Volt looked horrified at the place where Cuppie was just standing. His mouth was nearly at the floor. The one friend he had in Sydney, and he had ruined everything. He left the bakery, not caring who's orders were up, or what was still in the oven. After what had just happened, he pretty much wanted to get fired. He walked around Sydney, not knowing where he was going and not caring. He somehow ended up on a beach and when he looked up he saw the pegasus he had betrayed. He turned back to where he had come from, for he knew Cuppie wouldn't want to speak with him.

Cuppie hovered in midair for a while fuming but soon her anger faded exhaustion taking over her body slowly drooping to the sand as she collapsed laying there motionless. She didn't even take notice of Volt and she began to sing, "when I was a little filly and the sun was going doooown," and indeed the sun was making its way down toward the horizon the sky making beautiful colors in the sky.

"The darkness and the shadows would always make me froooown,"her singing was somber and quiet barely over a whisper, her singing wasn't very good but she wasn't terrible either, "I'd hide under my pillow at what I thought I'd seen, but Pinkie Pie said that wasn't the way to deal with fears.....at all." She curled herself up into a tight ball sighing deeply.

((You would not believe how close I was to having Volt sing with Cuppie XD))

 

Volt's ears perked up. He heard a faint singing voice. He recognized it as Cuppie's voice. He walked over to the mare. "Hey, listen. I wasn't trying to replace you. I... I saw you leaving and I didn't want to stay. I think... I think I got the job at the bakery so I would remember you. I'm... I'm sorry. I didn't know how much that job meant to you. I'm sorry..."

At the sound of the stallions voice Cuppie jolted up right turned quickly to face him. Complete embaressment and shock on her face as she listened to his words and her expression softened at she broke embrassing Volt into a huge hug, "oh I can't stay mad at you, you're like my best friend here and it's ok that you work and the bakery now maybe we can both do it." When she pulled away the biggest smile covered her face.

After the very steamy shower and sharing a passionate kiss with Cuppie. The stallion sat on the sofa, still reeling from what had transpired over the day. He was happy to have Cuppie back in his life and with that he headed out for a walk around the town.

"if I remember, Cuppie worked in a bakery across the road from where we were going anyway. we could probably pop in there for a bite"

her stomach growled once more and her cheeks burned up into bright red

After leaving the bakery rouge had sat down in a local park and let it sink in on what he had put his only friend and a complte stranger through.' I've just messed up royaly first I not only get into somepony elses buissness but then I force said pony and my only friend, and that was just after he had allowed me to stay at his appartment.' Rouge felt like a complet idiot not only for putting them through what he did but also taking time away from what ever one of the ponies had to do that day. ' okay enough mopeing around, I'm going to show them how much I realy mean I'm sorry.' And with that thought rouge checked his saddle bag and found he had just enough supplies to get the job done he sprinted into the closest board store and bought four twenty hoof by twenty hoof boards and had them bought to the back of the appartments that volt and dogboots lived at. ' good now let's get this party started.' Rouge thought as he started to put the boards up. "Oh, thank you, sir!" Rouge called to the stores stallion.

 

**two hours later**

 

"Good, it's all done, I can only hope that they may forgive me." Rouge said to him self as he looked over his work. After finishing the appolagy art rouge had went twords volts appartment building and started to write an appolagy letter.

I know that you are probly mad at me, and justifyingly so. I am not bribing you , I only want to give this to you because you have been a good friend to me and I was only a hinderance to what ever you had planed. If you look behind the plant pot there is a bag of five thousand bits for you, volt and for causing you trouble dogboots I, am really sorry for almost ruining what you had and for getting into your bussieness when it wasn't okay for me to do that so I have left you a bag of five thousand bits over in your plant pot. I know that this doesn't make my actions justified in any way but go around back of the appartment and you will find something I made to say sorry, feel free to do what ever you wish with it.

Rouge had spent most of his day just walking around and just thinking "did volt and dog boots even getto see the letter? Do they accept my appology? Goddesses help me." Rouge thought to himself as he walk down mane st. Twords volts appartment complex.

Volt smiled at the mare. He couldn't stop. He was so glad she had forgiven him. And best friend... "Thanks Cuppie. But um, I still need a job. Maybe we can see if Flour will let us both work there? I'm a pretty good baker if I do say so myself." But his smile dropped a little. He shouldn't be joking about what had made her mad in the first place.

