Ed, Edd n Eddy was a show where pretty much anything went. Fly for thirty seconds on your rollerblades or have the world's stretchiest jaws. The difference between the two is that My Little Pony is more of a Daily Life In Placevillelandtown, where once can still get up to antics but for the most part is rigid as an environment, and Ed Edd n Eddy is all for the comedy giggles and random moments.

 

Ergo; proportionally speaking, Pinkie Pie is more of a master. Directly speaking, Ed, Edd n Eddy have it covered.

As a huge, huge fan of Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, this is an interesting topic.

 

But to be honest, it's hard to quantify that. When it comes to breaking the laws of reality, Ed, Edd, n' Eddy do tend to do that a lot, but Pinkie Pie has done it in much more extravagant and in your face ways. Another problem is that Pinkie lives in a world full of magic and crazy creatures, while the Eds, for all intents and purposes, live in a normal neighborhood with no magic to speak of. Sure, there are a few things, like the magic boomerang, but it's relatively normal otherwise.

 

The Eds have broken the sky before to reveal television static, talked about the show itself, and done physically impossible feats, but then Pinkie has stopped herself in mid air, talked to the viewers before, and done a lot of other whacky stuff as well.

 

In terms of who's the master... I may just give to Pinkie Pie since that seems to just be her thing, but I'm not sure. I'll just call it a draw.

 

But then you bring up the point of the Eds trying to scam the ponies... and honestly, they might be able to pull it off, but Ed will probably ruin the scam anyway, so who knows.

I absolutely adore the Ed boys. My favorite childhood cartoon and still today the best cartoon show I've ever watched, apart from My Little Pony of course. With double D's genius contraptions and Eddy's witty plans, Ed makes the best for his spleen pinching dumb humor and spontaneous physical strength : The Ed Boys have my vote :3 .

Ed Ed n Eddy and MLP are both great shows also the only cartoons I watch. But if the Eds and Pinkie and competing for breaking the laws of physics then the Eds win. First of all Eddy's tounge is green. Ed moved a house with his hand. Double D built a scooter out of garbage within 10 seconds. Pinkie is just really random.

I'd define 4th wall as interaction with the audience, the writers, the show itself and the viewers. While the Ed's have done crazy stuff, like be aware that they're in the show, manipulate flashbacks, etc, it's more like actors who are aware they're in a play and aware that there's an audience watching, where Pinkie Pie takes it to the next level. Manipulating the fade to black screen, looking at the viewers, acting out of sync with slowmotion takes, altering her face to look a different animation style, etc. 

 

The Ed's are self aware but playing their roles on set, where Pinkie Pie is 'messing with the set dressing'. They're improv actors. She's designing the flash assets. Get where I'm going with this?

I remember an episode of EEnE where Eddy was on a quest to know everything and ended up unraveling the laws of reality. It was pretty much as far as 4th Wall Breaking can go in a cartoon. However, when reality was put back to normal, Ed couldn't tap into the wonders of that broken reality anymore. He attempted to pick up a cartoon hole and ended up picking an entire man hole pipe. Ed can break the 4th wall, but he is clearly not a master of these abilities. It tends to happen more when he isn't thinking about it.

 

Pinkie is not a blithering idiot. Even if she breaks the 4th wall out of instinct more so than purposely, she could still crush Ed in an intelligence test any day. I am also reminded of when Pinkie made the Transformers noise in a certain movie. Talk about taking something from universe and bringing it into your own! Again, Ed had the chance to do something similar and just couldn't.

 

To sum up, I'd say neither of these two are masters of breaking the 4th wall. However, if anyone is close enough to doing so on purpose whenever they want, it's Pinkie.
