OOC Topic

The young man sat in a bright room, drawing in a notepad he evidently kept with him in his small backpack. The room was plainly furnished. It had a bed, a mirror, a small painting depicting a bowl of fruit and a single Sunkern, and a table, at which the man currently sat. His blue eyes, behind those thick-rimmed glasses, shone with a brightness that bespoke his youth. The small purple creature that sat on his left shoulder began to chatter incessantly, clearly bored, but he smiled, and shushed the creature. "Quiet, Aipom. If you keep that up, you'll wake Eevee." And indeed, it appeared that what the young man had been drawing had not simply been a brown fuzz ball lying on the bed, but a Pokémon, curled up into a ball and breathing softly. Aipom did not seem to take kindly to being told to be quiet, and leapt from the man's shoulder over to the mirror, where he began to make funny faces at himself in the mirror for his own amusement.

A lurch, a shift in momentum. The boat must have finally arrived. It had been such a long journey from Slateport, spanning over several days. The man had mostly confined himself to his room most of the time; he was not overly fond of boats, or the water in general, as he had discovered upon arriving in Hoenn a month ago. Well, Johto will be better, he reflected.

Very kindly, he nudged the little brown ball that lay on his bed, and it lifted its head sleepily, eyes large and reproachful at being awoken. "Come now, Eevee, don't look at me like that," the man said. "You can rest some more in your Pokéball if you like. It's time to go."

Eevee's only response was to bury its head back into the ball it had been in before. Sighing, the man withdrew a white ball with a red band from the pocket in his dark violet hoodie, and in a flash of red light, the only trace showing that there had been an Eevee on the bed was a slight impression it left behind. A sticker depicting a fiery heart could be glimped for a second upon the ball before the man slipped it back into his hoodie.

Aipom back on shoulder, the man emerged from his room and looked out upon the Johtonian port city of Olivine. He grinned. "You ready, Aipom?"

"Pah!"

"That's good enough for me."

And together they stepped into the new region. Their new opportunity.

Some sort of ruckus was coming from a few rooms down in the boat, as the scene shifts to another room on the exact same boat. Inside, two little creatures seemed to be chasing another around the room, while a lanky teen was laying on a bed, just in pure boredom. He saw the two creatures running around, happily, until the boat came to jerk to a stop and the two creatures seemed to tumble into the wall. One of them was a highlight of red, being on top of the other, highlighted blue. The teen got up and stretched, seeing the two in the corner, and laughing.

"Come on, Plusle and Minun, stop playing around. We finally got to Olivine. And I still need to find out how I'm gonna carry you two in Pokeballs...", he said, before the two leapt into his arms. They seemed to be begging in a wave of "Plu's" and "Mi's", as the teen laughed. "All right, all right... But, you two have to promise me that you won't wander off into any trouble, got it?" The two Pokemon nodded, and attached theirselves to his shoulders, as the teen disembarked from his room, grinning at the thought of being in Johto... He stepped out of the ship, and onto the port of Olivine.

Stella looked over at the land nearing. It looked much less tropical then what she preferred, but wasn't about to judge by outward appearances for once. Leaning a bit more against the shiny metal railing stopping her from falling into the water, she blew the bit of red hair draped over her eyes away, and picked up one of the pokeballs she had attached to a metal chain around her neck, and summoned the pokemon inside.

"Oddish!" she called, letting out the small pokemon. It had been a while since Oddish had been out of her pokeball. Stella wasn't the kind to get very attached, but wanted her partner to start the journey with her.

Oddish blinked suprised as she was let out in a red glow, and yawned, before jumping into her trainer's arms.

Stella sighed softly, as they neared land. She minimized the pokeball again and reattached it to the chain, standing up straight to exit the boat. "Finally." She thought as they stepped off of the boat and into the new region.

Oddish yawned again, not excited for the journey at all.

