Smiling, Drew nodded. "Sounds like we're camping in Sudo Grove tonight, then."   The air was quite fresh as they arrived in Ecruteak City. The ancient city seemed quite serene with the now-golden sky. Drew decided to let his new acquisition gain some fresh air. And out of the Pokeball with the blue sticker came a Shinx. The same one from that guy with the Rocket hat.

 

Luna smiled at the Shinx. "So you got it eh ? I was kinda wondering why that boy just had it sitting in his backpack...it was rather strange." She said, pulling out two pokeballs.

Moments later, there was Gastly floating up into the sky...and Abra...sleeping by Luna's bag which she had placed on the ground.

Ember caught Hoothoot in the wing, and it spiraled to the ground, colliding hard, and from where it hooed dolefully, looking sadly at the singed feathers on its wing.

As soon at Hoothoot stopped attacking Riolu it ran back to Leon and brushed itself off. "Okay lets go I guess." Leon said returning both his Pokemon to their respective Pokeballs. Just before he started to leave he looked at the hurt Hoothoot who was staring at it's burnt wing, obviously in pain. Jasmine's words then rang;

 

"You might want to catch another Pokemon before you challenge Chuck or Morty or Pryce."

 

Leon sighed and took out a Pokeball. "Might as well catch it." He said before throwing it at Hoothoot.

"Well. I suppose I'll have to wait for Vulpix." Stella thought, slightly irritated. She then clipped back the pokeball containing Vulpix and unclipped the one containing Oddish. "Alright! Oddish!" She called out, sending out the small pokemon.

 

Once realizing that they were in a battle, Oddish jumped around excitedly, but then relaxed, getting ready to use sweet scent, as per how battles normally started.

What the... Is Minun playing tricks on me? Or... Is there actually a Pokemon inside there? Either way, Minun took no haste with this, as he slowly came closer to the boulder, still observing it.

 

"Mi? Miiii-nun?", it was calmly asking.

 

And Plusle was having too much fun with Krabby to even know the current situation...

Shinx was gazing up at Gastly with a look of innocent wonder.

 

As soon at Hoothoot stopped attacking Riolu it ran back to Leon and brushed itself off. "Okay lets go I guess." Leon said returning both his Pokemon to their respective Pokeballs. The Hoothoot did not really struggle at all, and was caught almost effortlessly.

Bibarel gazed down upon Oddish with a look that matched the haughty one of its master.  With a nod from Claire, it began to sprint at Oddish.

"Annndd... Sweet Scent." Stella commanded Oddish, who let out a Sweet Scent almost immediately, having had it built up for quite a while at this point. Oddish then got ready to execute a PoisonPowder, as was the typical moves she always used first. Stella waited to see if the Sweet Scent would have an effect.

Ryan jumped a little as well. "So there is a Pokemon in there... That's... clever. Sort of like the Geodudes you find in rocks... Wellm I think I know what to do. Mi--"

 

All of a sudden, he had to recoil from rocks being blasted in his face. He looked back, seeing that Minun had destroyed the boulder with its Spark attack. "Well... done, Minun?", he asked quizzically.

"Yep," Drew quipped. "He seemed to think it ate too much. Practically gave this to me, didn't he? In the Olivine Pokemon Center." He chuckled.    Shinx was gazing up at Gastly with a look of innocent wonder.

 

Luna nodded. "Lucky you." She said, giggling at Shinx's look of wonder.

Gastly flew off through some tree's then back over to Drew and Luna. He hovered above them before floating down just a few feet off the ground, staring at Luna. "Fine." She muttered, reaching into her bag and pulling out the same treat she had given to Aipom.

The second she pulled it from her bag, Abra awoke and started tugging on her sleeve. "Abra...you must be hollow...All you do is eat...and sleep." She chuckled and pulled another treat from her bag, then she gave it to Abra who took it and ate it happily.

Ariyos sitting in his room reading a book eevee was at his side curled up next to him. *his phone rang* " Ariyios "Hello" "hello son did you receive my present"   "yes i did dad thank you eevee is so cute" "Im glad you like him son but i think its time for you take eevee out and explore the world.  "But father why" "Its about time you learned more about the world than just from the window you are old enough to make you own decisions now go take eevee and go have fun" Aryios looked at eevee who looked back at him ready to go. "Well i guess you want to on an adventure huh?" Aryios said calmly. Eevee ran and hopped on his shoulder. Aryios grabbed his gear a six pokeballs, his pokedex, and his bag with survival tools and stuff in it. "Well eevee you ready for this its time for a new adventure." Eevee let out a happy squeak. Aryios walked out the door. He knew that this was going to be one heck of an adventure.

