amateur, i own all of Genesis' and Phil Collins' albums

even got to see them live in 2007...

well, pardon me for only just getting into music since early 2011, then. :v

i'd like to think that owning over 300+ physical records under the course of just a year is a pretty good staple of music, don'tcha think?

well son of a bitch...they can't have my money, paying to talk to you people, really!

And no cursing or pornography, and they want my money?

The donation is just to keep the site up and running...

I guess it still boils down to that, but meh.

how hard were they to come across? if you went to your local record store and dug into the dollar bin then, no that's not that hard

I prefer tapes, they're small, compact, strong, portable

@,

I was wondering about that too, guess I'll be drinking highly over-priced cider until we get another free change.

lol one full year. I plan on donating at least a little bit eventually. Yes, I like the place that much.

Speaking of cider, its time for me to get some for myself......and put up my Christmas tree....

thrift stores, so no, it's not that hard to come across, i guess. i mean, i DID get all these 300+ records just this summer and forth, after all.

i prefer everything that's good music. format doesn't really play any role in me liking them more or not. though i suppose vinyls are pretty nice to me.

my DVD driver won't work now. great. :C

ex-member of Genesis? that's cool to know. i happen to really like Genesis and particularly Phil Collins in his solo career (as mirrored by the 4 studio albums i now own of him, with the addition of '...But Seriously' today.

i haven't actually listened to a lot of blues, really. i own an album by a rather new blues group called Rusty Roots, called Electrified, but i haven't really listened to a lot of Blues in and off itself. i only have listened to a few r'n'b records, if that counts. feel free to fill me in on that front, as i'm sure i'll find another obsession to completely wreck my income.

Interesting...now you're the fourth Genesis fan I know, aside from P_M, my dad and one of my friends. Anyway, Steve Hackett has quite the big discography by himself........wel, actually, when you think about it, every member of Genesis their own career WHILE inside Genesis. I still don't know how they pulled that off.

And sure! If you want, I can show you some of my favorite songs from both of them, and maybe a bit more of Blues if you wish.

none of them made a solo album while in Genesis until 1981 (Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett now long gone, obviously Peter Gabriel was first in... 1976 I think)

I like the moniker enough that I might never change it anyways. The thing is I haven't had any cider in like 5 years, the gallons are up to $8 a piece where I'm at. PMV totally related, I love this band.

I'm not exactly sure how was the start of the solo career of each member, but even with some gone, maintaining a band while each member does their own career is something quite admirable, even when there were only three (I'm sad cause I can't pun the name of that album  )