Xatio woke early in the morning, with the sun shining down on him through the window. He rubbed his eyes and sat up from his bed. He looked to the window, but, to his surprise, Spearow was not there. He started to panic. "Spearow? Spearow? Where are you?" He jumped up from his bed and looked around. After looking through the house, he finally stepped outside to find Spearow flying just outside the door. "What are you doing?" Spearow then flew off. Xatio ran to get his bike and followed Spearow on it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Xatio could barely ride anymore. Spearow had taken him through Goldenrod city and Ecruteak city, and was just now stopping in route 19. She swooped down and landed on Xatio's head. "Hey... What was... that about?" He asked, puffing. He looked forwards. Spearow had just taken him to Olivine city. He tried to think. What was happening at Olivine city. The boat! Why Spearow had taken him here, he didn't know, but he didn't doubt her. Spearow had been his friend for a long time. "Right then, do you want to see the boat while we're here?" Spearow nodded, as if to say yes, and he walked towards where the ship was supposed to be. Maybe he could even meet some new friends. It was possible, considering these were people from all over the (Insert name of pokeworld here).

A tall pale girl with pitch black hair sat in her room with her head on her desk...snoring loudly. She lay there peacefully until there was a loud *CRASH*. The girl jumped awake and looked around the room only to see a small Abra hiding behind the bad, staring at a smashed plate on the ground. The girl chuckled and stood up. "Hey Aby, Its alright buddy." She said, walking over and picking up the shaking Abra.

It held on around the girls neck as she walked over to a nearby closet. She pulled out a broom and a dustpan, then began cleaning up all the sharp pieces.

When she finished she glanced out the window at the harbor to see a large ship coming into port. She looked away and threw all the sharp pieces of the broken plate into a garbage next to her desk, obviously not interested.

After that she placed the Abra on her bed and walked into the bathroom. She brushed her long hair and washed her face before walking out. She picked up her bag and gestured for the Abra to follow her as she pushed open the door and walked down the stairs.

"Good morning Mrs. Danlep." She said. A rather short lady with short curly blonde hair looked out of the kitchen and smiled. "Good Morning Luna. Where are you of too today ?" She asked.

"The usual...the lighthouse." She said, smiling slightly before walking out the door, grabbing a large round sunhat on her way.
Abra happily followed behind her.

(OOC: Since Olivine isn't her home town...i'm just gonna say she is staying with some friends of her parents or something...wow...maybe we should have made this an advanced RP...this is a long post.)

"P-O-K-E-M-O-N, POKEMON!!!" Roxie's music blasted from Leon's headphones into his ears as he nodded his head in rhythm with the music. Soon he heard a crash in his room and looked back to see his Growlithe struggling to get out of the trash can with his Riolu laughing at it's victim. "Uhgg you guys, don't fight here I don't want to have to pay for this stuff." Leon said after taking off his headphones and walking over to the two Pokemon. While Leon helped Growlithe out of the trash can the boat he was on, the S.S Anne, was about to arrive in Olivine City. The boat's horn sounded as the ship moved closer into port.

"We're here already?" he asked himself putting down Growlithe and looking out the window. "Well it's about time." he said thinking out loud. "Okay guys lets go, and please behave yourselves. Remember you two are teammates now and you have to act like it if we are to get to the Indigo Plateau." The two Pokemon looked at each other for a moment before looking back at their trainer and nodding in agreement. "Good now let's see what's so special about this Johto region." Leon said before getting his bag and going up to the deck.

Stella got off the boat quickly, and looked out at the ocean. She didn't want to feel homesick, but couldn't help but feel it slightly. Turning around quickly to survey the area, The building were huge, and there looked like there was a lot to do there. Stella looked back down to the Oddish to see an indifferent expression on her face.

Sighing, Stella quickly left to stroll around the city, being claustrophobic and not wanting to get caught up with the rushing crowd.

As soon she was sure she had ducked away from the crowd, Stella pulled out a map she had in her bag, seeing the lighthouse, she remembered why Olivine City was such a big tourist attraction. "The lighthouse. Right." She said aloud, beginning to walk in that direction, hoping not too many people would be around.

Oddish had fallen asleep at this point.

@,

The young fellow trod down the well-worn street that ran right next to the water, looking at the waves and at the city itself, marvelling at the sight. This city must be nearly as big as Hearthome! On his shoulder, Aipom's eyes had grown wide, and he was reaching out towards the tallest building visible in the area, a lighthouse.

"Pahhhh." "Okay, Aipom, we can go check it out," the man said, chortling, looking at the Pokemon on his shoulder. Moments later, Aipom screeched as he bumped into somebody. He glanced at her - it was a tall, somewhat skinny girl he'd collided with - and was about to apologise when Aipom leapt off his shoulders and picked up the sunhat that the girl must have dropped, putting it on his own head and chattering excitedly. All he could do was give his Aipom an exasperated look before swiping the sunhat off his Pokemon's yowling head and hand it back to its owner.

