I'd agree with that. Maybe, if @@Concord Discord, can have Curse cut a deal with the changeling Captain, he could get back to base... only to find that everypony there has vanished. Maybe then he could get the fear on and decide to get out of the Crystal Empire right away?

Interesting idea... I knew the Black Hoof and Equestrian army would have to team up at some point, but since the Black Hoof's basically been scrapped, it would make sense for Curse to join the only other team fighting against the Crystal Empire.

He's gonna have to improve his hoof-to-hoof combat, though

By the way, did we ever find out what happened to the rest of the roleplayers for the black hoof?

*shrug* I wasn't party to any issue regarding such things. So basically it comes down to:

-Does Equestria have fairly advanced metal-working tech? Yes. They have -trains-. Which are much more complicated.

-Am I using gunpowder, which hasn't been discovered? No. Its stored magical energy that reacts violently when touching another kind of stored magical energy.

-Can you even store magic? Yes. As far as I am aware, magic can be bound to pretty much any object in Equestria.

When you bind those together. You get a rifle that uses magic components rather than tech. Plus I must mention, its not like a sniper rifle that the modern military employs. Its somewhere on the level of early flintlock rifles. Which means it has a range of less than a few hundred yards, even less for accurate shots.

 

Edit: Whether she actually dies or not is -completely- up to you. Won't stop me from trying.

 

Edit #2: If you think me 'pulling something out of thin air' is god-moddy, you've got to consider some things. I don't ever use concepts which do not a basis. All of the things needed to make the obects and actions I describe are entirely possible. Is it a little bit sudden and quite possibly random? Yes to the first, no to the second. What I do tends to be complex with many different thigns happening in the background. I also have the general freedom to define what has occured in the past as far as Steeleye goes, within the feasible boundaries of fair play.

I'm going to have to give you another warning, you've forced my hand this time. It states in the rules there are no firearms allowed, and this is not your first infringement of them. I'm trying to be lenient with you, but you're not giving me much to work with here, sorry. 

Next warning and you're out of the RP, i'm afraid. There is no point having rules if they're not going to be enforced.

It is not a part of the story, part of your character, sign up or otherwise, there has been -again- no mention of it or any of its components up until this point.

 

Counter-point argument time.

The trains in Equestria are pulled by ponies, or have you forgotten that? 

As far as having the general freedom to discuss what happened in Steeleye's past, that goes for all of us. If we all decide to abuse that, we may as well just take a torch to the RP because we'd end up with a RP full of Dragonborn with rocket launchers hidden in every tree of Ponyville.

I apologize for the lack of seriousness, even though this sort of requires it. But the dragonpony comment made me chuckle.

 

On a more serious note:

I derped. I didn't notice that the trains are pulled by ponies. Not sure how I missed that.

As well, is it not okay for me to test out ideas? (I swear I have absolutely no sarcasm or belligerence intended in that statement.) I have a bit of a tough time gauging when to introduce concepts. (For me, Steeleye is still in the stage where his place in the roleplay is still being hacked out. This also applies to what can and can't happen. The roleplay still has that 'new baby' kind of feeling from my perspective.) I promise I'm not going to pull a Death Laser out. But I do intend to think of things on the spot.

 

Edit: Huh. Personal Flaw. Most of this would be avoided if I wasn't thick and actually remembered to ask you about stuff.

Beat me to the punch there. The time era for this is set pretty much where we are with canon at the minute, Discord is with Equestria, Chrysalis hasn't been heard from sinse the wedding etc, so things that fit within that time era will be considered much more readily than things that are from beyond.

 

Canterlot guards still use spears, for example. Magic is used as their artillery weapons etc.

HistoricallyInaccurate asked if he could use crossbows for his squad, and we rejected the idea (although I am seriously contemplating allowing it, as of late) because they where close to firearms and deemed to be OP in comparison to the standard "sword and shield" infantry, so to speak. 

 

Just ask us about things you want to bring in, and who knows? We might even surprise you and accept it

Hold on, now. Not all trains are pulled by ponies. Certain ones are, but in Mmmystery on the Friendship Express, the train was coal powered. Remember the scene where Fluttershy pretended to be the conductor shoveling coal?

 

As for the guns, that's a no go. No guns of any kind. It's in the rules, and I'll thank you to follow them.

I've given Lucy free reign over whatever she feels like doing with Harmonic. The way I see it, Chrysalis is an Alicorn, and a powerful one at that, Harmonic's not going to have much chance to defend himself against her magic should that situation arise, so Lucy can godmod a little if she feels the need.

Yeah, why not? It's a pretty good idea if you ask me, as far as i'm concerned i'm happy for it to be implemented, it doesn't really change anything, but it could give us an interesting end to the story.

Would it be okay if Arrow goes to investigate the source of the explosion, possibly walking in on the fight? It would give him something to do at least (I worry when I don't post for a while that people will think I'm losing interest in the roleplay), and Chrysalis and Harmonic need to be broken up somehow (unless of course you guys already had plans for that).

And we dont plan things, we just discuss what's about to happen. As far as "planning" goes, I was just thinking of having Cadence come in if nothing else happened, but it's open.
