The differences in people's tastes are kinda hard to avoid. Not to mention that thread pretty much works with the "you my friend, I rate you high" basis. I don't think there is anything we can do about it...

First off, nerds don't normally listen to rock/metal.

Second, I'm not a damn nerd. If anything, I'm a geek. There is a difference. And I like just about everything, but Country.

Third, there's nothing wrong with any of those

genres. Why you hating?

Fourth, it's the Internet. Who do you think is gonna populate here? Jocks and athletes who listen to classical?

what sort of music do you like?

I like a decent sample of each genre

from latin america I like reggae, reggaeton, bachata, some salsa, I don't think I like merenge, I LOVE brazilian music, like samba, lambada, funky, I wish I had more knowledge of brazilian music, I can like some pop or ballads in spanish.

from America, I LOVE pop, I'm guilty of liking stupid songs with stupid lyrics but catchy melodies, I like these mix-ups between pop and electronic music, I love plenty of electronic music, I like rock too, ballads, music that I don't remember their genre.

heck I even liked some power metal.

I like videogames and movies soundtracks too.

from asia I like anime openings and endings, even if I don't watch anime at all, I love j-pop and k-pop. I even liked an item song from a Bollywood movie.

I like orchestral music, with epic tunes too. As you can see, I don't ask what is this, I just like it.
