Also, VGA? Yuck. (Nah, my video card doesn't accept analog connections, that's the issue.)

 

Also also, I had an interesting predicament regarding my sound system, and it entailed using a bundled RCA cable (the red-yellow-white cable) entirely for sound, with the video connection being used for my subwoofer.

 

It's a 5mm jack converted to RCA, but the red/white connectors are inputs and the yellow is an output.

The VGA issue is why I can't use my old Dell monitors with my new video card and is why I need to (eventually) obtain three new monitors that are compatible. Plus, I'd need a DisplayPort connection, anyway.

 

Interesting thing: my subwoofer connection is the same size as an RCA cable connector.