((Bibarel's ability is Unaware, which protects it from stat changes such as that from Sweet Scent. But Oddish should be faster than it.))

A red shell was seen spinning in the sand in the center of what had once been a boulder. Once it had stabilized, the narrow yellow head poked out to see its surroundings, then Shuckle emerged from its shell and attempted to scramble away across the sand.

 

Luna nodded. "Lucky you." She said, giggling at Shinx's look of wonder.

Gastly flew off through some tree's then back over to Drew and Luna. He hovered above them before floating down just a few feet off the ground, staring at Luna. "Fine." She muttered, reaching into her bag and pulling out the same treat she had given to Aipom.

Ariyos sitting in his room reading a book eevee was at his side curled up next to him. *his phone rang* " Ariyios "Hello" "hello son did you receive my present"   "yes i did dad thank you eevee is so cute" "Im glad you like him son but i think its time for you take eevee out and explore the world.  "But father why" "Its about time you learned more about the world than just from the window you are old enough to make you own decisions now go take eevee and go have fun" Aryios looked at eevee who looked back at him ready to go. "Well i guess you want to on an adventure huh?" Aryios said calmly. Eevee ran and hopped on his shoulder. Aryios grabbed his gear a six pokeballs, his pokedex, and his bag with survival tools and stuff in it. "Well eevee you ready for this its time for a new adventure." Eevee let out a happy squeak. Aryios walked out the door. He knew that this was going to be one heck of an adventure. 
 

Goldenrod City glimmers, as it always does at this late time of day. You take a few steps off your doorstep and notice the new Egg Stand set up by the south gate. There is a Grimer oozing its way out of a sewer across the street. The Gym, Radio Building, Casino, and Underground Tunnel all seem like appealing places to visit now that you're free to go wherever you like. Alternatively, you could travel to another city, but it's getting late and it's never wise to get caught between cities after dark by yourself.

Forgot about that. Stella thought, gritting her teeth, irritated. "Oddish! Get out of the way, then PoisonPowder!" She called out to Oddish. While Oddish may not be the fastest pokemon, she was also probably quicker then a big Bibarel using a move with a long swinging motion involved.

"Whoa! What in the world?!", Ryan cried out, jumping back to see the Shuckle scurry off somewhere else. "Well, that was... unexpected. Nice going, Minun.", he said, looking down to his partner, who ran back to him, jumping up his body and onto his shoulder.

 

However, Plusle had caught sight of the odd Pokemon scurrying away, abandoning her Krabby friend to see where the Pokemon was going. Once it had caught up to it, she tried to talk to it with a series of "Plus!" and "Sle!" 's, hoping it would stop.

Spearow flew back onto Xatio's head. He smiled. "Well, if I'm going to be a trainer, I guess I should catch some more pokemon." "Spear-row!" Spearow pointed towards route 39. "Of course!" He sat up, then started walking out of the city towards the route. He wondered what pokemon they would catch first. Only time could tell.

Luna giggled and pulled another bun from her bag. She held it out for Shynx then looked up. "So what do you want for dinner ? Mrs. Danlep gave me all sorts of things to cook with...and I don't want to brag...but I am a pretty good chef." She smiled and patted Shynx on the head.

Gastly had eaten the bun in one bite and was now souring high above them...Abra was walking just behind them and would occasionally fall behind but after noticing this he would quickly pick up the pace.

Bibarel's attack was a clean miss, and it took the blast of poisonpowder full to the face. It coughed as the wave of water that emitted from Bibarel's tail washed Oddish across the field.

"Hello! Welcome back, Aryios! Is there anythinig I can do for you today?"

There was a herd of Tauros outside the fence. A Milktank had escaped the farm and was rolling around. There were three shuffling trees, one by a fence, one by Olivine City, and one that was buzzing ominously. A Snubbull noses at a batch of grass curiously, smelling it.

 

Luna giggled and pulled another bun from her bag. She held it out for Shynx then looked up. "So what do you want for dinner ? Mrs. Danlep gave me all sorts of things to cook with...and I don't want to brag...but I am a pretty good chef." She smiled and patted Shynx on the head.

Gastly had eaten the bun in one bite and was now souring high above them...Abra was walking just behind them and would occasionally fall behind but after noticing this he would quickly pick up the pace.

