Six Heroes of Harmony

Drahgoon

Recommended Posts

I haven't been very active lately, as I've been quite busy with filming things for a project. However, I'm done with that and I've been working on this bit by bit for the past week. Something silly I came up with. Based on Final Fantasy 1 classes. Started out as just Fluttershy, but evolved into all 6 classes and ponies. Tried a new shading technique on Rarity, Dash, Applejack and Pinkie Pie. It's much faster. Anyways, enjoy!

I seriously don't get why there aren't any replies to this yet >_<

It's always great to see new work from you Drahgoon, you have a very unique style that instantly identifiable. Not to mention, it makes them look 20% cuter the way you draw their snouts. I've only ever encountered one other artist on dA that has a similar style to yours, and needless to say, I enjoy your style as much as I do his :)

p.s. I haven't been very active lately too since I've been so busy and stuff, but I think I might post something soon ;)

Signature to come soon. I think. Yeah. Once I think up a nice one. Or when someone makes one for me. Damn it. I need more time to draw and animate poni. >_<

Damn you have a great style you love it :D

Great job, don't really see any improvements!

But once again loving the unique art style, you've also done a great job with clothing them and the items on them :D!

This is pretty cool. My only turn off from this picture is their muzzles. they seem to be too bulky. Other than that this picture is awesome. I think i love the shading aspect of the picture the most. Also the characters fit with the classes.

Thanks for the feedback! I've experimented with smaller muzzles and more pointed ones in scrapped sketches many times before. I just like a more rounded muzzle, so I draw them rounded. I also drew them a bit far off of the face, so that might contribute to the bulkiness. I'll try to keep them shorter next time.

I demand a drawing of Pinkie suplexing a train!!

Otherwise nicely done, refreshing style, good choice of classes..

Maybe add a button to Twilight's cape/extend the brim (leaving a hole for the horn) to allow some shade on the face.

I overall feel that Twilight's design is very plain, and that's my fault. At the moment I have a chunk taken out of the front of her hat to give the horn some room. I felt like too big of a hat would look ridiculous, so I kept it smaller. The way I positioned the light source it lit up her face, so I don't think a bigger hat would have helped. Thanks for the feedback!

I say, a wizard's,hat can never be too big!

Back on topic, I had the same problem for my OC (see signatur) and a sketch of Twilight. I found it tends to look better with a hole for the horn rather than narrowing the brim.

Let me know, when the new version is up.
