Anyone else getting super excited about Zelda Wii U next year? I really just want them to at least release its title. But alas.

It was the "open world" Zelda they announced at E3, don't believe it has a title yet.

Oh, that explains why I didn't hear about it, I don't keep track of things that happen at events like E3 very well.

 

Well, now that I've heard news about a new Zelda, I'm very excited and would be even more excited if I owned a Wii U.

I kinda wish I got into the Zelda franchise more. I find it kinda concerning I never even heard of Zelda until Twilight Princess; and I've been gaming since the NES days. XD

I'd ask you how it's like living under a rock in the gaming world, but that would be incredibly rude so instead I'm going to say it's never too late to go back and play them since they're either cheap or easily emulated.

Haha, no worries. Honestly, a good friend of mine (my former girlfriend) usually comments and is regularly amazed at how I miss things like this, so 'under the rock' comments are harmless and appropriate for me. XD

 

I need to play them when I get the chance. Problem is I'm going through a bit of a gaming rut right now, so yeah.

I clicked Wind Waker, but remembered fighting Vaati in Minish Cap, Then I remembered the heart break of beating Link's Awakening, and it went on with this for every game. Twilight Princess, great characters and music, Spirit Tracks... CHOO CHOO MOTHA F****ER!!! The first Zelda game, old but gold. I just gave in and clicked them all.

The original Legend of Zelda is super confusing, but play with a guide and it's a super cool game, a true retro legend.

Zelda 2 is a way-too-hard piece of garbage tho. Don'mt enjoy it one bit.

A Link to the Past is also amazing, anyone who's played it KNOWS.

Link's Awakening is also good but sometimes overrated. I have not beaten it tho.

Ocarina of Time helped revolutionize and kickstart 3D gaming. Respect must be payed to it.

Majora's Mask is damn good too. Good luck not playing it in long sittings tho.

I have not played Oracle of Ages at all yet and will play through Oracle of Seasons some time after I finish Link's Awakening.

Wind Waker is THE MOST GORGEOUS GAME OF ALL TIME and I don't care what anyone else says. Could've use more dungeons tho, but what's there is surely some of the best of Zelda gameplay.

Four Swords Adventures was different in a cool way unlike Zelda 2, never beat it tho and I hope to play it again sometime.

Minish Cap I really want to play someday.

Twilight Princess is the best cinematically of the Zelda games, along with some great yet easy dungeon gameplay. Has some real dragging and padding parts tho. I've played TP the most, 3 times baby! Best story fo sho.

Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks I have both played but never finished. I like them but don't love them.

Skyward Sword is amazing and does way more right than people give it credit for.

A Link Between Worlds does everything right and people do give it credit for it!

Can't wait for Zelda U, and Hyrule Warriors looks like some goofy fun I guess, super hype.

Link's Awakening is overrated but Link to the Past isn't? Excuse me, beat my 3rd favorite title before talking about it. It has a ending that is more tragic than any zelda game. Seriously if you don't know how it ends play it to the end! Link to the Past was good just because it returned to the classics (that is great with out a guide book I might ad) after a "piece of garbage"... *puts face in hands* *angry screams of a fan boy* Zelda 2 isn't garbage it is just difficult!

 

Sorry I'm just... I worship this series and love them all.

 

There was so much in that post that I could have gone off on, but honestly I reserved it for the two that set off my fanboy alarms the worst.

Hey you should put the Master Quest and the 4 Swords Anniversary on the list! Oh and Can't forget Link's Crossbow Training!

So I just beat Zelda II for the first time this past weekend.  Ehh.  I've warmed up to it slightly but I don't care for it much.  Also, Zelda II with a guide (the game's basically impossible without some sort of outside help so I had little qualms with using a walkthrough) I found to be surprisingly easier than the first Zelda.  Even Death Mountain didn't pose that much of a problem.  The Valley of Death, the pathway to the final palace, on the other hand was a huge pain.

 

But with that, I have now beat every Zelda game to date.  Oracle of Ages and Seasons have been my favourites for a long time now.  Wind Waker has the best soundtrack in my opinion.

I'm not really exited with Zelda WIIU, I've been keeping my expectations low with non handheld Nintendo consoles after the BIG disappointment in their WII, besides, not like I'm gonna buy a WIIU anytime soon, if ever as a result. My favorite is Majora's, I could spend a while writing about it

I've played every Zelda game, but I haven't beaten every single one. I won't say anything bad about a zelda game till I beat it. But at that point I don't have anything bad to say.

Oh where do I begin with Zelda? 

 

Well I guess my introduction would have been when my mom bought herself the Zelda Collectors edition on the Gamecube to relive her childhood. You know the one with Zelda, Zelda II, OOC, Major's Mask, and a demo for Windwaker. Well that was my first introduction to the series.

 

My favorite game would have to be Twilight Princess. Mainly because Midna is the best character ever in Zelda

Well my first Zelda was Spirit Tracks. I find Spirit Tracks to be massively underrated... I wonder why? The gameplay was nice, the soundtrack was amazing, and the plot was pretty good. I don't see why people don't like it...

So yeah. This is a pretty good game series. It's alright. Well, more than that. We all know how amazing it is! However, I have only beaten a few different Zelda games which is surprising. I love the games and have played a lot of them but I have only managed to beat a few. Ocarina of Time was the first one I beat and wow, even to this day it triumphs over so many games in its genre. Just the fact an N64 game was able to give me such a feeling of wonder and adventure is incredible for its time. Majora's Mask did the same thing but in a darker, grittier. I actually really enjoyed that one too. It just has this unique charm to it from the other's. I have also been playing Link's Awakening recently which is actually a pretty awesome game itself. It surprises me that it was the first handheld Zelda. I need to play Wind Waker more though, I have barely touched that one and I love it's art style.

 

This is just one of the many series that defines my childhood. :3

I think the game that has the most atmospheric music over all is Minish Cap. Also Vaati is my favorite Zelda villain/boss fight.

Gotta be the Goddess' Song from SS. For one thing, it's all emotional for me because the story line of SS was so in-depth and gripping. And for another thing, I just think it was pure genius to make a song out of Zelda's Lullaby played backwards.
