writing Confused - Me

Confusion, these feelings unhooked.

Clouding the sense of judgement.

Like a thundercloud, huge, dark.

Lightning strikes the dazed mind.

 

Warmth, this joyful feeling surging.

Heating as it runs through the veins.

Like a fire, burning, living.

Flames burn the impure body.

 

Doubt, invading the closed head.

Messing up the obvious answers.

Like a mist, deceiving, enclosing.

Cold embrace shrouds the brain.

 

Fear, stopping the simplest of acts.

Nagging in the back of consciousness.

Like a shadow, creeping, stalking.

Striking at the worst of times.

 

Affecting, making the heart flutter.

Lifting the soul to new heights.

Like a wave, overpowering, crushing.

Hitting the shore of happiness.

 

Life, a mystery to be solved.

Fueled by these emotions.

Like a code, secret, anonymous.

The unity of this, is me.

Well, for a title "confused" this indeed is a bit confusing read X3

Good work on the analogies and so forth however! I like the mindscapes you painted there

I guess you know what I think about this poem but I'll say it again, I like the way it's written and it sure is interesting to read. Hope the bad feelings you mentioned in your poem are gone or at least suppressed now that you expressed them in such a way.
