I stand there is silnence for a minute.

Me: Welp... guess I'll have to get the lock fixed... erm, it's nice to meet you to, my names Cloudchaser but my freinds call me Cloud... so uh... what's the school like?  I just arrived here like... ten minutes ago.  What about you?  How long have you been here?

"Well don't ask me, I just arrived here. Did you see a... training spot or a place to fly when you first came here?" I say while stretching my wings.

"I love to fly, I'm actually pretty fast, not to brag or anything..."

"I think we should check out the place, before doing anything else... if you're not coming I'll do it myself."

"Alright" Neon smiled as they trotted to their dorm. When they got there Neon sat down and listened to Rambler playing the guitar, Neon smiled all through the song. When Rambler was done Neon hugged him "I loved it" She said then kissed Rambler, stopping for a second to talk "Thank you" She said then continued kissing Rambler

Me: No I don't think I did... but I'm pretty sure theirs a soccer field around here... you could use that.  And no, sorry I don't think I'm going to come.  I have to unpack my stuff and I've been on a very... very long bus ride.  Maybe I'll see you around sometime Red, (I hold my hoof out to shake)

(Hah, what can I say?  I'm a writer, so I like to make longer posts.)

 

The class ended and Denim exited. While she enjoyed reading, literature wasn't really her favorite subject. The stallion she'd met, Saronyx, had said he was a writer. When she'd inquired about what dorm he was in, he stated that he lived off campus.

 

They had talked for a few minutes more before saying their farewells. Denim trotted back towards her dorm, feeling much better now after taking the pill given to her by the pegasus.

 

She unlocked the door and stepped in, shutting it behind her and trotting towards her room. She sighed as she observed the ice coated space. Apparently she'd used some of her more enchanted ice that wouldn't melt unless she made it. Well, that was lucky. Her magic had returned slightly when the dissipation of the hangover, so she set about reducing the ice to moisture, levitating it into a large ball of water. Eventually, it was just a large orb floating in the middle of her room, which was no longer frozen. Denim melded the ball of water into a stream and led it into the restroom, dropping it into the tub to let it drain.

 

Her task complete, she returned to her room and looked at the door that Royal had knocked down, "Well... Let's see if I have enough left in me to get a new one..."

 

She inhaled deeply and focused on the door frame. A faint purple mist emanated from the woodwork, and shortly after, a new door appeared in place of the old one. Denim let the breath she'd been holding out slowly, leaning against the counter as she grew lightheaded, "OK... Probably should have left that till tonight... Ah well, can't undo the past." 

 

She'd put a fair amount of strain on the little magical energy she'd regained, and conjuration spells were difficult enough for her in the first place.

 

Denim waited until her head had stopped spinning before trotting over to the sink and getting a drink of water, after which she exited the dorm, turning down towards the higher numbered dorm rooms, "I'll just go wander, see if I run into anypony to befriend. ... I wonder where Royal is? Probably enjoying the break. Ah well, if I run into him, I run into him. And if not, I'll see him tonight."

Gardenia looked at the campus in awe and excitement, "This whole place is really solely dedicated to academics? It's so... big. And there are so many ponies going about. I got to check out their library!"

 

Gardenia started to walk into the campus, and realized she still had saddle-bags, "Perhaps I should drop these off in my new dorm, first."

 

She found her way into the wing of the campus where her new living quarters were. Walking through the hallway she noticed quite a few of the students going about business... not entirely academic in nature.

 

She finally got to the door of her dorm, and opened it. "Huh, I thought it would be bigger. Don't I have a roomate, after all? But, I suppose it isn't that bad, certainly enough space to live in."

 

Gardenia trotted into her room and removed her saddle-bags, placing them on the bed she claimed her own. "I wonder where my room mate is anyway? I ought to meet him or her as soon as I can."

Blaze walked up to his new dorm with confidence. He knocked on the door in case anypony was in. "Heloooo? Is there anypony there? I'm the new roomate here and I'm checking so I don't sound rude." He said honestly.

*I just hope it's not a mare. My face already goes red enough.* He thought.

"Well l'll check this place out then..."

I leave the room and go searching for the for the football field.

*Well that went actually quite well... atleast we're friends with my roommate.* I think and finally find the field.

"Alrighty then... might as well fly, I guess..."

I say before taking off and start flying randomly. Everyone who's around barely sees Redstorm, mostly a blue and red stripe.

*Wow, you can see everything from up here...* I think to myself.

Gardenia's head perked up when she heard the knocking on the door. "Oh, do come in!" She trotted up to the door and opened it herself.

