Okay, so I've decided to hold an art contest. There is a prize, but I am not announcing it until the winner is decided.

 

Rules:

1) You must make the drawing of your OC alone.

2) You must use these colors only.

3) The drawing must be made in MS PAINT. Yes, MS Paint. I'm being serious. [/trollface]

4) You may only submit two entries.

Alright I'm in - I've been stalling out for a while to do my first "real" digital work. I will update this post once I finish so consider this a placeholder.

 

EDIT: sorry to sound dumb but were you serious about us having to use MS Paint?

I saw "Art contest" and I was interested, but then I saw that it had to be done digitally...  and then i got all sad, and then I got even more sad, and the I ate a banana and I was happy again.

 

Does it really have to be in MS paint, or can it be actually drawn, pencil + paper?

It has to be in MS Paint for the lulz.

However, after you come up with something in MS Paint, I will accept your pencil + paper drawing.

This is really more of a joke then a contest, I promise to not see you any lower because of your MS Paint drawing.

Pretty please will you post it? Having a mod in the contest would be good for its popularity

I felt inclined to partake in the festivities.

 

I drew my character Oddgob (which is where my username comes from). He can be seen drawn correctly in my avatar.

 

Here is my attempt in Paint, using only default colors and a mouse (instead of my usual graphic tablet):

Rule 2 states you must use only the colors I provide. Before it counts, you will have to recolor with the colors provided. Sorry

I used the colors you provided. You posted the default Paint colors. Look at the image below.

The left column is directly from the color pallet picture you posted. The right column is the colors I used. There is no difference.

If I had chosen my own colors, I would have used a less hideous shade of green.

 

My bad, I didn't register the green right away. I'll post it, good entry by the way.

So, we've got three entries so far, whoop-de-do. What now?

I don't even have MS Paint, and I don't plan on installing a crappy piece of software when I have 4 alternatives that are ten times better.

 

It's just that I don't feel like wasting time drawing a crappy piece of art.

I might do t. I'm only a hand drawer. I will never do digital. Too complicated. Also, if more people do hand drawn drawings these days, they can earn money faster.
