Hasbro to shift focus to the brony fandom

In a recent interview with top Hasbro executives on the outsdie-the-demographic fans of the hit TV series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Known as “Brownys”), they have said they acknowledge the presence of the Brownys and intend to start specifically marketing toward them in the near future. The press release is as follows:

 

"We have noticed an increased trend of adult males and in rare cases females watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. While some merchandise has been released for them, we believe a full-swing redirection of the target demographic of our franchise is in order. We have acknowledged that many of these adult fans are also fans of “Anime”, or Japanese animation, so we have decided to incorporate elements from this “Anime” into the My Little Pony franchise. Our top pop culture researchers have told us that “Anime” has many dominant trends that can be incorporated into the My Little Pony franchise, such as “Panchira”, or camera angles that emphasize the undergarments of the characters, as well as “Fan service”, or scenes and scenarios emphasizing the sexual attractiveness of the characters.

 

We have also acknowledged that many of these adult fans of the My Little Pony franchise write and read these pieces of literature called “fan fiction”, which are stories depicting characters of the My Little Pony franchise, frequently engaging in acts of mutilation, self-inflicted or otherwise, as well as strong sexual themes and abuse of narcotics. We will take this information into consideration when we unveil the new and reworked version of My Little Pony this winter, which will be rebranded as “My Little Pony: Eroticism and Gore Kawaii slaying” from the date of release and onward."