 

Gardenia noticed a bit of her mane was dangling in front of her face, and pushed it back into place with a hoof. "Hello there, my name is Gardenia. What's yours?"

I watch him leave and look back at the broken door with a sigh.

 

Me: What a great way to introduce myself to a new roommate... by breaking the door... *sigh* 

 

I turn around and notice Denim wandering through the hallway.  I come up to her and confront her.

 

Me: Um... hi.. I'm new here... um... where would I go to fix a broken lock exactly?

There was another song I was thinking about, but I didn't want to weird you out with something overly romantic when we just met yesterday. So... now what? Denim raises an eyebrow at the new stallion's question, "What the hell were you doing to end up breaking a lock?"

 

She said, with a slightly amused giggle, "You could probably try and find the custodian or something, he could probably help you with that better than me, I've only been here since yesterday. I could always try taking a look at it though. Depending on the circumstances, I might be able to fix it."

 

She holds out a hoof, "I'm Denim, by the way. Who're you?"

Me: My names Cloud... Cloudchaser... and um... well my key wasn't working for some reason so I asked a stallion named Redstorm for help and well... I guess he decided to kick the door down... *I rub my forehead* Well uh... it's good to meet you Denim... um... thanks for the help.  Maybe I'll see you later?

Minty trotted back to the dorm. "Hmm. Where's Blaze?" She trotted around and noticed his suitcase isn't there. "Hmm. I guess Windy kicked Blaze out or something." Minty said to herself. Minty sighed. "I'll look for him." Minty trotted out of the room, and throughout the university.

Windy thought for a moment, the turned to Blaze. "You know what I think? You're gonna get this super hot mare for a roommate and be the luckiest stallion on Campus. And as for the couch, my Business Administration 101 professor has a couch in his office. I'll gladly steal it and give it to you of you want! And we'd better ham out again soon, cuz when I wasn't being a competitive little prick, we got along great!" Walking with Blaze I the door, Windy asked do you want any help finding your room?"

Minty trotted back to the dorm with Windy. "Hey, Windy! Is Blaze in a different dorm now? Windy?" She trotted into the dorm, and noticed he wasn't there. She trotted to a balcony, and sat there, thinking over the whole situation. "Ah well, at least Blaze is happy."

Minty smiled.

 

Blaze gave a panicked look. "What?! I never said that at all! N-no we just... We just share the same dorm. Nothing like that at all. I still... Umm..." He facehoofed. "Look I know it is probably too obvious by now and that's fine, but..." He shook his head. "I'm just going to ask. What do you think of me? As in, d-do you like me? "Wellp, I like you, but you seem to be busy with that mare over there, so.. ciao!" Minty joked by saying an Italian goodbye. Well, he parents were Italian. She trotted away from Blaze's new room, content. She didn't mind a heartbreak, only if the stallion was happy.

Denim chuckles, nodding slightly, "Oooh I see. Well, I can see how not being in would be frustrating! To bad I didn't come by sooner, I probably could have picked the lock for you," She shrugs, "But yeah... I can't fix broken door. Well, not at the moment. I just got done doing that with my own bedroom... Long story."

 

She nods again, giving him a wave, "Hey, it was nice meeting you to Cloudchaser! Heh, we probably will. I mean, we are going to be in this college for the next four years!"

 

Denim waves once more and begins to trot away, "Good luck with the door!"

Gardenia noticed Mint do an odd gesture at her with her hoof, "What does she mean by doing that? Is that a greeting, of some sort? Should I respond in kind?" Gardenia heard that Mint was talking, but she couldn't quite make out the words.

 

Before Gardenia could figure out how to properly respond, Mint trotted away.

Me: Nice mare... oh!  Gosh... dangit I don't know where the janitor is... (I sight to myself) How hard can it be to find somepony to fix a lock on a door... (I start walking through the halls, looking for either the janitor or somepony to help me find said employee.)

"Phew..." I finally land, completely exhausted and start walking back to the dorm.

"I guess kicking the door down got him mad..." I say when entering the dorm and not finding cloud.

"Well yeah, that was... I didn't really think that through, but it got the job done... I suppose I'll just keep exploring..." I mumble to myself while walking aimlessly down the halls.

As you walk in through the door to the school, you notice a turquoise unicorn with a blue and sliver mane wandering down the hall, not really paying attention and mumbling to himself as well...

 

Me: I can't believe I forgot to ask where the janitors is, I mean who does that... it's just ridiculous, and who get's their door kicked down of the first day... geez making a good first impression aren't you Cloud...
