private Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: The Path to Destiny

"So you say." Porygon said to Oddish. This Pokemon was unusually perky which was quite a rare sight nowadays, it was almost refreshing even if Oddish was a bit annoying. "Tell me, how exactly do you plan to accomplish such an illogical feat?" Porygon asked.

 

[OOC: If you haven't noticed Porygon likes the work "Illogical" a lot. I'll try to use it less.)

 

((Nah. Feel free to. It makes him sound more heartless, plus catch phrases. Just like I'm overusing Ohmigosh.))

 

Oddish quickly returned to her regular chipper self. "Oh! Well, we're going to get all the pokemon adventurers - like you - who wish to come to come, and we are going to rescue other pokemon together!" Oddish bounced up, remembering something. "And then those pokemon can join and help! And then tons of pokemon are here!" 

 

Absol had walked up from behind the Oddish, and towered over the two. "We will see if any of the pokemon who join specialize in anything that could help us." He added, in a slightly excited tone.

 

 Cyndaquil watched as Riolu left towards where Kecleon had pointed where Oddish may be at. 

 

 He turned back to face Kecleon, "Thanks..." Cyndaquil said as he started to walk off. He didn't bother to follow Riolu, he would get there when he got there. Plus, this was a new place to him, why not take in what "scenery" there was in Paradise.

 

 He had been focusing on the area around him when he heard some pokémon yelling. He looked and saw Riolu on the ground and an Eevee next to him holding his head.

 

 "*sigh* If he's part of the group...this will be interesting..." Cyndaquil said to himself as he made his way over the wreckage. "What's going on here?" He said to the group.

Oddish had heard the question, though she wasn't sure if it was directed at her, she quickly bounded up to answer it. "I'm just talking to everyone who got the letter!" Oddish exclaimed. "Are you here because of the letter? Cos, I've never seen you before, and everyone knows everyone... So I'm guessing you're new..." Oddish paused for a bit. "If you're not new though... Sorry! But if you are, and it's cos of the letter, you're in the right place!"

Eevee tilted his head and spoke, "Dude, I was complementing you. I figured you would like hearing about how radical you're going to be when you evolve. "If your looking for the pokemon who wrote that letter then follow me," Eevee continued before running out to where Oddish was without checking if Riolu was following.

Riolu followed Eevee and as the walked he said "I understand the Radical part as you said it but the main reason was you headbutted me from behind and that is what made me somewhat peeved so please try not to do that again alright," Riolu said calmly. Riolu wondered how this Eevee was so energetic all the time.

(Oh and one thing i forgot to put is one of his favorite things is the red scarf he wears)

Nearby, a Mudkip, called Rick, was sleeping. He liked sleep, but something felt a bit odd. There were two Pokémon, a Riolu, and an Eevee walking near him. He was curious as to who they were, because he had never seen them before.

'Hello!' called the Mudkip, towards the two Pokémon.

'I was wondering what you were doing, and who you were, because I haven't seen you two around here before!

Anyway, if it's nothing interesting, I'll just be exploring that nearby dungeon for some sleep seeds. They're the only things that help me get some rest nowadays.

Oh well. See ya!'

 

The rather odd Mudkip ran off in a hurry, as fast as his legs could carry him.

Pawniard ran through the little town, football-carrying the gummy he'd yookered from Kelceon. He didn't like having to do it, but times had been so tough lately, he'd had no other choice. As the angry shouts followed him to the town limits, he smacked into a furry wall and fell over.

Nearby, a Mudkip, called Rick, was sleeping. He liked sleep, but something felt a bit odd. There were two Pokémon, a Riolu, and an Eevee walking near him. He was curious as to who they were, because he had never seen them before.

'Hello!' called the Mudkip, towards the two Pokémon.

'I was wondering what you were doing, and who you were, because I haven't seen you two around here before!

Anyway, if it's nothing interesting, I'll just be exploring that nearby dungeon for some sleep seeds. They're the only things that help me get some rest nowadays.

The nearest mystery dungeon was a clear cave entrance sticking out from one of the many mountains. It was a small cave, but was also loaded with items useful to the new adventurer.

 

Currently: only a Wurmple lay, sleeping, in the dungeon. It would be easy enough to explore.

Pawniard ran through the little town, football-carrying the gummy he'd yookered from Kelceon. He didn't like having to do it, but times had been so tough lately, he'd had no other choice. As the angry shouts followed him to the town limits, he smacked into a furry wall and fell over.

As he tripped, the Pawniard lost hold of the gummy, which fell into a fairly deep ditch. The ditch was full of berries not yet ripe, and vines that were considered weeds to most. The gummy was now hidden, but probably still obtainable.

A Vulpix named Kindle walked into town, stopping occasionally to read a map. Hm. It should be pretty close by now. 