"Sorry about that."

She didn't say anything as the boy's Aipom took her sunhat and placed it on its head. She slowly took the hat from the boy after he had snatched it from his Pokemon. "Its okay...I read that some Aipom's can be really mischievous and cheeky so I don't really mind." She said, putting her hat back on and reaching down to pick up the books that had fallen...Abra did his best to help out as well.

As soon as he was able to Leon got off the S.S. Anne, even if that meant fighting through the huge crowd of people. "Uhgg..excuse me I...Hey watch it kid! Well that was fun." Leon said finally off the boat and able to explore Olivine as he pleased. "This place should have a gym somewhere." he said checking his map. Meanwhile Riolu had snuck away in search of something to do. He closed his eyes and suddenly all he could see were colored blobs, or as Riolu saw them, people's auras. Riolu started following one that stood out from the crowd, a girl with a rather sleepy Oddish. "Rio-Riolu!" the Pokemon cried out to get the girl's attention.

Stella looked confused at the Riolu that was standing before them. As far as she knew, Riolu shouldn't be in the Johto region, period. She examined the pokemon a bit closer, before remembering something.

"Oh. Right. The gym leader here is supposed to be a steel type trainer, so I would guess a lot of trainers follow in her footsteps with the whole type thing." She thought aloud. "I don't understand why focusing on one type is such a good idea, but, whatever."

At this point, Oddish has woken up and let out a soft yawn.

Riolu inspected the girl's Oddish but came to the conclusion that....it was just an Oddish. He then closed his eyes and looked at her aura again. What was it that made her stand out? Before Riolu could come to a conclusion Growlithe appeared barking as a way of telling Leon that Riolu had been found. "There you are. Come on I found out where the gym is...I think." he said before sending Riolu back to his pokeball. "Sorry if my Riolu bothered you or anything. I just caught him a couple of days ago back in Floccesy Town and he's rather mischievous." Leon said apologizing to the girl.

"It's fine..." Stella said quietly, not wanting to really converse at this moment. "Wait. Did you say something about a gym?" She asked, getting a bit excited. The lighthouse could wait. If there was a gym near by, that was going to be her top priority. Even if Oddish was most likely going to have to be a stand alone, with Absol being a brat and all, a little practice is always nice.

"Would you mind showing me where it is?" She asked. Oddish had begun struggling against her hold, wanting to be let down.

"Oh uh...Sure. Follow me I think I passed it on the way over here, im Leon by the way." he said introducing himself before motioning for the girl to follow him as he walked away.

"This looks like the place." he said walking up to the gym. "Isn't the gym leader here a steel type user? I hope you have a fire type or something because I don't think that little Oddish will be able to do much to, say a Steelix." Leon said underestimating the girl's Pokemon.

"Oh, I'm sure I've got that covered." Stella said in reply, letting Oddish down as she was struggling against her far too much at this point.  "And if Absol decided to co-operate in a tense battle position, I'll defiantly have that in the bag." She thought, beginning to trail off.

The gym didn't look like anything ridiculously impressive. It looked like a simple building, just with a pyramid outing of steel. Most gyms are known for incorporating their type, but generally it's also in a way that looks nice. This just looked... lazy. "GYM" was spelt out in garish yellow letters over the door. To say the least, not very intimidating.

"Thanks." She said, turning to the boy again. "I'm Stella... I suppose you're challenging too?" She asked, casually.

@,@,

At the moment, the Olivine Gym's sole inhabitant was a somewhat shy-looking girl who wore a large bow upon her chest. Most of her hair cascaded down her back, but two bunches had been pulled up and were held in place by two orange hair ornaments. This girl's name was Jasmine.

Jasmine sat in a chair at the back of her gym, which consisted of a single silvery hall. There were two Pokemon hovering over her shoulder that she was watching with due interest. One of them, a round orb with hovering magnets and screws, began to buzz, and a snip of electricity bounced from the end of one of its magnets, bouncing off of the one that resembled a sentient hexagon.

Outside the gym, where two trainers sat gossiping happily, an even younger girl with short green hair forced her way between them rudely, knocking an Oddish out of one of their arms. Without even sparing them a second glance, she entered the gym at her breakneck pace. Jasmine merely spared the child an amused glance before returning her attention to her Magnemite and Bronzor.

