That sketching-practice-whatever thread has made me take good long look at my style, and I'm starting to think I should refine it. A lot.

 

So I took to focusing on drawing yesterday, and everything went to crap.

Oh shaddap, you. They aren't bad. In fact, the one on the right is pretty damn good, probably far better in terms of facial expressions than any ponies I've ever drawn...except for my av, of course, he is freakin' classy.

 

Only suggestion I'd make is to make the ears protrude upward a bit more so it's a bit less catlike. But then again, their ears are pretty catlike in the show, so moot point I guess.

Seriously, those are freaking awesome!!!! I don't particularly like the left one, but the middle and right! I am in love with those two :3

Well, his head and neck remind me a lot of your style. It's actually good, by the way. Maybe you get that feeling because he is not quadrupedal? Do you draw many different things besides ponies?

Your probably right, though. I think a really weird explanation would be that my pony snouts look kinda like an elongated Spike snout, so when I actually draw Spike, he already has that type of snout, so I'm not really changing the face.

Oh my gosh that Spike drawing is seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen! I love his cute little snout and fangs and his adorable little hands/claws. like squeee so cute!!

Alright, here's my detailed analysis of Spike.

 

"Lookin' good. Lookin' real good!"

 

A few things. When I first saw it, I thought his mouth was open all the way down to his... then I realized it was just his stomach scales. Also, his feet look a little bit small-ish, which is just nit-picking of course. I like the way you did his tail. It's got some nice little squiggles, although it is longer than in the show. But then again that's the Citrus style, no?

 

His expression is cute, and you made him nice and lovable. Good job. <3

Love your drawing style keep them up and jest a heads up lunas missing a leg but other than that there jest grate keep them up .
