  1. So I'm about 17 days into creation. I've went over all of the personality traits, and I've been narrating occasionally. The thing is, I haven't forced since Tuesday of last week(AKA Day 12). I feel like I'm just not motivated and not into the whole thing anymore. I feel like I started slacking after Day 2 because I ended up not doing full hours, instead I would do 25 minutes, take a 5 minute break, and then do another 25 minutes. I would love to have a fully completed tulpa, I'm just not sure I'm ready to put the work into that tulpa at this point in my life. I've been having family issues lately and that may or may not have made me depressed, I'm not sure. The thing I'm worried about is I've kind of begun to feel an emotional connection to my tulpa, and I begin to feel sad when I think about just forgetting about her(beginning to feel a lump in my throat like I'm about to cry as I type this). I've seen small deviations like a color change, or a small size increase, but that could have just been me. I've also felt a pressure in the back of my head, but nothing consistent, it's mostly just when I'm forcing, or thinking about her. I hope she's not sentient because if I were to stop now, I don't want to hurt her. I really don't want to continue because I feel that would only hurt her even more. I just need some advice. Feedback is appreciated. I feel like an idiot for not thinking about this more, and any hate I receive is deserved. EDIT: I spoke with a member on this thread, and I've now decided I'm going to continue on with tulpa creation. I feel like part of my lack of motivation I was feeling was because I was impatient. I realize tulpas take work and I'm willing to coontinue. I'm going to start my next session tomorrow after work.
  2. I've been spending a lot of time on Black Ops 2 for the past few months. I realize it's not the best game ever, but for some reason, I get so much entertainment out of it. I've spent a lot of time in the zombies mode because it's so addictive for some reason. I've been trying to get into Fallout 3 and Dishonored, but that game that everyone loves to hate keeps calling me back. It's kind of like the Kanye West of the gaming world.
  3. Nintendo GameCube Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP Nintendo DS Lite Sony PlayStation Portable Sony PlayStation 3(My favorite)
  4. I'll hopefully be getting the PS4. Getting pretty hyped after I heard The Elder Scrolls: Online, and Diablo III were coming out for it.
  5. I first found out about tulpas from this thread when I started casually reading it a couple months ago. I've read up to page 93 and plan on finishing somewhere in the near future. Yesterday I finally started to create one. I've decided to call her Raindrop(sorry if I jacked the name of anyone's OC) for now, instead of just calling her tulpa. I'm going to work on personality first and then expand on the form, which is a small blue orb with a small bump on it(probably going to make it the neck when I get there) that can fit in my hands while I talk to her. I've started a sort of "Tulpa Binder" where I can keep any useful things I find on the internet, as well as daily progress reports. So far I have: FAQ Man's Trait Template(which shows you how to go in depth into a trait by going through a bunch of questions about the trait),Tulpa Character Traits, Character Trait Definitions, and the first page of my journals. The character traits that I've decided to give her: Cheerful, Dependable, Considerate, Encouraging, Friendly, Gentle, Honest, Funny, Affectionate, Mischievous, Attentive, Adventurous, Ambitious, Energetic, Bold, Curious, Cautious, Clever, Decisive, Positive/Optimistic. I may change some of these, I'm not sure. So far I've done cheerful, and dependable. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated on whether these are good traits or not. I did an hour of forcing last night. I have this app on my iPhone that's called iBrainwave, and I had that set on "Meditate". Any suggestions on other things to listen to would be appreciated, since I feel like that made me kind of tired, and I had a hard time constantly visualizing her. That could also be the fact that it's my first time though. After forcing about two traits which took maybe 15 minutes for cheerful, I sat there until the half hour mark which was when my iPhone alarm went off to let me know to move on to the next trait. I could only go on about dependable for about 10 minutes, and then I began repeating things, and just sitting in silence trying to focus on my tulpa. This was with the question sheet. I'm not sure if it's hindering to keep opening my eyes after every question to read a new question from the sheet, once again, any feedback would be appreciated. After the hour was up I decided to start narrating right off the bat. I talked to her in my head while I made myself a cup of coffee despite how late it was, and while I played video games. I'm not sure how effective it was though. I might just wait until I start getting sign of sentience before I begin narrating again. As I went to bed I tried filling that void in my head with a bed that I could sleep in and a nightstand beside it with a small pet bed on top of it for Raindrop to sleep in. I haven't done any forcing today, but I plan on trying to force in an hour or so and work on the next two traits. I also had a question about these headaches that people get when they create their tuplas. Are they just regular headaches, or are they actual migraines? I get the type of migraines that have aura before the actual pain of the migraine and it is not a nice experience. I'm just wondering because I got one of my migraines today, but I'm not sure if it would be the tulpa since it's only been an hour of forcing. Also, would it be safe to take a pill such as Advil, or Tylenol? Would this hinder the creation process in any way? Any replies that I get would be greatly appreciated as well as any tips for a beginner. Sorry for the word wall that I've created... Then again, I've seen plenty on here. EDIT: I just had my second tulpaforcing session and I went over the next two traits. While I was about halfway through the second trait, Raindrop appeared to change from blue to a bit of a dark orange. I didn't see it happen, I opened my eyes to look at another question, and when I closed my eyes again she was orange. I don't know if that was a deviation on her part this early on, or whether it was just my brain jumping places, but I'm just going to roll with it in case it was her and she doesn't feel like being blue.