Plusle looked a little disappointed, staring at the terrified Shuckle, wondering what it could do to help it out. Once Krabby had came back, looking a bit pissed at her. Plusle said the following to try to explain the situation.

 

"Plusle! Plu-plu-sle Plusle Plu! Sle... Plusle!" That's when Plusle had an idea. She slowly approached the Shuckle with caution, and when the timing was right, Plusle gave the Shuckle a big old hug, to try to calm it down, also motioning for Krabby to follow her idea.

 

Ryan and Minun were wondering where the heck Plusle went, looking all around Cianwood City, before walking inside an odd building, being greeted with a loud roaring of water...

Drew shrugged. "Whatever's easiest, I suppose. We can take turns at cooking, I'm not bad myself. I mean... My cooking's not bad." He turned slightly pink at his slip of the tongue, and averted his face by looking at Shinx, who had taken it upon himself to play with his shoelaces.   They had reached the Apricorn Grove just south of Ecruteak now, and Drew took a tent out of his bag and began to pitch it.

Luna dropped her bag onto the ground and pulled an old small looking tent from it.

She began setting it up...but moments later there was a loud ripping noise and the fabric of the tent lay in two pieces. "Damn It." She said, letting out an annoyed sigh.

After being pushed to the opposite side of the field, Oddish easily regained it's balance and got back up quickly.

 

Excellent. Stella thought. Now that there was distance between the two, it would be fairly easy for Oddish to hit it's opponent, but not the other way around, due to Oddish's size. "Alright. Absorb!" She called out to the Oddish.

 

Oddish began using an Absorb attack.

((Alright, guys, the day's starting to get late. Prepare to find somewhere to sleep overnight, kay?))

Plusle looked a little disappointed, staring at the terrified Shuckle, wondering what it could do to help it out. Once Krabby had came back, looking a bit pissed at her. Plusle said the following to try to explain the situation.

"Plusle! Plu-plu-sle Plusle Plu! Sle... Plusle!" That's when Plusle had an idea. She slowly approached the Shuckle with caution, and when the timing was right, Plusle gave the Shuckle a big old hug, to try to calm it down, also motioning for Krabby to follow her idea.

 

Ryan and Minun were wondering where the heck Plusle went, looking all around Cianwood City, before walking inside an odd building, being greeted with a loud roaring of water...

Krabby seemed to have different ideas. Apparently irritated Shuckle was paying attention to Shuckle instead of it, it used one of its snippers to pinch Plusle's tail. Hard.

 

Shuckle remained hidden in the shell.

 

((MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Drew looked over at the torn tent sadly. "That's a shame." He looked up at the sky, then began to pack his tent back away as well. "It's lucky the weather's so good tonight, though. We can sleep under the open skies, and get you a new tent in Goldenrod tomorrow. Okay?"

"Bibarel! Water gun!"

 

The Bibarel managed to turn its head, doggedly, towards Oddish, where it began to spout Water Gun, which began to push back Oddish's Absorb attack.

Stella knew that a Water type attack wouldn't be very powerful, but it was always better safe then sorry. Oddish had a chance to get out of the way, so they better take it. "Oddish! Let go!" Stella commanded. Oddish immediately stopped using the attack, and quickly tried to get out of the way.

"PLUSLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!" That was the only thing that was heard outside, as Plusle ran around in circles, finally calming down, and holding onto her tail, seeing it was a bit swollen. She gave the Krabby a bit of a glare, shooting out some "Plus!", angrily at the Krabby. 

 

Ryan and Minun were exiting the building. They found the Gym of the town, but it would appear to be closed... He would check that out in the morning. But first, he needed to find Plusle...

Xatio walked over to a shuffling tree, that was close to a fence. It would seem there was something in the leaves. Well, he did want to catch some more pokemon. "Spearow! Use fly on the tree!" Spearow flew straight up into the air, then sped downwards, slamming into the tree.

Luna nodded...what didn't show was that tiny little piece of her that she never thought about...was crying.

Her eyes widened slightly...no...she couldn't have been thinking that...no.

She started to blush so she busied herself with putting her tent back into her bag, doing her best to hide her blush.

Leon walked up to the Pokeball that contained Hoothoot and picked it up. "Well that was pathetically easy." Leon said to himself. "I suppose I better get to a Pokemon center. I can't imagine it being too fun when part of you is on fire." Leon said walking off to Ecruteak City. When he finally got there he looked around. "Neat." he said thinking out loud. He would go sight seeing tomorrow. [He always wanted to see the Bell Tower in person] Right now it was getting late and he had a bird whose wing was on fire.
