Champion RD92 8,658 March 18, 2013 Share March 18, 2013 Does anyone know where I could buy a good-quality, affordable Rainbow Dash plushie? It needs to be show-accurate, and not those crappy looking ones that I've seen. I heard there is this company in Germany that is making good plushies at an affordable price, but they are only in Europe :/
Display Name 448 March 18, 2013 Share March 18, 2013 (edited) Honestly, i'v been trying to look for one aswell. I hate how they always get their mane wrong. Especially when its all stringy. I have yet to find one show-accurate.. This is one i have yet to actually find, ANYWHERE. You don't know how bad i want this one.. Delirium 208 March 18, 2013 Share March 18, 2013 I got my applejack plushie from amazon so you can look there, you know what? i'll look for you. *looks* HOLY HELL $1000 FOR A DAMN PLUSHIE? Oh wait I found a pretty good one, atleast in my opinion. http://www.amazon.com/My-Little-Pony-Friendship-Rainbow/dp/B008JO54UU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1363648031&sr=8-3&keywords=rainbow+dash+plushie
Inngy 18 March 18, 2013 Share March 18, 2013 Not sure about Rainbow Dash, but I've seen some good looking handmade plushies of Fluttershy on eBay. The really good ones go anywhere from $100 to $300. Not sure if you'd be willing to pay that much for a plushie, or whether you would even want to use eBay though. Again, these are prices I've seen for Fluttershy, it might be worth a browse to see what you can find though.

Its because they actually take the time to make them look authentic and show accurate. All Hasbro does is throw it into a crappy plushie-making thingie mc bob. No hard work at all and they look just downright terrible..
Shining Wing 201 March 18, 2013 Share March 18, 2013 I honestly see why people overprice them. Its because they actually take the time to make them look authentic and show accurate. And materials. The expensive plushies are often made of minky, which is a pretty expensive fabric.

The eBay plushies are priced about right in my opinion, and is totally worth it if you really want one that badly. I know I'm probably going to get my own little Fluttershy off eBay once I've got the money, and am old enough to move out of the house, as I'm not sure how my mom would look at me if I spent $100+ on a plushie. But I would never buy the Hasbro ones, since the mane and tail are definitely the worst part of the whole thing. If they would just use the same material that they used on the body, on the mane and tail, that would be a big improvement since it would actually look like the character. That weird "spaghetti hair" looking stuff just kills it.

GrooveBroove 680 March 19, 2013 Share March 19, 2013 The Build A Bear plushie coming in April is looking pretty good if you ask me. Definitely better than the actual hasbro ones. http://www.equestriadaily.com/2013/02/build-bear-pony-plushies.html?m=1

Scootaloo Is Best Filly 578 March 19, 2013 Share March 19, 2013 (edited) I got a pretty decent Rainbow Dash for like 40 dollars off Ebay . It's not the best but, still.... To me it looked to be in pretty good condition, so if you're looking for something a little less expensive sometimes you can find something off ebay for less then 100 bucks. That weird "spaghetti hair" looking stuff just kills it. That spaghetti hair thing just looks weird, I agree. They could really improve those plushies just by simply changing the manes and tails to match the style that the characters actually have. They would still need more work, sure, but that would be a good first step. As for where to attain a good Rainbow Dash plushie, I'm not sure. I'd like one myself, but I don't have the money to spend on one at this point. 1 #bringbackmerriwetherwillaims
Lady Leopardess 393 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 If you're up for waiting then Aurora will be coming out with a RD and the rest of the gang in the summer. http://www.toywiz.com/aurorarainbowdashlarge.html The thing with brushable ponies like the build a bear is you can style them to look more accurate too.(plus you can add sounds to build a bear ones)
Laurasnake 6 March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 You can custom order some amazing plushies on Deviantart. I've ordered two plushies before from the following user: http://mihoyonagi.deviantart.com/ $70 per basic pony commission They're a great size, and look like they've been plucked from the show. Absolutely stunning, and at an affordable price, too! Below are two great examples, which happen to be the ones I ordered, haha xD http://mihoyonagi.deviantart.com/art/Commission-MLP-Fluttershy-3-349501146?q=gallery%3Amihoyonagi%2F2543129&qo=1 http://mihoyonagi.deviantart.com/art/Commission-Itsy-Pony-Rarity-4-349499355 Well, anyway, hope this helped! ^-^ 1 Image © whoever the heck made it. I have no idea who. I just found it. I'll make a cool siggy when I'm not so lazy. Well, yeah. Ponies and spike © Hasbro, obviously. My avatar © .... someone. Yeah. Why are you even reading this, still? I have no idea. This writing looks really small and long and boring. But hey, I won't criticise you. What this text needs is some sparkle. Some magic. Some colour! Wooh, that was a bit of a shock. Kind of. Hard to see, since I'm writing so tiny. By the way, are you STILL reading this? I thought it was boring. And small. And stuff... Mhm. You know, while I've got you here, let me tell you a bit about me. I'm a girl. Fluttershy is my favourite pony. I play the piano. I have a goldfish called Ambrolicious. He's fabulous. Very. <3 I really should go soon, I'm making my signature look ever so awfully boring. But you see, I love writing. However, this is really dull. So, I know what to do! Add some more colour!~ Now, this really IS enough. You have to have something better to do. I know I have. Playing transformice. I'm Laurasnake on there, btw. Yeah. I should go now. See you later! <
Kimmorz 5 March 28, 2013 Share March 28, 2013 I say your best bet for getting show-accurate plushies at an affordable price, is either wait until the Aurora or 4th Dimension plushies come out. 4th Dimension has only shown their Twilight, but she looks about as good as the custom made ones. I don't know when they plan on releasing Dash though, since she's going to be coming out in the second wave. Those are going to be $25, I believe, but only available in comic book stores, online or at conventions.

I would recommend this one lady who creates plushies that I watch on DeviantArt, but her plushies are expensive and super high quality, and I know you're looking for something cheaper. I'm sort of in the same boat as you then, I guess... I wish it was easier to get my hooves on a great Rainbow Dash plushie that wouldn't cause my wallet and myself to cry! 1 #bringbackmerriwetherwillaims

Harmonic Revelations 8,835 April 15, 2013 Share April 15, 2013 If you want a show quality plushie I can only recommend commissioning one from a talented artist, DeviantArt would be a good place to look, or maybe even some of our very own members. However, it will not come cheap, in all probability.
GrooveBroove 680 April 15, 2013 Share April 15, 2013 In terms of store plushies the only bet right now is the Build a Bear one. http://www.amazon.com/RAINBOW-DASH-Build-Bear-Workshop/dp/B00C4Q1GLU/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1366004120&sr=8-13&keywords=rainbow+dash+plush The only other option i'm seeing is this http://www.amazon.com/Little-Friendship-Magic-Figure-Rainbow/dp/B008WUDPRK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366004118&sr=8-1&keywords=rainbow+dash+plush These are the only two I know of official wise. Like Harmonic said you can go for commission plushes but those do run a pretty penny.

I was wondering if anybody could help me out here on the MLP Forums. You made your own separate topic for finding a Rainbow plush, but the fact is yours is the same exact thing that RD92 posted a while back, of which you also commented in prior to :3 They work as the same topic, since you're both looking for a 'decent Rainbow plushie'. I've merged them.
