My dear pony loving bronies, I require ideas.

TL;DR first: Okay, I need ideas for pony related pictures, any pony from the show will do, even multiple characters.

Here's The full explanation:

Recent days I have had this urge to draw ponies, but my time is limited and my ideas are poor, So I feel like my motivation to draw ponies is bogged down by the lack of inspiring ideas. I am a professional comic book artsit, illustrator and visual designer. I've taken one year course on animation and have worked 3 years as background artist and character designer for an animation company in Netherlands before so in a sense I have grown accustomed to working from a source material of concepts and requirements.

Brainstorming and detail work, scene building from basic ideas is my forte. But stemming ideas for single images or short stories out of the blue often leaves me staring at a blank page with a blank mind as any idea I come up is either too large, too irrelevant or just plain old boring.

I feel like I would love to draw ponies with my free time a bit more but I can't really come up with my own ideas for them due not being very strong in the "feel" portion of art. I am more of a tool that performs than originator a kin to Lauren Faust. It doesn't help my adherence to the light-hearted mood of the ponies that I so much love about them that I am what psychologists would call a Intuitive thinker. Meaning my sense of humour generally is sarcastic and dry, favouring satire over slapstick.

All of this long explanation sums up to my original requests that you people with more attuned to emotion and sensing world minds might perhaps provide me some artistic inspirations for good pony arts. All ideas are welcome and listened to and in Brony fashion loved, tolerated and respected even if not taken under process.

So, if you have any good ideas you would like to see, do share and we'll make some wonderful art and participants/ Collaborators will be duly credited for their effort and ideas in the image as well as submissions to image galleries online.

I like to expand on ideas discovered in fanon, so... what do you think a Stalliongrad would look like, based on the other architectural designs in Equestria?

I mean, there's Canterlot, a place thought by many to be the center of Equestrian knowledge and on the cutting edge of many aspects of culture.

Cloudsdale is Equestria's nod to the Greeks.

And we all know what Ponyville looks like, no need for an image there. How do you think ponies would build to endure a long, harsh winter season? Would their structures imply a pride in being a hardy folk, able to take such things?

Sorry if I missed the point completely.

Sheesh, I wrote out a reply twice to you and both times the browser fucked it up by somehow opening a link in this window or by refreshing the page due a keystroke accident.

Now for the third attempt, sorry for the brevity but I already twice wrote a long response.

I don't really like to go very deep into Fanon as already in canon we see so much variety and elements from different eras and styles, this wild range of looks has so much uncertainty that you could just as well go for a pre-medieval Viking Village or make it into a German fortress city from 17th century and be "right" in both scenarios. Instead perhaps in depth look into canon locations based on what is seen of them in the series might prove more doable and rewarding that to go and compose whole new content.

Then again designing a pony city from scratch is intriguing idea, yet with the reference material from the series the design would have to be heavily symbolic rather than proper cityscape as we see from Canterlot which when inside the city is much larger than the silhouette view would let you understand.

My point for pony art was more a kin to "let's give some canon locations a further imagining and place some ponies on it doing pony stuff". As you go to Fanon, you end up into cupcakes and fallout sooner than later just because fanon has no rules. :(