 

She had come prepared, carrying around a brown satchel that held five oran berries and five reviver seeds, along with a few scrolls, books(if books exist, that is), and a sketchbook with a small box of art supplies. The Pokemon was also wearing a purple heal ribbon that knotted at the front of her neck. She also wore purple goggles that served no other purpose than being a good luck charm with no real power attached.

 

When Kindle arrived, she saw a few Pokemon and actually thought the place looked quite nice despite it being a bit barren. Well, now to meet whoever runs this place. With that thought, she entered Paradise.

Pawniard dove into the ditch, ignoring the prickles, and searched around for the gummy before finding it. He clambered out of the ditch, flashed a winning smile at the Absol he'd T-boned, and took off again.

Shinx was waliking in the Paradise looking for Oddish.The Shinx wore a Bow Tie.He had 5 Oran Berry in his bag in case he got hungry.I am pretty close... He thought he saw the Oddish than ran straight for it.The closer he came he realised it wasn't an Oddish.But he couldn't stop.He stepped on a loose rock and he crashed into a Vulpix.

 

"Sorry.." said Shinx. He already made a mistake on the first day.He helped the Vulpix stand up.

He worked his way around, and saw that someone had dropped their rescue kit. Seeing this, he got through the dungeon and asked around Pokémon Paradise, to find the team that dropped it. He would ask the team who owned it straight away, but there was no name on it. Feeling disheartened, he put it down, and slept near it, hoping the prrson who had lost it would find it.

"Yes I am. So,what is there to do in "Paradise"? Seems a bit of a wasteland in my eyes at the current time. Also, how many pokémon did you send letters to?" Cyndaquil asked politely. He knew that there had to be a certain reason Oddish had sent out letters, or, invitations to all these pokémon.

Absol rolled his eyes at the Pawniard, trying not to care. Oddish quickly spun around, eventually hearing Pawniard's movements over her own voice. "Hey! I've never seen you before either... Are you a traveller, or are you here because of the-" Ooddish cut herself off, seeing another pokemon.

None of the pokemon seemed to notice the sleepy Mudkip, most likely too engaged in taking to one another.

Oddish was too busy talking to the Pawniard, who Absol seemed a bit angry at. Before long, however, Oddish noticed a small, or rather large, movement. Oddish immediately bounded over to find a Vulpix. "Hey! I've never seen you before either! Are you here because of the letter? Or, are you just here because of the... Something that's around here?" Oddish heard the question from Cyndaquil, and bounded back to him, once again, not finishing all she had to say. "Nice googles!" She called back as well.

"HAPPI?" Porygon asked. "Do not tell me you are thinking of starting a Rescue Squad. It would be far too dangerous for someone of your....status." Porygon said looking Oddish over as if he was scanning her. "As for the rest..." Porygon began to look over the other Pokemon he had noticed entering Paradise. "It seems the others are no better. It would be illogical to think that you could form a working team. Much stronger and more experienced Pokemon have tried only to be consumed by the same hatred and discord that plagues the rest of the world."

 

[That last sentence totally means Discord is the main villain right?]

After that accident he left and went to the place where some Pokemon were talking.He saw an Oddish, a Cyndaquill, an Absol and a Pawniard.

 

"Hey!" Shinx shouted. He walked towards the group of Pokemon that were talking."Sorry to interrupt but are you the Oddish that sent me that mail?"

Oh hey, that's the Oddi- Kindle's thoughts were cut off by being collided into by some other Pokemon. "AGH!" She laid on the ground with a bruise on her side. What was that?! She then looked up and saw a Shinx helping her up. Kindle succeeded in getting up and said,"It's ok. Thanks."

 

She looked around, not knowing where this "Oddish" was and she turned to the Shinx and asked,"Hey, do you know wh-" She interrupted again, this time by the very Pokemon she was about to ask for. Gosh, this one's hyper! Before she could hear the rest, Oddish had bounded off but not without complimenting her goggles. "Thanks!" Kindle called back. And she probably has attention problems... With that in mind, she followed Shinx over to the group.

Oddish bounded back to where Porygon and Absol were. The tiny grass type certainly got around quickly, which was good... Considering how many pokemon were talking to her at once. "My... Status?" Oddish asked, then quickly jumped onto an irratated Absol's head. "Me and Absol explore dungeons all the time, together! And, why aren't the others capable, either?" A look of worry suddenly washed over Oddish's face, but it was soon replaced with a smile, that seemed to scream a bit of innocence.

 

((For the record, Absol, and most of the time all other NPCs, will never join us in dungeons.))

*Flashback*

 

"Mail! Mail!" Pelipper shouted before the letter came floating down on Duo's head. Duo picked it up with her beak. Trio read the letter quickly.

 

"...wow. Whoever came up with this thing has problems, man." Was Trio's first reply before being pecked to death by Duo.

 

"Ow."

