Really? I knew Iceland was a beautiful place, but I thought it would be a little more... volcanic.

Depressing? Why's that? When I see ruins such as that, I always feel the urge to explore them...

It is sad because it used to be something glorious, something magnificent, but has now fallen to ruin and  misuse .

A very interesting response. Personally, I find the ruins exciting, as they bring out my desire to explore and experience new things.

Well, it looked like an abandoned laboratory, and I love laboratories, so it was a horrific picture to me. Anything else turned into a ruin, and I'd probably find it exciting as well!
