"Offensive? It certainly was, but that seems harsh on its own. Frightening? Why yes, but more than just the sheer shock of the fire. Hrmm..."

 

"Intrusive." She finally said, but then realized the stallion lacked any sort of context, "those gardens are very precious to me, it hurt to see the image of it in flames."

Scribe didn't really understand what she meant by 'precious to her', it was just a garden. A nice one by all accounts but still...

"Yes." Gardenia stated flatly. She continued to talk, but shifted the subject, "Been in Canterlot for most of my life, but it seems like most everypony else here are experienced travelers. Including you, if the wear on your armor is to be any indication."

He grinned before continuing, as if he hasn't just casually mentioned that he had 'lost' pieces of an antique.

 

"Yeah, experience. Doesn't really count for all that much when your stuck up a mountain in Celestia knows where. You're probably better suited to this kind of thing than I am at least. At least you actually represent the Element your supposed to."

Ginger Snap thought to himself about how they would navigate through the Everfree forest. 'I guess that they would be in the abandoned castle' thought Ginger Snap. He cleared his throat before saying "I believe that the element will be held in the abandoned castle, I heard that the original elements were there."

The six ponies have finally reached Ponyville.

 

"We are here everypony! Well almost, we sill actually need to get to the Everfree forest. I feel like we should stop somewhere like Sugar Cube corner and devise a plan on how we should go through with this. You know, it always helps to have a plan, and food." Ginger Snap chuckled a bit and awaited a response.

"Alright." Firebolt said. She hadn't eaten since she had gotten to Canterlot, mostly out of anxiety. Not to say she still wasn't a bit anxious... Kind of hard not to be when you're around ponies who seem to absolutely hate you. It's not all that fun. But, Firebolt would have to ignore that for now... Hopefully they would warm up to her... not literally, of course.

"Food? Yeah, thats a sound enough plan!" Scribe agreed hungrily. "We should stock up too, never know when you might need a pastry or cake on the road. Got to make sure we don't run short."

 

He looked around awkwardly.

 

"Oh yeah, and plan too, I guess. Cant go without a plan."

Anarchy's ears perked up. "Yea, food would be great. And a plan would be even better." The unicorn nudged one of his energy rings. Well these ponies don't trust me either. I guess I wouldn't if I used the same type of magic as the enemy... He looked at Firebolt again. She seemed to be the only one who at least seemed like they trusted him.

"Soooo, Firebolt. What's um... your talent?" He was just trying to make conversation, but he wasn't very good in that area. He gave the mare a sheepish smile.

"I thought I already showed all of you." The mare replied, somewhat vainly. She then snapped to realize being such would be a bit of a... bad move. So she quickly lowered her voice and returned to a somewhat shy voice. "Uhm... Well, that. And I'm also a blacksmith..." She gave a sheepish smile as well.

Anarchy noticed her tone of voice at first. "Oh, well I thought, you know.... you had something... besides that. Um, blacksmith huh? That's pretty cool. I... well you already know my talent. It's why nopony here seems to trust me." Anarchy winced at his words. He shouldn't being talking like that. It would only make things worse.

Firebolt blinked. As far as she could tell, the ponies didn't seem to not trust Anarchy. There wasn't any proof to that. No proof to them trusting him, either, but it was likely they did trust him due to her stupidity, and all. While it was obvious the other ponies, with possibly the exception of Ginger Snap, didn't trust her in the slightest. They even whispered about her. At least be somewhat courteous. Not that she was one to talk. 

 

Clearing her throat, the mare began, "I don't see what you mean by that..." in a low voice.

Scribe looked up as the chaos pony mentioned food, did he just agree with the colt about something?

"Wonders never cease." he said under his breath, shaking his head.

 

Still, there were more pressing matters at hand than who he trusted to betray them... For one:

And most ponies don't usually trust me, being a chaos magician and all. I guess you could say that thinking people don't trust me is a bad habit of mine. To be honest you're the only one that I suspect at least sort of trusts me." He smiled at the mare, then turned to the group. "So where do you guys want to eat and plan?"

Anarchy's suspicions seemed to be confirmed when she heard Scribe mutter something. She wasn't sure exactly what, but it seemed quite negative. Again, courtesy. Firebolt could hear most things due to her... eye troubles. She only nodded at Anarchy, though.

 

 "So where do you guys want to eat and plan?"

"I believe they said 'Sugarcube Corner'." She said, trying to sound a bit more pleasant. Or as much as she would let herself. She really shouldn't have come in the first place...

Ginger Snap scratched his nose as looked up as Ms. Cake walked over.

"Twelve Fritters, Twelve Cupcakes, two pitchers of juice and... uh... anything else you can think of..." he pulled out a fairly hefty pouch of bits "... please Mrs Cake!"

 

The unicorn turned to the others.

 

"Teambuilding lesson one, nopony does teambuilding exercises on an empty stomach" Looking pleased with himself, he directed his attention back to Ginger Snap. "Uh, thats about all I know, you'll have to take it from here."

Anarchy looked very focused at the ground. "I don't want anything right now..." he was still thinking of a plan. He looked very intent on what he was thinking. 'What if...' His head jerked up and his eyes flashed pink. "I have an idea!" He then realized that everyone was now staring intently at him.

"I'm fine..." Firebolt said, nervously. She wasn't one to really like asking others for things. Even if they were asking. And that included shopkeepers. Plus, her stomach was feeling quite light. Mostly due to the uncertainty she couldn't shake herself from feeling.

"An idea? Sounds good Anarchy, what is it?" Ginger Snap looked concerned at Anarchy. 'What ever this is I'd like to hear it' thought Ginger Snap 

 

"I'm fine..."

 "Trust me Firebolt, you're going to want to get something to eat so you can have the energy for this journey. You too Anarchy."

Plus if there's a Pegasus or unicorn in each group, then it would provide easy transportation for when some pony else is in trouble. You could pick the partners if you want. After that, each group can come up with their own plans."

Ginger Snap gave a stern look back at him before saying "Well, I'm going to be honest. There are a couple of flaws in this plan. One, only I have the map and know where to go. Two, we will not become good friends and be able to utilize the Elements of Harmony if we do not all get to know each other. Three, we would be very vulnerable to attacks by Discord and Chrysalis. I'm sorry if I offend thee, but it can just not be done."  'I hope I didn't hurt his feelings, I want to make ponies smile' thought Ginger Snap to himself

He paused to devour a pastry.

 

"Forests going to be crawling with things we'd rather avoid, you want to try and sneak around them? I'd rather try to keep the more vulnerable of us out of danger is all."
