I really don't know. Global sea levels are projected to rise a few meters so who knows how that's going to impact the topography of the island I live on. It's going to displace people on an island that's becoming increasingly densely populated. I definitely believe that austerity measures are imminent on our island hoping that the most of our worries will increased prices. Violence will be expected to increase and I can only guess how much. There's also the collapse of the American economy to be worried about as not only do American tourists make the bulk of our national income but we import just about everything.

On the other hand, once I'm done getting my bachelor's in electrical engineering, I should have some knowledge of designing electrical systems; especially electrical energy systems. Because me and my friends choose to live together in a single household, that should reduce the cost of living on all of us as well as give us some increased protection from aggressors relative to isolated families which should short-circuit them away from us. Because we're a tropical climate that's caught in the trade winds, solar and wind energy are pretty lucrative compared to other countries. We may not get a lot of rain but because we're surrounded by sea water, the only thing getting between us and an abundant supply of drinkable water is energy. It should also be possible to cultivate algae for fertilizer. Another technology that would prove useful is aquaponics, which is a method of farming that is not only almost self-sustaining but can also be contained which defeats the purpose of using pesticides. Because it is a contained system, it can also be hidden from view and make us look less attractive to potential looters.

On the other hand, should these techniques be scaled up, food and water could be made so abundant and reliably available that we could afford to just give them away at least for the sake of keeping communities stable.

But will there be enough time for such preparations...?

Ten years is a long time so it's hard to say. Preferably with an awesome position as a programmer with a hot body and a hot girlfriend and still playing my video games til the day I die but we'll see where things go. I'm like 100% certain the last three parts will be absolutely true but my career has room to change. I'm only 22 and have the opportunity to find something else if programming doesn't pan out.

I know it's kinda oldschool but I have two major focuses in my life: Video games (and other forms of entertainment) and a wife and family. I want the oldschool romantic life and kids to pass my legacy to. Plus I wanna be the awesome dad that mine wasn't. Didn't even meet him until I was 10 and have seen him like three times since then.

In ten years I see myself doing quite okay. I'll be through with college and will have a job as an electrician. I will also have my own place to move into where I can truly live my independent life. Sounds nice. The only thing I don't see myself finding ten years from now is the girl of my dreams. But oh well, maybe in about twenty or thirty years I will find her.tongue.png

Well nopony saw this one coming, but I'll be a transit bus mechanic at either BC or Calgary Transit. :) I'll be making the least amount of money compared any other CT mechanic, but I'll be the happiest. Still, at what, over 5k a month + benefits/pension once I have my Red Seal, not too shabby me thinks. Wages are only gonna go up anyway! Hope to have bought this old bus off of TRU when they decide to auction it, got my own place of course, don't really care if I'm married or not. Maybe I'll have bought an Evo by then too. But since when does life go as planned anyway? :P

I'll be 23.

Most likely searching for a job, probably still single and friendless, will spend my time digitally cause of strained relationships with my family (there's zero hope of them getting better in the next 10 years cause I'm not the goody two shoes girl they loved anymore, they hate seeing me become my own person).

Hopefully I’ll have a much more positive outlook to life, have plenty of energy left for years to come. Hopefully this is all so much sooner.

I can’t *say* I see myself anywhere better or list any desired specifics even as far as 10 years because I’ve already gone so long with unfulfilled self-promises.

Either dead or living in misery, both of which I've experienced for what seems like my whole life. I've been in a depression for years now, and I think that it will never end until I die.

Taking over the galaxy with nothing more than shitposting and memes.

Joking aside, I see myself with my own house and Pontiac Firebird, of which I have worked towards already for years saving up for.
