The one main thing I cannot stand in music is Country music. Fuck that noise.

 

 

The only exception is when its upbeat and not about being fucking sad about your damned dog and that damned lady to who left you for some damned reason. Then its actually ok.

Otherwise, I'm pretty open to it and generally while I may dislike it at first, if you play it enough around me, I should grow to like it at least a little. It never fails for this to happen.

Here's my thoughts on kinds of music that certain people say they hate: what makes them, partly, the way they are is the lyrics, and since music is, in a way, a whole different language by itself, lyrics are redundant.

 

Then again, country is one-third the reason rock and roll even existed in the first place.

 

I don't care about the lyrics unless the story is that good, which is why I hate a lot of songs that are even sung in English. I needn't understand what's being conveyed in a song that's, for example, Armenian.

I grew up on Rap, so I'm also mostly burnt out on it. I can stand it for a bit and generally still enjoy some of the older stuff I grew up with and what's in my Itunes, but the newer stuff usually just pisses me off and I only enjoy it from time to time when I want to just pay the bass lines some attention.

 

 

 

And of the ones I do generally like, it'd be