 

"...So, we're invited to Paradise?" Duo asked casually like her pecking Duo and hurting him didn't happen. "What's that?"

 

"Sounds stupid." Trio told Duo after recovering from his injury. Duo shot her other head a death glare, and Trio returned with with a frown. "...fine. We'll go."

 

*Present*

 

Doduo headed to the land called Paradise. As the two...heads made their way into the area and found some Pokémon, Trio burst out in laughter.

 

"See, Duo, I told you this was a sick joke!" 

 

"Shut up." Duo told Trio before they headed and walked up to Oddish.

 

"Um, this is Paradise, correct?" Duo asked.

 

"Well, if it is." The very blunt head blurted out. "Then it's one sorry place!"

 

"Please excuse my other head." Duo told Oddish apologeticly. "He's...odd. Anyway, i'm Duo, and the other head is Trio. If you want to refer to us as a whole, call us Doduo."

@, "What? What are you talking about? I'm not here for anything, I just st- found this gummy and was going to go eat it in peace!" Pawniard was talking quite quickly, like he usually did. Taking note of the growing noise behind him, he decided it was time to get the hell out of Dodge. "Gotta go! Angry mob! BYE!"

As usual, Litwick was lost in her thoughts, drifting slowly up one of the mountains surrounding Paradise. As she got nearer to the top, she pulled out the letter again, and while she was lost in her thoughts she somehow tripped over a very small rock and came tumbling down the mountain towards a group of Pokemon, almost knocking them over.

Litwick then got up and dusted herself off like nothing happened and looked around like nothing had just happened.

"This is the right place, isn't it?" She asked no-one in particular as she spun around, examining every part of jer surroundings at least 5 times.

Eevee finally reached Oddish with Riolu and started hopping up and down. "Dude, I found this Riolu, he's going to go with us and I think we should visit these "Mystery Dungeons" or whatever you call them. It's going to be so RADICAL!" He said to her excitedly.

A yellow ball found itself rolling somewhat rapidly down a dirt path towards the place it knew as Ledge Town, but only by name. As the ball entered the area, it slowed to a stop, where it uncurled into the form of a short rodent-like pokemon with a white belly, and a yellow brick pattern on its back. It - he - looked around this place, and at all the pokemon there were here. After the apprehensive glance about, the Pokemon known as Sandshrew looked down at a letter he had apparently had with him while he was rolling. This didn't look like the Paradise place he had been written about.

 

((Not really sure who's where, so feel free to approach Sandshrew yourself.))

Shadow watched as a Sandshrew rolled up the hill. A rather interesting mode of transportation, she noticed. Realizing that the Litwick was clearly lost in thought, she decided to approach the Sandshrew instead.

"Hello there! Are you here about the so called 'Paradice'? Do you know anything about it?" Although Shadow gave it a shot, she assumed the Sandshrew was just as confused as she was.

Sandshrew peered at the Zorua (Assuming she's not disguised) somewhat short-sightedly. After several moments, he decided that there was no harm in talking to her. "I... um... All I know about it is what this Oddish told me about it." He waved the letter shortly, drawing attention to it, before looking around again. "But I think I've gone the wrong way..."

Riolu had heard about these mystery dungeons and how every time you go in one the layout is always different and he has heard that there are ancient relics that may prove useful to him. "So tell me Eevee how much do you know about these Mystery dungeons" Riolu said calmly

Shinx never actually went into a dungeon but he knows the layout to dungeons.He did a bit of research for dungeons.Though he never went into one his knowledge about dungeons isn't bad.He already knew most of the adventurers know the layout but he does know more...

"Yes! They certainly are!" Oddish replied. While still cheery, her voice had dropped a bit. A hint of frustration was there, but really only noticeable to those that new her well, which made Absol show a slightly annoyed face as well.

"Yes,i would like to join." He saw an Eevee,a Riolu and a Porygon as well. He didn't think that there were going to be too many Pokemon here. Apparently the letter was sent to many adventurers. "So when are we going into a dungeon?" Shinx asked.Actually Shinx never had the courage to go into a Mystery Dungeon.He had been to a dungeon once but he got scared and ran away.Now he thought he had the courage.

"Really? Awesome!" Oddish replied, though the change in voice remained. "We just went out adventuring a while ago, actually!"

Shadow made a bit of a frown when she heard that Sandshrew didn't know anything either. Looking a little harder, she spotted a note attached to the wall. She took it down and read it aloud: "We have gone exploring. -Oddish. I wonder what that means...?" Shadow decided to lay on her soft, black and red fur and rethink the situation.

((I would prefer if such assumptions were not made. I'll go with it for now, though.))

 

The other pokemon, including the Zorua, were on the side of Paradise Absol had originally been watching. The note seemed to be somewhat old, as a result, most likely no longer relevant. Though that wasn't certain.
