I been a Xbox gamer for a long time, PS was fun but i lost interest after the PS2. The new Xbox was exciting, till i saw the revile. So if i do buy a console it would be the PS4. But i'm more of a PC gamer then a console gamer.

i hate the fact that the xbox will have 24 hour online checks and no used/ trading games with out fees

 

 i cannot stand pc gaming for steam ( please excuse language ) is an absolute cunt of a program on my pc i can never get it to work properly. my internet it very jumpy with one second brilliant connection and  nek minute dc'd from the internet.( yes i know about the offline mode and i use that  most of the time to avoid the updates)  when i turn on my pc steam says that the account info is not stored on the pc and requires internet , and then when i connect it to the net steam wont accept  the connection or will have to update but then of course it wont update so then i have to back up all of my games and uninstall and re install steam attempt update nek minute update fails or steam freezes then i have to repeat the entire fucking process all over again  until steam decides to work  

 

but in short will will be spending my money on a ps4

As of today MS announced they change the the follow to

No more always online requirement
The console no longer has to check in every 24 hours
All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360
Authentication is no longer necessary
An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console
All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline
No additional restrictions on trading games or loaning discs
Region locks have been dropped

Well, that basically just sealed the deal for me.  We went from "I want to like this thing, but those decisions are really bad ones..." to "Okay, we're pre-ordering our XB1 now."

 

(Though I won't deny that Microsoft is basically going "Oh, okay, you win, have it your way" with that announcement.)

After finding out that Microsoft had removed most of the ridiculous restrictions they had, I had thought that Xbox One might have a chance now. I might actually buy one myself, but I know I am definatley getting a PlayStation 4, because I've been a fan of them since forever.

 

It's kinda stupid.

Watching everyone hop right back on the Xbox bandwagon would kinda make me saddened, because PSN won't be as active as it would've been.

It doesn't matter, because watch..

PS4 will sell waaaaay more.

Considering how much shit's been going down with Microsoft, I doubt a silly policy reversal and no more DRM on the Xbone will change much. Maybe a few people will change their minds and go to Xbone - probably for the exclusives - but I doubt there'd be many.

I can see why everyone would still be upset over Microsoft and the Xbone, especially since 90% of the shit they said after the reveal back in May were essentially nicely decorated "Fuck You"s(remember, "No internet? just get a 360"). I'm glad that they changed their plans, but they have a long way to go before they fix their consumer trust, plus there's still room for skepticism

It simply boils down to money. Microsoft realized with their DRM, and the "always connected" requirement was a major turn off for potential customers. SO the reversal is a scramble to gain back revenue, thats all. I still am going to put my money with Sony. They've listened to their customers, to me that speaks more than changing your stance when backlash arises. If people want to buy a Xbox One more power to them.

Must I remind everyone that they still reserve the right to change any policies at any time they see fit? They still own the software and knowing the sneaky and greedy bastards they are, don't just hop right back to them so soon, they can pull another 180 and put these back in later down the line. Saints Row, Mirror's Edge and Battlefront are multiplatform and PS4 will be getting exclusive content(not timed exclusive) for Destiny.

It's funny because from what I've heard, multiplayer will be free.

PlayStation will continue to have free multiplayer. That's what I heard from E3.

If I find out that you have to have PlayStation Plus to play online, then they will not be having my $400.

I've played all of this current generation's consoles, but was mainly on the Xbox 360, but after the stuff Microsoft pulled (and even if they changed) I'm not going back. I'm going to the PS4 and playing Steam. I knew that Sony had the better console, just all my friends were on the Xbox, but that's changing right now.

 

Goodbye Xbox, hello Playstation.
