Alright, next question. Vehicle of choice for a road trip. Puny compact, SUV, moving van, convertible, RV, or a roadtrain (literally a roadtrain; I mean, it has the choochoo wheels found on a steam locomotive) that's 13000 pixels long in Inkscape?

Trust me, the vehicle I drew is HUGE... Just imagine a train with two cars, but modified to drive on asphalt roads, but it can still drive on railroad tracks.

It's just the roadtrain by itself at the moment. I didn't add any fine details, like, uhh, windows or doors. Or a smokestack. Or a satellite dish.

 

For a sense of scale, a pony's length is about 300 pixels, excluding tail.

Hmm... Contemplate:

 - Driving it down the street and see what happens.

- Driving it at 50MPH and see if drunk drivers ram into the choochoo arms and get shredded.

- Drive it on the railroad tracks, and then run over money with it.

- Drive it off a cliff and see if it can fly.

- Drive it across Equestria and see the world that way.

- Connect it to a train to save on fuel.

 

I had a storyline that involved this, but I just want the random factor.

Roadtrain Backstory

 

The advent of asphalt roads led to some train manufacturers to believe that they would be a boon. A group of manufacturers got together and developed a road version of a train; fewer cars than a standard train but with more manuverability than railroad tracks.

 

They would be multipurpose, shuttling intercity cargo and even passengers.

 

The creation of smaller engines, and in turn, smaller motor vehicles, made the Roadtrain unnecessary.

 

Also based off of something that I built out of Legos a long time ago, but instead of two cars being towed along, it was two flatbed trailers.