  6. I hate it when people announce that they need to go to the washroom, but they don't just say they need to go, they say what they're going to do in there. I also hate it when I bump into something. I feel like an idiot when I do it, even if I'm alone and it makes me angrier than it should.
  7. Lately I've been looking to take up a hobby, other than gaming. Besides making music, I've also thought about sewing and making plushies. I would eventually like to create some high quality, show-accurate plushies. The thing is, I don't really have any previous knowledge of this type of thing, and I don't really know what all the fancy terms mean. I guess we all have to start somewhere though. I'm just wondering what the correct first step would be, where should I go to learn the craft? Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
  8. I've been messing around with the game for a little while now. I got it for PS3 the day it came out, and have really just been playing single player until I beat the game. I've created a pretty good looking Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy character, if I do say so myself.
  9. I can't really pick favorites, but five of the ones I like in no particular order are: iBringDaLulz MicTheMicrophone TheLivingTomstone Sim Gretina MandoPony
  10. Nah, of course not. I think most people in today's world would view it as being more acceptable than what we all watch now. But who even cares about being accepted by the world? It isn't a great honor, in fact if I was accepted by the world I feel like I'd be doing something wrong. I'm me, and you're you. As long as people can accept themselves, that's all that matters anymore.
  11. I'm getting really hyped up for this one. I play on PS3, so I'll be getting it soon enough. Pretty sure the last time I was this excited about a map pack was back on Black Ops 1 when Rezurrection came out. I'm liking the new weapons, especially that Death Machine, and I'm glad the LSAT has made a return from Nuketown. The new wonder weapon looks to be the first wonder weapon in this game to come close to being as good as the Wunderwaffe and Thundergun, though the Sliquifier was a step in the right direction. The new characters look and sound great, and I can tell that Weasel is going to be that one character I'll always hope to be.
  12. I honestly think I could live without meat. In my opinion, it doesn't really taste all that great. There's also the fact that I hate having to pick through a piece of meat when I'm hungry just so I don't get a bone caught in my esophagus. I might go meatless once I'm old enough to get out of the house and live on my own. I swear though, if someone tries to take my pasta, they better expect to lose an eye.
  13. The only thing that I can really think of at the moment, is when I get a new game, or movie, or something else that comes in a plastic case like that, I'll usually smell the manual, or papers inside, or even the whole case. There's something about the scent of that plastic that smells really good. It's probably my favourite smell. I'm probably not the only one who does this though.
  14. I have the Tombstone remix of Gypsy Bard on my iPod. Now I just have to start actually watching Friendship is Witchcraft. It's actually a song that cheers me up when I hear it, but that could be because I may not know the full back story.
  15. Anyone remember those Fruit Gushers commercials, where the kids would eat the snack, and their heads would turn into a giant strawberry or watermelon? I wouldn't eat those until one day I came to a realization that my head wouldn't turn into a fruit if I ate them. That's back when I was really little though. Another thing that scared me as a child was the Mona Lisa. Not 100% sure why, but it just disturbed me.
  16. Definitely Fluttershy. Out of every character in the show, Fluttershy is the one I feel I connect to he most, at least when I'm in public, or in large groups. I'm a real Pinkie around my friends though, so she'd be my second choice, though I feel like she'd be quite a handful to try and keep hidden, considering her being so hyper(Unless the ponies start out as a blank slate). Fluttershy is the most adorable pony in my opinion, and I feel like she could cheer me up on a bad day(Which isn't too uncommon in this world we live in).
  17. Oh god, I know. The eBay plushies are priced about right in my opinion, and is totally worth it if you really want one that badly. I know I'm probably going to get my own little Fluttershy off eBay once I've got the money, and am old enough to move out of the house, as I'm not sure how my mom would look at me if I spent $100+ on a plushie. But I would never buy the Hasbro ones, since the mane and tail are definitely the worst part of the whole thing. If they would just use the same material that they used on the body, on the mane and tail, that would be a big improvement since it would actually look like the character. That weird "spaghetti hair" looking stuff just kills it.
  18. Not sure about Rainbow Dash, but I've seen some good looking handmade plushies of Fluttershy on eBay. The really good ones go anywhere from $100 to $300. Not sure if you'd be willing to pay that much for a plushie, or whether you would even want to use eBay though. Again, these are prices I've seen for Fluttershy, it might be worth a browse to see what you can find though.
  19. Oh, then definitely. Me and my other friend do that sometimes on multiplayer, except we do it with Adventure Time, since he's not a brony. I'll set mine as Finn and he'll be Jake, and we'll get our AT emblems out. But yeah, we can definitely do that.
  20. Never really wanted to join/form a clan on CoD. I just play for fun. We'll see what happens though. I am up to playing with you though, and am pretty dang hyped to. I'm assuming Chappersman1997 is your main account since you put it first, so I'll just add that one for now. See you online sometime.
