Coming home would be an even greater joy. Me and Flluttershy will be best friends forever. And if the other Mane 6 ponies come to take her away, it shall be a heartfelt goodbye. I think you're over thinking it a little bit, because it doesn't look that awkward from the outside looking in. Although sharing something like that story in real life, not going to happen. I could foresee multiple breakdowns from yours truly.

So I decided to just let go of whatever preconceived notions of her being a tough pony who liked to get on others nerves. I made her weak unfortunately. Emotionally dependent on other ponies. Whose spirit could be entirely crushed with a single insult.

You want a boost in character development, get a well timed breakdown. You can roleplay a breakdown, but you have to spend a long time on one to convey it correctly.

Still, a botched breakdown can go from a heartcrunching feel into a whiny little sissy fight if done incorrectly. I had a bad experience with that one :c