"Jasmine." The young girl's voice was strong.

"Yes, Janina?" Jasmine's, in stark contrast, was very quiet.

"The SS Anne arrived today. Any second now, the Gym is going to be flooded with trainers. Please, please let me battle some of them. I know I can do it." Her plea was met by a somewhat scolding look. "Janina, I told you. You're not ready. Go along to the Lighthouse, why don't you? Surely somebody there will take you on. The Gym is my responsibility. Not yours." The girl scoffed and turned on her heel, and stormed out of the Gym.

Jasmine sighed, and returned her attention to the two steel Pokemon still playing with a spark of electricity.

Stella seemed a bit overconfident considering all she had was an Oddish. Though for all Leon knew she had a Charizard with her or something. "Oh- Well that was the plan. I should probably train but considering I have both a fire type and a fighting type I think I should be oka-" Leon was cut off when a green haired girl rushed into the gym knocking into both Leon and Stella. "And I thought people from Castelia where in a hurry." Leon said to himself sarcastically before entering the gym.

He saw the green haired girl arguing with another girl that had two Pokemon, a Magnemite and Bronzor, floating above her. Leon must have walked into the tail end of the argument because a few seconds after entering the Gym the green haired girl stormed out of the building leaving the other girl with only the two Pokemon to keep her company.

"I assume your the gym leader?" Leon said walking up to Jasmine. "You know it's been a while since I've challenged a gym, but aren't your lackeys suppose to come out and challenge me or something?" Leon asked sounding a bit cheeky.

Stella made Oddish return, and clipped the pokeball back onto her chain. Before following the boy inside. She didn't notice the green haired girl storming out, but came in time to here the boy's question, and rolled her eyes, blowing a piece of hair out of her eyes.

Stella was beginning to get nervous. Judging by how well Absol had always battled for her father, or at least as far as she remembered, though she could have been very naive with how young she was last time she saw them battling together, fairly well. In the heat of a battle, he may listen to her. But if he didn't; she would look like an idiot.

Stella sighed, and looked at the two pokemon that were hovering beside the gym leader. They looked fairly strong as well...

Jasmine nodded, and deigned not acknowledge the boy's rudeness. Rather, she just answered his question. "That's right, I'm Jasmine, leader of Olivine Gym. And in Olivine it's a bit of a tradition to climb the lighthouse before challenging the gym, but it seems our traditions means little to a Unovan." She merely smiled at the girl who had followed him in, and without looking at him, she spoke to the boy again. "Was it a battle you wanted, stranger?"

Over her shoulder, Magnemite and Bronzor had turned their gaze to the two guests who now stood before them. Bronzor, apparently the friendlier of the two, floated over towards the young woman and peered at her with some interest.

Drew smiled briefly, then pick up a squirming Aipom and placed him back on his shoulder. "We're sorry to bother you. Aren't we, Aipom?"

"Pah." It did not sound convincing, but Drew rolled with it.

"I... suppose we'll get out of your way now, then? We just wanted to see the lighthouse. That's the biggest thing people seem to associate with Olivine, isn't it?"

Letting out a huge yawn, the boy from Pacifilog stepped of the SS Anne and into a whole new region.

"Yawn, so......Johto region, come out Poliwag we're here" he said cheerfully as he pick a pokeball from his pocket and opened it to release a Poliwag.

"Poliwag" replied the Poliwag with glee as he looked at his partner and hopped into his arms. "yep, Johtonian port city, so where to first?" he ask Poliwag who responded buy jumping onto the ground to preform some fighting motions. "we don't need to rush to the gym Poliwag, besides" he said holding his now growling gut "I bite to eat sure sounds good now, and we need to get you some Salveyo weed"

Poliwags eyes widened to the mention of his favorite treat and leaped back into Paul’s arm as they left the port to the Pokemon center.

@@Flareon,

Stella smiled back at Jasmine, but quickly looked away to look around the gym. She was getting a bit more nervous with each second. Even so much as calling out Oddish would look bad, and she couldn't call out Absol first, in case he didn't listen to her.

Noticing the Bronzor hover towards her, she smiled nervously at it. It looked about a similar strength to Oddish, but had a large type advantage as well. Especially if she planned on using her venoshock combo.

Stella shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts, and looked back at the Bronzor.
