After several months of staying single after she broke up with her stallion friend, Vinyl Blade decided it was time that she started dating again, so she trotted down to the local club for their monthly singles' night. The club was large, loud, and full of energy. She walked up to the bar and ordered herself a drink. This gave her a bit more time to survey the room for any good-looking stallions out tonight. It also took her out of the crowd so that maybe some stallion sees her and can walk up to her.

Equinox Sin the lonely stallion walked into the club with its loud music. "Maybe a drink could take my mind off of my life right now" Equinox said as he ordered a drink which gave him time to see if there's anypony he wanted to talk to. "Maybe he was right I should meet someone" Equinox said to himself remembering what his friend told him.

Honey Jars sat in her lonesome corner of the room with he non-alchaholic cider. She coukd never understand why she came to these places other than the fact that they have a comfotable feel to them, like you can bring your stress inside and it'll all just go away.

Almost as soon as Honey Jars noticed a pony was coming her way she tried to hide behind the cider in front of her, only to realise It wouldn't work.

"OH. Umm, h-hello there. Yes uhh, my n-name is H-honey Jars. I'm just sitting here, enjoying myself. Alone." She said clearly too nervous to talk boldly.

Melody walked around Canterlot having just finished their last concert tonight, she figured that she would check out a local club. Melody trotted up to a popular club. She could hear the music blasting, all be it a quite different sound from her bands music it was her style of music. Melody walked in hearing the bass thumping and could see all the stallions and mares mixing it up. Taking a seat at the bar she ordered a special house drink "The Spitfire" (lol see what I did there) Melody looked around there were plenty of cute, handsome stallions here and she was looking to find that special somepony. Ok Melody just play it cool...maybe one of them will come talk to you.

"I-I'm sorry for bothering you I think i'll just go now" Equinox said as he headed back to the bar. "Wow I seem like im just another weird pony" Equinox said to himself.

Honey Jars noticed him turn around and smacked herself in the face because of her blatant stupidity. "W-wait up! Y-you don't have to go. I'm just not good at talking to ponies, or anything..." She looked at the table in a slight depression and then took a sip of her drink.

Limestone 'Lime' Quarry briskly trotted down the street towards the rowdy nightclub. "I hate these kinds of places... I can already tell how crazy it is in there, and I can't even see it, just from how loud those obnoxious ponies are being! Why did my client have to ask to meet me in here of all places, and why did he tell me to get cleaned and dressed up? This isn't the place to hold a formal dinner meeting... Whatever, the customer is always right, and this agreement will net me more bits than I'll know what to do with!"

 

Approaching the door, Lime checked herself one last time in a store window next door. Although she didn't care about her looks usually, she had quickly learned that her appearance (when she bothered to clean up) helper her a LOT in bargaining for deals. Taking a breath, she opened the doors and walked tentatively into the club.

Max was on his way home from a long day helping at the alchemy lab. O  his way he saw a very brightly lit nightclub. The ground was slightly shaking to the thumping bass within.

"Why not?" Max said with a shrug. Upon entering he saw a dance floor that looked like a mosh pit at a Filliex concert, which it could be for all he knew. He headed over to the bar, and ordered what he always orders.

"One mug of non-alcoholic cider please/" Max half yelled to get heard over the dubsteb that filled the club. Max never drank, only getting intoxicated twice. Once for his graduation, and once for his pet dog getting killed in a freak thundercloud incident. He shuddered at the memory. Acquiringnhis drink, Max headed over to an empty booth that was closer to the dance floor than he would have preferred. Normally the rust red fedora and concierge jacket made him look sharp, but in a club, he looked out of place.

Sky was having a blast in the back. The was small crowd forming around him as he was taking down free shots from patrons like nobody's business. He used his trusty breathalyzer and it gave him a BAC of .08 which meant he was only slightly drunk. Well he decided since he already beat a few challengers (who couldn't hold their liquor as they were in the bathroom nauseating) he would dismiss the group and just hangout by himself at his table...alone. Loneliness...an emptiness that shakes him to his very core. Sky sighed to himself as he sipped a drink. That's why he came here in the first place...temporary relief. Though he thought to himself, "What am I doing with my life?! Who am I really?!"

Sky decided that he would try and meet someone tonight. He chugged down the rest of the drink and stood up and went to the center of the club where everyone was hanging out. He looked around to see if there was someone here he might like to meet. He sighed to himself....

Buttonstitch walked into the club, looking behind her. Starry Sky was shooing her inside with a hoof as she moved to take care of her weather duties. Buttonstitch sighed as she fully entered the club, a necklace of silver buttons around her neck. She had made it for the occasion, and was rather proud of it. She moved to the bar, smiling brightly at the bartender. "I'll have a fried hay sandwich with some cider, please!"  The tender nodded and moved to get her order, Button looking around.

Max went through three ciders, and by halfway through the third, he was feeling woozy, uneven. He felt as though the world was spinning and thumping to the bass.

"Whu.." Max slurred out. He looked and say that each was an alcoholic cider. 

"Son of a- I told them to not make t-the thing full of alcohol. I'm gonna give that guy a piece of *hiccup* piece of my mind." Max got up and began to stumble back over to the bar. He felt like was walking on a frozen lake during an earthquake. Taking a seat at the bar, he yells at the bartender.

