I haven't spend much money on merch, but if "the time" is more valuable than the money... yes, it's trully expensive.

I can agree that it's expensive but if you enjoy it and have all real world expenses covered why not treat yourself?

 

As for myself I have spent roughly $650 so far on pony merch.

I've probably collected around $200 worth of toys total over the last three years. Averaging about $5.50 a month. I don't really care if they're collectable or if I can sell them to get my money back. It's just fun stuff.

it is quite expensive,mini heart is why I stopped collecting...... My collection right now probably cost me $300 over a 2 year period, mostly in funko figures.

Yeap, it's expensive and that's why I look in thrift stores for any salvageable pony merch. Sometimes, I land on some great finds and sometimes I don't. It can be quiet tedious trying to look for used merch and roughly a quarter of my collection consist of thrift finds so it's definitely worth it especially if it saves my wallet. I do collect some new merch too and that probably cost me around $300 alone mostly consisting of BaB ponies, Funko figures and some blind bags.
