So I just realized something about the lyrics of the Cupcakes song, in that it requires the episode it’s in, “Call of the Cutie” to be set after “Applebuck Season.” A lot of season one can be put into any order without it really affecting other events, but not in this case. Why?

 

The lyrics, specifically this one: “Now just take a little something sweet, not sour!”

 

The lyric is referring to Applejack messing up with the “baked bads” by adding a cup of “sour,” or lemons. Pinkie is telling Apple Bloom not to make the same mistake her sister did.