  21. Two of my favorite moments have been posted already, being the scene where Patrick says "Genie" and the "Firmly Grasp It" scene. I don't believe this one has been posted yet though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bIzv7qtzT0
  22. Ever since I saw YouTube videos of the Team Fortress 2 classes being ponified, such as the Pinkie Pyro, or the Flutter Medic, and so on, I started thinking about other games and doing the same thing with those characters, recently I've been thinking about the zombies story line from Call of Duty: World at War, Black Ops 1, and Black Ops 2. There's something about the zombies story line I love so much, unlike the campaign, which I find rather dull to play through. It might be the characters, and their quotes that make them so enjoyable to listen to, or it might be the fact that there's a lot of mystery in the story that isn't too apparent in the game, and you kind of need to make your own theories. For the past few days I've been making a list in my head of which ponies closely fit which of the characters/survivors. Like the TF2 classes the list was made paying no attention to gender. Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt(WaW): Marine #1: Lyra Heartstrings Marine #2: Bon Bon Marine #3: Carrot Top Marine #4: Berry Punch I chose background ponies for the marines on Nacht der Untoten because the marines are nameless and I don't think they have voices(I started playing zombies in Black Ops 1, just going off the wiki here.) Any background pony would work for these characters, these are just the ones I chose. Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, Der Riese, Kino Der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-La, Moon(BO1): Edward Richtofen: Discord Tank Dempsey: Rainbow Dash Nikolai Belinski: Pinkie Pie Takeo Masaki: Fluttershy I see Discord being a lot like Richtofen, as they both want control over the world; Discord with his chaos magic, and Richtofen with his current control over the zombies. Dash is like Dempsey because they're both aggressive and somewhat egotistical. Pinkie is like Nikolai because they're both considered, by me, the comedy relief of both the Mane 6, and the Survivors respectively. Fluttershy is like Takeo because they're both usually the quietest and least obnoxius of the group. Five(BO1): John F. Kennedy: Mayor Mare Robert McNamara: Undecided Fidel Castro: Undecided Richard Nixon: Undecided Mayor Mare is JFK because she's the only pony in politics that I can think of. Call Of The Dead(BO1): Sarah Michelle Gellar: Rarity Danny Trejo: Undecided Robert Englund: Undecided Michael Rooker: Undecided Sarah Michelle Gellar is probably the most lady-like survivor yet, making Rarity a good match. Green Run, Die Rise(BO2): Samuel Stuhlinger: Undecided Marlton Johnson: Twilight Sparkle Abigail "Misty" Briarton: Applejack Russman: Granny Smith Twilight is like Marlton because they're both smart. Applejack is like Misty because of Misty's country-style outfit, and the fact that Misty's voice sounds like a combination of Rainbow and Applejack, anyone else notice this? Granny Smith is like Russman because they're both elderly. Other Characters: Dr. Ludvig Maxis: Princess Celestia Samantha Maxis: Princess Luna Celestia is like Maxis because of the fact, Maxis guides the survivors in Green Run and Die Rise, much like how Celestia will summon the Mane 6 to save the world against evils such as Discord(Part of the reason why he's Richtofen), and King Sombra. Luna is like Samantha because she's the closest relative to Celestia, much like Sam is the closest known relative to Dr. Maxis. I hope my fellow zombie fans found this interesting to read. I apologize if it's a little confusing and a little bit long, but I feel like with more thought from other minds, the two series are more comparable than you might think in terms of characters, again, just like the classes from TF2. Any suggestions for character comparisons would be great, even if it's a zombie character that I've already compared with a pony character. It'd be kind of cool to start seeing art of this popping up on the subject, such as ponies dressed up as the survivors. I'm no good at drawing, but I've been thinking of trying to draw Fluttershy, in Takeo's uniform, holding the Arisaka. I'm actually a little surprised as to how little art I've found on the internet on this subject, proving it's something people haven't really thought of. Only things I managed to find was an OC that looked like Dempsey, and someone who turned what looked to be a G3 pony toy into a Richtofen pony.
  23. Todays commercials are just terrible compared to the commercials you would see back when I was really young. I'm 16, and sometimes I'll go on YouTube and search for some really old commercials that came before my time, unfortunately. I'm talking about the ones where the picture is a little fuzzy, and there's that constant buzzing in the background. Toy and food commercials were the best. I wish companies would just stop trying with commercials these days, since they obviously know how everyone who watches TV hates commercials. But that's not going to happen anytime soon.
  24. This makes me think back to someone that I saw walking in the halls last year in school. He was wearing one of those shirts that said "Brony" on it, with a FiM-style pony on it. I was really tempted to go up and talk to him, but this was when I was waiting for my next class, and he was on his way to his, and the halls were really crowded, so he was gone in no time. I've thought about trying to find him around the school again when the halls are a little less high-traffic, but I don't know, that'd be kind of awkward I feel, considering I'm a bit of a Fluttershy when it comes to talking to people and starting conversations. I still think back to that shirt he was wearing and how brave he was to be wearing it, since this is a high school, where people will judge you for liking something they don't unless you look intimidating enough, and he was kinda small for his age.
