Pony board-games

So, I understand why Hasbro does many of the things it does. I've been around for awhile, and know the ins and outs of stuff. More than I should, for sanity's sake it seems.

 

But something does baffle me slightly, though it probably shouldn't. Hasbro owns Milton Bradley, Parker Brothers, Avalon Hill, and Wizards of the Coast. Why hasn't one of the subs put out MLP-branded board games yet? It's an obvious synergy.

 

Yes, I'm aware that there's a My Little Pony Monopoly set coming out, but that's taken far too long to get pushed through, given that they licensed USAopoly to put out customizable Monopoly sets they can turn around in a couple of months.

 

What I'm thinking is something that could utilize the blind-bag figures, to encourage cross-purchasing. Maybe a tile-based game where the players explore Equestria, and gain 'points' by befriending other ponies. Something for 3-6 players, with expansion sets to allow additional players (more friends!).

 

Bonus if I can figure out a way for the game to be co-operative between the players rather than directly competitive. I know there are a couple of games do this successfully, and it would reflect the show better.

There is a Monopoly game coming out, as well as a Memory game.

 

I am not sure how many franchises have their own games. Even The Simpsons only has games that are Simpsons versions of other popular games. My guess is that they are going into that realm very slowly. Board games aren't as popular as video games, after all, and they don't want to pour money into something they are not sure will make a profit.

 

Of course, we have yet to see a G4 MLP video game either...
