I have somehow found myself in this place again...

How odd.

Run before it sucks you back in. D:

thank you

I've made it a point to come back here every so often

I honestly don't know why

I need to let go of the past

The true curse of this place. Try as we might to escape, there is no hope.

be that as it may, the atmosphere here doesn't appeal to me much anymore

I only really visit due to a crushing nostalgia centered on a past internet life that demands I return this forum every so often to breathe in the stale air

it's rank and stifling, but it takes me back to the past—in truth I doubt it ever won't do just that despite how different things have gotten here and how much more they are invariably going to change in the future

...I sound so goddamn cheesy right now wtf

I blame the alcohol

Cheese or naw, you're not far from the cause.

We're donezo.

Also, share that alcohol, please. ;~;

Guess how old this quote is.

100 years is close enough.

Close enough to what?

GANARAM! I'm under attack! I need your help!

My options would go something like this:

- Blast-proof blocks

- Tesla coils

- Spikes

- Train at high speed

- Lava or equivalently hot or deadly fluid or liquid

- Poison

- Cactus

Those are some really great options! :yay: Thank you for your advice! But uh... I already lost.  :rarity:

I see... Also, what would you do if you were under attack by the enemies I showed earlier?

Not unless I had all my super awesome Robot powers.

Speaking of robots, all the undead were killed by hostile robots. Hopefully they won't blast down my shelter...

This depends on what version of the story of the Internet you'll hear, but the version I'm referencing has to do with how resilient a communications system can be. I don't know what mods you have installed, but I posted this comment on EthoSlab not too long ago regarding accessing storage and autocrafting theoretically anywhere in the world but having the infrastructure in a completely different dimension.

What if you implemented all ME equipment in an entirely separate dimension (first one that comes to mind is The Last Millennium from Extra Utilities) and accessed everything remotely via the quantum links? The interface terminals already access all crafting patterns inside any interfaces so the only thing left is a means of accessing the actual storage drives remotely: something called a Super Soaryn Drive, a second ME network that access every single ME drive's storage cells using storage buses, so that if you need to access a cell, you access only the second terminal. The only issue is expanding existing infrastructure and chunk loading but everything else should be remotely accessible.

That's a very interesting idea... I'd rather have the infrastructure/ME network in a spacial storage cell dimension though. That way it's almost completely secure, especially if you keep the storage cell in the actual dimension.

A quantum link isn't easy to maintain though. If I remmber correctly they are real power hogs.

I understand.

But you still failed.

I'd like to see you do better.  >_>

Somehow I don't think that'd be an issue since, with augments, I can get eight dynamos generating a combined total of up to 5120 RF/t. The other method is to used toast-based power and a bunch of 8x culinary generators. The power generated is something like 224 RF/t/generator but those use a bunch of iron each.

Using Ender IO to grind up wheat into flour and the Thermal Expansion augment that doubles food cooked in a furnace, that's at least two flour/wheat, two bread/flour, and two toast/bread, meaning 1 wheat can make a minimum of 8 toast.

Ok! Makes sense to me. But where should we store the main ME network? In a storage cell? The last millennium seems too risky to me. I don't trust that last villager not to take all my stuff.

Mystcraft Void age is a viable option. Pocket dimension sounds even more convoluted and awesome.

I think I'd prefer a mystcraft age, if only because there would be more room. But we're not out of the woods yet, Ganaram. We need to keep our quantum links in a loaded chunk for them to work, right? Any ideas?

Railcraft world anchor, but it requires an ender pearl for every 12 hours of real-time operation and only loads a 3×3 chunk area.

ChickenChunks, but it has world loading issues.

MFR has a chunk loader, but it uses up a lot of power.

Forge utilities has a chunkloading feature.
