All he has to do is feed off my friendship with him until he's strong enough to change into an alicorn and kick my butt.

I have to agree with him. As a Changeling, I know all about underestimating a seemingly innocent pony. 

As for him coming after me with a flamethrower, I can run, I can hide by Changing, but sooner or later, I'll give in to his determination
