private Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: The Path to Destiny

Suddenly not being bombarded with pokemon and their questions for once, Oddish turned her attention to Duo and Trio, who had suddenly just exclaimed something, though didn't appear to be around any other pokemon. Oddish bounced off of Absol, and onto Trio's head. "What'cha doing?" She asked, completely disregarding any annoyance that she may be causing Trio, or Duo for that matter.

Trio groaned. "Here we go..."

 

"Well." Duo told oddish. "Unlike my other head, i'm a reasearcher. There is this portal that can be opened when using he right set of entercards, which is typiclly keys to dungeons. When placed ina proper order with proper images on the cards, an entrance to a fabulous new dungeon appears! Currently i've been working on a simple dungeon that should lead to the close Breezy Meadow. It''ll be perfect for training!"

 

Trio actually smiled. "Duo takes care of getting us to the dungeons. I take care of getting us theough the dungeons."

 

"We may be smart, but we ain't much of a fighter. Trio is a fighter, but is way too reckless at times. We've never even gotten to the second floor in a dungeon all our lives..."

Riolu went and explored one of the nearby dungeons "So this is what a mystery dungeon looks like"  Riolu said to himself. Riolu explored deeper into the dungeon it seemed the deeper he went the more things he found. He leans down and finds a odd relic. "Hmm and what is this strange stone tablet" Riolu thought to himself.  Riolu exited the Dungeon he felt stronger "Hmm i feel stronger now sorry eevee you took to long." Riolu thought to himself

Trio groaned. "Here we go..."

"Really? That's awesome!" Oddish said, then thought for a moment. To the average pokemon, that was about 2 seconds worth of silence. To Oddish; it was at least 20 minutes. "Hey! Why don't we all go into the dungeon?" She asked "Of course... We'd have to split up into teams, huh?"

"Really? That's awesome!" Oddish said, then thought for a moment. To the average pokemon, that was about 2 seconds worth of silence. To Oddish; it was at least 20 minutes. "Hey! Why don't we all go into the dungeon?" She asked "Of course... We'd have to split up into teams, huh?"

 

"It's nice to see someone who is new too. My name is Shadow!" Shadow quickly replied. She was a little excited at finding a Pokémon who knew what they were doing; so much that she had to contain herself. After a bit of mental willing, she replied. "I got the letter too. A bit vague, don't you think?"

 

Shinx had heard what Oddish said."Yeah we should split up." he said to Oddish.He saw the Vulpix and Pawniard talking with each other and he saw the Sandshrew and a Cyndaquil talking with each other." He thought about teaming up with Shadow."Hey, should we team up?".I hope she says yes.Shinx thought they would make a great team.

Cyndaquil knew that something had to be wrong, he could just feel it. But he had to let it go, pushing a question onto somebody is no way to get it out of them. He thought for a moment and quickly came up with another idea.

 

"So what's your best ability? You know, an attack that you're always trying to perfect or get better at?" He said with a happy kind of tone. "I hope this works" He said in his head.

Sandshrew shrugged. "Well, there's this one move I've been trying to learn, Bulldoze, but I can't really get it down. I need a Tm from Kecleon, I suppose." He shrugged again. "I suppose there's a few things I'm good at already. Check this out." He walked up to a large rock, and his claws began to glow blue-white, and crackled with energy. He swung powerfully at the rock, which broke apart into tiny pieces.

Sandshrew shrugged. "Well, there's this one move I've been trying to learn, Bulldoze, but I can't really get it down. I need a Tm from Kecleon, I suppose." He shrugged again. "I-I'm Cyndaquil, I used to have a nickname that I, rather admired slightly, back where I was from a while ago...however that part of my past is gone for now." He stated nervously, holding out his arm toward Sandshrew.

"That's a great idea, I suppose." Trio grumbled. "Duo just needs about a minute more to get it ready, the entercards, I mean, and we'll be all set. I'd prefer a fighter to come on our team, but..."

 

"Well." Duo stated. "Four pokémon to a team.We have..12 or 13 pokémon here, I think. Three teams of four should work well."

"That's a great idea, I suppose." Trio grumbled. "Duo just needs about a minute more to get it ready, the entercards, I mean, and we'll be all set. I'd prefer a fighter to come on our team, but..."

 

"Well." Duo stated. "Four pokémon to a team.We have..12 or 13 pokémon here, I think. Three teams of four should work well."

"Okay!" Oddish replied, though still not moving off of Trio's head. "I'll get the teams ready now then, okay?" Without a reply, Oddish bounced off to assemble any teams. 

