The most people born in the 90's have probably seen the TV Show DuckTales and maybe played the video game.

Now a remastered verision of the game going to get released by WayForward and Disney.

The game will launch Summer of 2013 for $14.99 on the PlayStation Store, 1200 MSP for the Xbox Marketplace and $15 on the Nintendo Wii U eShop.

It's sad it won't come out for PC though.

Anyways, are you interested?

Hello!

Hah, it's really interesting that it's making a come back, though i am not interested to much... "Mario" type games were never to my tastes, and from the given screenshots, it looks just like that :P Though, i am sure there will be plenty of people who are going to be excited for this. Especially the earlier fans :P

//Now has the theme song stuck in head forever//

But yeah, this is a very exciting announcement! I don't think anyone anticipated this! I mean, wow! My inner Nintendo-fan feels like this would have been perfect as a Nintendo WiiU exclusive, it would have certainly been the killer app the WiiU store needs. Plus, Ducktales was on NES, only fitting for it to return on a Nintendo console. But hey, nothing wrong with it being Multi-platform though! Odd it's not available for the PC, maybe later? I'm certain this game will sell well enough to warrant it.

Overall though, very hyped for this game! Proudly optimistic!

HELL YES!!!!

I definitely want to play this. I love the NES version, it'll be nice if they remaster it.

As long as they don't completely butcher the music, I'm definitely getting this.

I remember the NES version quite well. to see this, getting a remake is quite nice...if it has Trophy support for the PS3, I may look into picking it up for myself.

  • 2 weeks later...

I LOVE Ducktales. Scrouge McDuck is/ and has been always one of my favourite characters ever. Hands down, Ducktales in it's entireness is amazing. I fangasm over it.

I was all: " Odgfhdthjetjetjetjetjtrjfgjdetj" when I first saw this. Sung a long to the song and everything. :'DDDDD

But...I can't afford a lot of stuffs. :/ So..I probably can't get it.. I also don't have the WiiU, Ps3, or Xbox360... So I speak with the same tone of Darrin Roawn up there if they don't mind. I hope it's WiiWare released. Then I have a small, but better chance of getting it.

I'm not sure if the Wii could support it, though. I gots an old one, too..

PS3 would probably be the safer bet. for starters a simple 160GB system, (stand alone with hook ups and controllers) is around $198(?)

360 4GB system is $199, but you'd have to buy an external hard drive to store the extra games and such...and that'll cost another $100 roughly...though I heard, you can use USB flash drives as a subsitute.

WiiU, is around $249, the standard system has 8GB of space, whereas the deluxe version has 32GB, and that's an additional $50 for the upgrade...so it's not too bad really.

But the end result, is entirely up to you. :) Though second hands are cheaper, you may feel better saving up for a brand new system itself. The game itself, will probably cost around $10-$15, so it won't be too expensive.