"Hey, you big jerk. I said no alcohol. And now look *hiccup* look at whatcha done." The bartender ignored him, dismissing him as another angry drunk.

Max turned and saw a mare sitting next to him.

"Can you believe that guy? Gives me alcohol when I say n-no, then acts like he didn't do nothin'." Max calmed down when he got a good look at this mare.

"Hey, you know, you are a very...very pretty mare. And that necklace, oh Celestia, that necklace is-is awesome. It looks sooooo good on you." Max drunkenly gushed. Drubk as he was, Max wasn't lying in what he said. He may have been over exaggerating on the necklace, but he was honest, none the less.

Buttonstitch was starting to wonder why she bothered as her fried hay sandwich was delivered, a mug of cider being placed down not too long after. She had barely managed to take a bite and a sip before the drunken pony approached her, slurring and complimenting her. Button's brow furrowed as she took a couple steps back. "Thanks... um..." This. This situation right here was exactly why Button did not want to come to the bar tonight. Or any night. But Starry had insisted she go out and try to make more friends, so here she was. "I-if you're not feeling well, perhaps you should retire for the night..." She could at least be helpful, right? Drunk ponies were a danger to themselves, and others.

Even drunk, Max could see her backing away slowly. He would try to remedy the solution the best he could while intoxicated.

"Hey, I-I'm sorry if I seem scary to ya. I don't ever get drunk never." Max was slurring but he tried his hardest to make his speech at least understandable.

"But that buck behind the bar gave me the wrong drink. I wanted the cider t-to no be full of beer, but he did it anyway." He said, shooting a poisonous glance at the bartender.

"No but I meant what I was saying to ya earlier." Max tried to get up, only to trip over himself, hitting the ground hard. He wasn't helping his case.

"But I best not be hitting on you. You probably already have a sp*hiccup*special somepony." He said, struggling to get up.

"I don't, but right now, you might want to be more concerned with yourself." Using magic, she tore her fried hay sandwich in half, making sure to take the half she already bit into before passing the rest to him. "Here." She smiled some. "This might help you." It was often recommended someone eat when drinking, right? Thanks to her rough times as a filly, Button could handle her cider, but at the same time, she never drank much. She probably wouldn't even finish the mug she had.

"Thank you." He said, getting to his hooves and taking a bite out of the sandwich. He hadn't realized how hungry he was before then, and scarfed down the rest, but trying to do so in a calm manner. It makes as much sense as it sounds.

"I remember, to get...not drunk, you need to drink a thing. What was it...coffee! Coffee was it. That makes you good in no time." Max said enthusiastically. He was standing still but was swirling a bit.

Button nodded, looking to the tender. "Excuse me! One cup of coffee please." The bartender gave Button a look, but soon enough, produced a cup of coffee, along with some creamer, in case needed. Button pushed both over the the colt. "Here you go." She smiled, continuing to eat her own sandwich.

Max looked at the coffee, then up at the mare, then back at the coffee.

"Ya didn't need to go and spend your money on me like that. Hate for you to waste bits on me." Max said, taking a large sip from the coffee. It was extremely strong, but he didn't want to use creamer. He wanted to get sober fast so he chugged on.

"I will be sure to pay you back for the coffee and half the sandwich." Max was sounding a little more stable. He took another large gulp, cringing at the taste and strength.

"I don't believe we have been properly introduced." he extended a hoof.

"My name is Max." He said, finishing off the coffee with his free hoof. He slowly got a very bad headache. Max always hated hangovers.

The unicorn shook her head. "It's fine." She took his hoof in her own, giving it a shake. "I'm Buttonstitch. Pleased to meet you." She smiled again, "Ideally, I'd have my friends with me, but they both were otherwise occupied." She laughed softly, knowing she had a lion to finish making on her end, but she had been nudged here by both Starry and Ruby, to her amazement.

"Pleases to meet you. Though I wish I did so with all my senses." Max blushed slightly at the thought, though it was hard to concentrate with a migraine. Now that he was free from the grip of alcohol, He got a straight look at Buttonstitch. She was even better looking sober, which is unusual. Max was no expert, but he assumed that it usually was the other way around. He thought of what to say, but this was all that came out.

"I like your...eyes. Green, that's a very nice color. My favorite one actually." Max wanted to retrieve those words as soon as they came out.

"That doesn't make you sound creepy" He thought to himself, the voice in his head dripping with sarcasm. His mind raced for something else he could say to switch topics, but the hangover was making that difficult.

Sky wasn't in the best of moods at the moment. He was frustrated that he didn't meet anyone and he went to the bar to hangout out by his lonesome. He shivered as he though of his emptiness and ordered a single malt. He whisked it down instantly and felt better. Alcohol was the only thing he had to stave off his loneliness...

Honey took another sip of her cider. "Oh, Uh. I-I-I don't mind if you sit down. No. N-no I don't." She murmmered, blushing a bit as he sat down. She continued to sip her drink untill it had run dry. The unicorn blinked, then smiled. "Thanks. That's nice  to say. I really can't decide on a favorite color; I like them all." She laughed, tilting her head. "Well, except for murky brown... That color's a bit ugly." She nodded as she decided that, finishing off her half of the sandwich. "I had to make something that color for a client, once. Had to paint some buttons to do it, which was such a waste." She sighed sadly at the memory.
