Is Twilight going to replace all the other princess in Season 4?

Im worried about this right now? Is she? Cause I have a feeling she will take all their duty and have lest time for her friends. Can anyone figure this out?!

I do not think so. It has already been established (because a bunch of people were complaining about Alicorn Twilight) that Twilight will still be Twilight. And come on! think about it? do you really think Celestia and Luna will give that many duties to a "regular unicorn" that achieved what only another could do?......I mean maybe Trolluna and Trollestia will but their chances of appearing are 2%

extremely unlikely, neither the show, nor the dev team has given us any indication on any of the princesses being replaced or even, for that matter, on why any of them SHOULD be replaced.

 

And since Celestia, Luna, and Cadance are basically recurring characters, even the show's target audience would call foul for killing them off or even, to use the term from TV Tropes, 'putting them on the bus'.

 

If half the brony fanbase was already going nuts over Twilight  becoming an Alicorn (even though Meghan McCarthy basically said the transformation is actually more paltry than many of us thought it was), It's high doubtful the show could get away with throwing the other princesses out of the picture.

 

Oh, and Meghan McCarthy already said Twilight WON'T, I repeat, WON'T be separated from her friends, I suggest to keep that in mind next you consider bringing this up.

Lets go to the intended audience the little girls, her becoming a princess seems just something for little girls dreams, but shouldn't effect the show in the way you're worried. Thats just my opinion i may be wrong.

The only possible princess I could see her replacingat all  is Celestia. If they did go that route with the story, it would not be for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time, so I would not worry either way. I think many are just over-fearing this particular thing a bit too much.

 

Besides, Tara Strong herself already said that Twilight will not leave her friends.

for the more centered around the fans and fandom comic of my little pony, yes i do believe at some point of time celestia and or luna will be forced to make a decision that makes a subplot or ark. but for the show no its cute action and more slice of life so i think we will never see the fall of luna or celestia

Where on earth is this worry coming from? Neither Hasbro nor DHX are like Joss Wedon or George R.R. Martin. They're not about to go wholesale slaughter on their cast of princesses. It's far more likely that they'll continue to add more each season, to the point that the entire cast will be princesses. Wait for Disney to buy out Hasbro at the end of Season 4. Princesses for Everyone!

I tell you what though i do see good routes for episodes though, the obvious fying lessson episode to what i see as Twilight becoming a royal snob and alienates her friends then finaly realizing what she has done (prolly by losing her wings but who knows) and has to work at getting forgivness from them and regain their friendship. There may be other ways for that but just a quick spitballing there

Certainly not. Each princess has her own individual role. Celestia is the princess of the day. Luna is the princess of the night. Cadance is the princess of love. Everything points to Twilight being the princess of friendship. 

 

Also, if she takes on the responsibilities of all the princesses (even if she hasn't been trained in those roles, as she has with friendship), then that makes her one busy mare in Season 4. She would no longer be able to remain as part of the Mane 6, should it happen. This is an exceedingly unlikely outcome. 

 

If the creators want her to remain relevant in the next season, then they'll have to keep her focused on her role. She was the student of friendship, and now she's the princess of friendship. I highly doubt she'll be replacing the other princesses.

But if her biography will at least be somewhat like Cadence's she will possibly get a nice place to rule that goes along with her Special Talent and which apears/reappears right in time. Or Twilight was born right in time to become a princess before that place comes up. Not sure how free will/predetermintion/destiny/Celestia's will work in the pony world.

She will not 'replace' the other ones. Faust's plan was that Twilight should be Celestia's successor at some point. But since she is no longer part of the crew...

There is no freaking way that she will replace all the other princesses. Cadance is too popular amongst little girls because when you think about it, she's the most stereotypical 'pretty pink' princess (although she's still a great character.). It doesn't make any sense for Celestia to just leave either since she sells well with toys. Luna isn't that popular amongst the actual demographic but her leaving will have a serious effect on the show. Plus, how are they going to leave? There's no way they'll be killed off and them disappearing isn't a good enough excuse.

@@DashieLives, um, why are you worried?  Seriously, please explain, I'm actually curious because you gave no valid argument to back up these fears of yours.  I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but you gave no valid or viable reasons that this scenario would ever play out, nor has anything that Studio B has done thus far indicate that the show would ever go in this direction.  For one, we don't even know what Twilight's responsibilities as princess will be, but from what Studio B has indicated thus far, she'll still be living in Ponyville.  Second, each of the princesses has very different responsibilities, and even different jurisidictions.  Celestia handles Equestria's day-to-day affairs and raises/lowers the sun, Luna raises/lowers the moon and shares in Celestia's managing of Equestria's affairs, and Cadence rules a nation and race of ponies entirely different/separate from Equestria in the Crystal Empire, so overall, I can't see why Twilight would ever take over any of the other princesses responsibilities.  That said, there's no doubt that she'll certainly have different responsibilities from what she's had in the past, but I think you're exaggerating just how different things will be for Twilight and her friends in Season 4.  So don't worry DashieLives, it won't be that different, at least I can't imagine it will be.

Meghan McCarthy already confirmed that Twilight Sparkle won't outlive her friends, and even if she did outlive them, she'd rule alongside the two sisters, (or in between, to be specific) not replace them.

I mean, c'mon! It's in her damn name.

On the other hand, though, Lauren Faust originally intended for Twilight to succeed Celestia as the ruler of Equestria, but I guess that idea was thrown down the shitter by Hasbro a long time ago.

Not possible. There would be no way that Twilight would be able to replace the other princesses in Season 4, because it wouldn't be necessary unless she was doing a test to see if she can handle their responsibilities other than that it is not needed.

I don't believe loosing her wings will make her any less of a princess, I'm pretty sure you can still be royal even without the use of being a alicorn. Take Blueblood for example. But if that does happen, she will absolutely learn a valuable lesson! ^^

I really doubt that Alicorn Twilight will ever replace a princess in season 4 or in the whole series.

I don't think so, Celestia and Luna have major roles in the show and without them there will be neither day now night. At season 3 finale Celestia says twilight is the princess of friendship assuming she will be the go-to pony for any friendship problems.

Since she is already a princess we should take your advice and not trust things written on a forum. :-) She is and will be a princess in season 4 end of story.