 

Taking a deep breathe, Oddish yelled, from the top of her lungs "EVERYBODY! COME HERE!" Oddish thought for a second. "PLEASE!" She added in the same loud and booming voice.

 

Absol had wandered off to where he was before, and didn't bother to pay attention to Oddish.

Kindle nearly got absorbed into her scroll before she was jolted out of it by Oddish's order. Well, better get going! She gave her heal ribbon a tug and flinged her satchel on across her body as she bounded toward Oddish and the other Pokemon. Man, this is my first time going to a dungeon! I wonder what it's going to be like? She put a paw on her goggles for good luck and waited.

 Cyndaquil released a sigh after collecting himself. He had hoped Sandshrew would open up to him, even if it was just a little bit. No matter, he tried but he knew that a pokémon like him would have his own time to branch out and be sociable.

Sandshrew nodded, and extended his own paw, shaking Cyndaquil's stubby little arm. "Sandshrew. And we all have things we don't like to remember." He left it at that, for at that moment, Oddish squealed for everyone's attention some ways away, and he gestured at Cyndaquil moments before taking a step down the hill towards Oddish. "Come on, we'd better get down there." And moments later Sandshrew had scampered down to where Oddish stood, albeit maintaining some distance subconsciously from the Doduo.

Pawniard's ears (or what he called ears) perked up. Being a Dark-type, he had an uncanny ability to tell when something fun (dangerous and likely costly) was going to happen. He tore towards where he'd heard the voice and smacked into Absol.

Pawniard staggered and turned a slow circle, trying to shake it off.

Absol staggered back as well. Obviously irritated, he quickly said "You really want me to hold a grudge against--" Before cutting himself off. "Go meet Oddish." He muttered, before turning away again.

 

Meanwhile, Oddish, not bothering to see who she had grabbed the attention of, and who was even in front of her, began talking. "Alrighty" She began. "Thanks to Doduo, we'll be going to a dungeon soon... as a team!" Oddish squeaked, excited. "Of course... We'll be divided into smaller teams. Does anyone have preference?" She asked.

Kindle looked up at the authoritative tiny ball of sunshine that was Oddish and simply shook her head to say "No, I don't have a preference." Although I wouldn't want to be with that Porygon or Duduo. They'll be a pretty big pain if I get teamed up with them!

 Cyndaquil held back a bit and watched Sandshrew. He quickly snapped out of his thought when he heard Oddish starting to talk. Racing down the hill he made it to where the group of Pokémon were now huddling around. Luckily Oddish wasn't a quiet talker so he was able to hear everything she had to say.

 

 "A dungeon eh? And in groups no less.." He thought to himself.

 

 Thinking he could actually learn something from his new, "acquaintance", he thought joining up with Sandshrew wouldn't be a bad idea. However, he was unsure how Sandshrew himself would feel about his "preference". 

 

 "I wouldn't mind working with Sandshrew. I think we might make a good team." Cyndaquil said turning to look at him. "That is, if he doesn't mind..."

Riolu stood there shocked. he looked over the his team list *he facepalmed* "Well this is going to be something" Riolu said calmly. Riolu was never much of a team player he preferred to do things on his own but oddish wanted him on a team so he just went with it.

Sandshrew glanced around at the Pokemon that were supposed to be his group. Well, this would be an adventure, all right. Cyndaquil, he sorta knew, but Pawniard and Shinx were entire unknowns. He recognised the Pokemon, that would be his group, and both tried to meet them and avoid their gazes.

Kindle looked emotionless save for the flattened ears. Inside though, she was disappointed and kept reminding herself that it wasn't permanent. It's only temporary. I'll get through this. Who knows? They might be pretty kind Pokemon on the inside! Trying to hold onto the positive thoughts and straightening her lucky goggles, the Vulpix made her way toward her teammates.

"Alright, alright! All you guys, I'll take point, 'cause I'm the fastest!"  Pawniard was hopping around in excitement. From what he'd heard, dungeons were stuffed to the gills with food. If he stayed ahead of the pack, he could grab the loot and be up and away before anyone knew what happened.

Mudkip was looking around, thinking if the team he was in was going to work. He was with an Eevee, a Riolu, and a Zorua. He was hoping that the Riolu would not try to start a fight, the Eevee would not turn into a Leafeon or a Jolteon, or that the Zorua would start trolling people. He remembered that he found an unclaimed rescue kit, so he just said "I found a rescue kit! Anyway, just so we could claim it, how about we make a name for our team, like Z.A.R.M? Just a suggestion..."

Eevee grinned widely as he heard he and Riolu would be on a team. "RADICAL! We're going to be the most awesome team ever!" He shouted before bouncing in place. "LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!" He yelled loudly.
