           Welcome to the fabulous Las Pegasus!

 

 

You've been called to the fabulous Las Pegasus. You got a note in the mail, with a complimentary, all expenses-paid vacation to the luxurious Bellagio Hotel. The note said that you had been singled out, and invited to this place at the whim of a reclusive billionaire, who's heard of you and wanted to meet you.

 

That doesn't sound too bad, right?

 

Except it turns out that the Bellagio - as beautiful and rich as it may be - is completely empty. There's just the six of you. Six ponies, trapped with a billionaire who's not known for being completely sane, in a gigantic hotel. And the featherbeds and expensive food can't hide the fact that you are now imprisoned in here.

 

Master Artix, the billionaire who invited you here, has a job for you to do. His wife was murdered, and he wants you to find the murderer.

 

And he's not going to let you go until you do.

  • No Godmodding: That means controlling other people's characters, making them do things, or answering for them. It also means making your OC do highly attention-getting things to make sure the center of attention is always on them.
  • Good Grammer and Spelling Is A Must: I understand that English may not be everyone's native language, and we'll try to be accomadating of that, but there is no excuse for having poor spelling/grammar. Every player must submit a paragraph or more of their roleplaying, fanfiction, etc., so this rule can be ensured.
  • No Mary Sues, Gary Stus: That means having a perfect character. I'm usually a pretty good judge of these, so I'll be keeping a sharp eye on your profiles. If there's something wrong with the profile, I'll let you know right away.
  • I Am Boss: I'm the TM here (ThreadMaster), which means you will have to follow the storyline I set forth. I hold the reins here, and I'll try to make sure the story is easy to play with. You have some certain freedoms; I'm pretty much here to keep order.
  • Post Formatting Is Allowed: But make sure everything's readable. No flashing images, neon colors, etc. Try not to hide behind pretty posts and make sure your writing's good, too.
  • OOC In OOC: I can't stress this enough - if you have an OOC comment, make sure you stick it in the OOC board! Try to keep the roleplaying posts in the actual RP thread.
  • Ponies Are A Must: There are no humans in Equestria! Your character may be a pegasus, unicorn, or earth pony. No Alicorns Are Allowed
  • Post At LEAST Once A Day: That is a minimum, not a requirement!

I'm glad you want to join! Your profile could use a bit of work, but I don't object to him being famous, since Master Artix needs to know these ponies somehow. However, I will require a paragraph or so of your roleplaying, or even a fanfiction, so I can get a gist of your writing style/grammar competence.

 

Edit: Sorry I missed your post, @Celibi (Thunder Knight). I do have a couple of points though. One, your character doesn't seem quite right for this roleplay. It's a mystery roleplay, and having a physic may take some of the fun out of it, since the whole plan is that you don't know what everypony's thinking. Two, she's more powerful physically than Celestia? That doesn't seem quite right. True, you do give her some legitimate drawbacks, but if you really insist upon using this character, I will insist that you moniter her carefully to make sure she doesn't steal the show. I hope to give everyone a chance to have their characters be the center of attention for a bit.

 

So you could either keep a very close eye on her (and I will too, to make sure she doesn't get too far away from you), or you could make up a new character. Or modify her somehow. And I will also need a paragraph or so of a fanfic, or roleplaying, or something so I can make sure your grammar and spelling is okay.

Flame groaned as the sun peeked through the curtains in his trailer. He didn't get the best of sleep last night so he was in his usual morning grumpy mood.

He sat up and yawned tiredly before reluctantly climbing out of bed.

He made his way into the tiny kitchen of his trailer. He opened the fridge and after staring at the food for a few moments he pulled out some juice.

After pouring himself a glass and putting the juice back in the fridge he pushed open the door of his trailer and looked around. As usual...he was the first awake.

He rolled his eyes and was about to walk back inside when he noticed a letter on his doorstep.

He frowned. "But I never get letters." He muttered, slowly reaching down and picking it up before walking back into his trailer, closing the door behind himself.

He sat down on the couch, placed his juice on the coffee table, opened the letter...and began to read.

That's good! I'll add your to the roleplay. And so long as the pony isn't a total recluse, Master Artix ought to be able to find him. And if he's sort of famous, that makes it even easier.

Awesome.

And he is known in the circus world...but for people who don't follow the circus than he isn't really that known...If Artix is super rich and is trying to find different kinds of ponies, Flame wouldn't be that difficult to find.

He's kinda like Viktor Kee (Who is a famous juggler in the circus)

'Goldseek had heard the rumors. And he definitely didn't doubt them. That forest was evil, and he knew it. He was there once. He was just a colt. He had killed a pony in there. His first murder. He had always hated that memory. When he was betrayed by who he thought to be a friend. And now, somepony runs out of the forest, wounded and bleeding. The creatures in there were finally moving. Planning to take Equestria, undoubtedly. He packed up his things. It was time to take action.'

 

Of course, in this RP, Goldseek will be excited to be going to the hotel, not angry at a forest, but yea.

Upon hearing Avarice, she let out a gasp. "Avarice? You mean that dragon pony from legend?" She opened her lexicon- a book in a steel cover- and read it. "But... I thought that the painting was in Canterlot! Not in Trottingham!" She began pacing... and thinking. What a powerful monster! But... however... isn't this what I was after? A little adventure...?

 

She looked up. "Great! Inspiration for my new book! Are we chasing her?"

Max waited eagerly for the train to Las Pegasus to arrive. He has never been to the city before, as he could never afford it, but when he got a letter saying he won an all expense paid trip he packed his things and rushed over to the train station.

"This is so exciting!" He thought aloud

"I rarely get to take trips outside Ponyville." He could hardly contain his excitement. Finally the train arrives. Max makes his way onto the train, taking his seat and eagerly awaiting his arrival into Las Pegasus.

No, go ahead, write your characters reading the note/boarding the train, etc. As a matter of fact, you can even skip the whole note and train ride and write about getting off the train.

 

Edit: And seeing as it's quite late here, I'm going to try and put my excitement on ice until tomorrow. ^^
