~Luminiferous Ether~ 107 May 18, 2013 Share May 18, 2013 This exists I love parkour, and even though I've never done any professional learning, self teaching / taking drama classes helps me do all the things I've ever wanted to do with parkour http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=24&u=17738028
Throwaway19573639385 764 May 18, 2013 Share May 18, 2013 I've tried parkour and freerunning but I wasn't fit enough to actually do it. Currently trying to build up my core strength before I'm going to retry. Some may call it stupid and dangerous but knowing your limitations seriously reduces most of the risks. And besides that, I like feeling a thrill, the danger is just a free bonus

Beat Shock 581 June 3, 2013 Author Share June 3, 2013 I've been working hard on some of the more advanced moves that I'm going to use in my next video. I learned this one just from a tutorial! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v01X60Yq1qI&lc=M5R5GL66SkHBrzlQRTBxuGBdTxPFqM2wdqrAHF8ffwA Tutorial: Here's a video from Utah's first Parkour gym! Me and my friends did some insane tricking there! You can find me at: 4:44, 7:35, and 9:26 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfgKXA4BPTs
~Rogue~ 193 June 4, 2013 Share June 4, 2013 Yay! I was just about to make a parkour thread 'til I found this! I do parkour, I don't do it all the time but I do it when I'm bored. Yesterday I did my first succsessful monkey vault (Yay me!) and I attempted to do a backflip but epically failed and landed flat on my spine. I haven't done parkour for while now because of that incident. I have a new hobby now (the forums). Beat Shock 581 June 10, 2013 Author Share June 10, 2013 Yay! We all have times when we get injured from trying something new, but the truly skilled and determined Freerunners and Traceurs don't let those incidences destroy their Parkour/Freerunning experience. There have been times when I've lost the nerve to do backflips because of one big fail, and I would cry in sadness because of all of my disappointment, but I just started at square one and relearned how to do everything I had thought I'd never do again. I did it with safety pads and careful training until I got the confidence to do it in the hard environment. Don't let that one fail stop you from progressing, but try and learn how you can do it safer next time. If you do that for every move you learn, you'll become one of the advanced Freerunners in no time! I just did this advanced move last Saturday, and I am extremely proud of myself because it took me a month to learn! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moWdRA4LNEs
Fluttermena 1,223 June 11, 2013 Share June 11, 2013 I've always had an interest in parkour. Of course I'm clumsy and do practically no physical activity whatsoever so I'd probably be about as good as the QWOP guy if I ever tried. Has anyone here played Mirror's Edge? I recommend it.