Cuppie gave a coy smiled, "fine, but I get to be head chef,"

They made their way back to the bakery the pegasi almost getting them lost two or three times and when they finally arrived Flour was out of the bakery, she usually was so they made their way to the kitchen Cuppie imediately starting to work. She almost danced around the kitcheb as she whipping up a souffle, a cheese cake and a batch of snickerdoodle cookies all at the same time as easily as a bird would sing. She hummed while she worked a happy tune that put a bounce in her step and made her smile that much brighter. This was her passion.

At the sight of Cuppie working, Volt gave a sarcastic pout. "Well shucks I can only make one thing at a time." He chuckled at his own unfunny joke and set off to work as well. Not many off the appliances were on so he gave them all a few zaps of electricity. He then started on a batch of cookies. He gave a quick glance at Cuppie's flank to confirm his suspicions. "So Cuppie I assume your talent is baking?"

She looked up at him impressed, "wow I couldn't work those things forever thank you so much and woah I can't believe you're making cookies that's gutsy."

Then at his last comment she put on an air of sarcasm, "no my talent is sword fishing my rear just didn't get the memo," she rolled her eyes, "yes of coarse I bake question is what you do exactly."

Volt gave Cuppie a quizzical look. "Didn't I show you? The whole switching thing? Well when I lived in Baltimare I was the one who provided the lightning for thunderstorms and stuff. And what's so gutsy about making cookies?" He continued to add ingredients to the batter. He stopped to look around. He grabbed some chocolate chips and cinnamon. "I'm pretty sure I can handle some cookies."

Dogboots began to make his way to the docks where first had to unload the lobsters which took quite a while before they had to stock the stand which didn't take too long but still, he had to manage the lobster stand. Unfortunately he wasn't the type of pony to socialize with others, especially when selling lobsters.

Mystic gained a boost of confidence and nodded at Vinyl to let her know what she was about to do, then turned to the pegasi

"off we go to the bakery, try to keep up"

Mystic and Vinyl readied and bolted off, jumping up and over rooftops. eventually the group arrived at the front of the bakery, Mystic gasping for breath, full of adrenaline

"we...made it"

Cuppie smiled remembering Volts switching, "well of coarse you showed me THAT but this is different, you didn't tell me you could fix electrical equipment I wouldve had you do it sooner I've been having to make everything by hoof. You know, you really are amazing." With that she turned back to her baking the smells over filling the room and flowing out into the rest of the bakery.

"Well fixing electrical stuff isn't my talent. It just kinda comes with being able to use electricity. And I dunno Cuppie, you're pretty amazing too. Um, uh, at baking! Yea at baking. Your talent. Baking." Volt turned away from Cuppie, not wanting her to see him blush. He continued making the cookie dough in silence. He didn't know if Cuppie would take what he had said and thought of how it sounded.

"Sounds like someone isn't staying in shape. Don't worry. Maybe with some more training, you can become as good as me." Vinyl laughed and smiled at Mystic as the group walked into the bakery. "Hey Cuppie. We'd like some sweets. I could definitely go for a chocolate shake and some cupcakes."

Mystic eventually caught her breath

"I havent done anything like that in a while, lately I've been taking my time"

she trotted into the bakery

​"oh, hey Cuppie, I thought you would be spending more time with Romeo. well, we just popped in for a bite to eat, I'll have what Vinyls having"

Cuppie put a hoof to her chin in thought, "hmm, we don't usually serve milkshakes but I can see what I can whip up I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard." She smiled at the two mares before turning back to the little swingimg door that separated the kitchen from the rest of the bakery. She noted that Volt was acting a little weird but shrugged it off, he was probably just embarrassed from her giving him a compliment. She turned to him now, "Hey we got an order up think you can make a few milkshakes?"

Cuppie came out of this kitchen with a tray holding a couple of milkshakes and a plate of muffins, "Well, how is everypony on this fine morning! It feels like a while since I've seen you guys." She set the tray down in the middle of a table sitting down in a chair and placing her hooves neatly infront of her look up at them she smiled, "you guys can sit down if you want."
