A curious thought about Stallions. :o

Being muscular means you know your destiny? Odd reasoning. We know pretty much nothing about Blueblood, and we haven't seen shining at a young age. At the youngest we saw him, he looked to be much older than say, the CMC, who are late for earning theirs. It's already been stated mac was the last in his class to earn his, so this theory doesn't seem to hold up.

Definitely not true. Cheerilee (the teacher, source of all knowledge and wisdom, who is obviously never ever incorrect about anything) says, "...like all ponies, I was not born with a cutie mark..." in the episode designed (as lampshaded by Diamond Tiara, bless her heart) to give exposition about cutie marks. So, no, buff or not, stallions are not born with cutey marks... what is the correct spelling, in any case?

I think this may be appropriate for the thread here, in relations to Cutie Marks. Also, I have entertained the thought of earning part of a Cutie mark at a time, and I love the concept, though I don't think it makes very good concept for the already established characters. Hope you like Digibrony!

Well, you've never seen him any younger than a full grown pony, so you can't really believe that as fact, can you?  Twilight is his MUCH younger sister, so we only see him at the age the Mane Six currently are, and the fully adult age his is now.

Sweetheart he is not that much older than the girls. Id say MAYBE 2-3 years. And yes I have seen him as a foal younger than the cmc.

 

There is concept art of Shining Armor as a young colt. I think he is going to be in many further episodes in season 4, and that he should show up as a foal in a few as well.

 

It would not make sense for a foal this size stallion or otherwise to earn a cutie mark for being a knight unless something happened that he protected Twilight Sparkle in some way when they were young, though I'm pretty sure at this point in time Twilie would've just been a newborn foal.

You know, it's entirely possible that he just got his when he was rather young...
