well, everytime you post anything about MLP on youtube you are going to get some hate from some people. that's just inevitable.

but for your video, i actually really liked it. you mentioned some solid reasons why it's a good show and i'm sure you created some new bronies with it in one way or another.

ok watched it but... well the footage threw me a bit. Couldn't really 'get' why you chose that footage to discus MLP. what you said was ok... but why keep saying how "gay" it makes you feel? that kind of insinuates that there is something wrong with being 'gay' plus, says there is something wrong with liking My Little Pony if you are straight. 

 

Why be so ashamed or whatever it is that made you wanna say that. better to be secure in who you are despite what you like and stand in that place if security with STRENGTH!

 

Wasn't a bad vid over all, but i can see where it would attract negative comments because the footage alone is gunna attract the wrong kind of crowd.

 

A lot of the neg comments seem to have been deleted so couldn't really comment on them. I prefer to leave neg comments if i get em, on my vids because in all honestly, I don't let them effect me!

 

 

Just my two bits worth which prob. isn't worth much.

First up: Don't mistake constructive criticism as hate. I didn't see any actual criticsm in the comments, but still. It's a common mistake.

 

As for the video: It was good, but a bit sloppy. I think writing a script, or at the very least having notes, would help a lot.

As for the 'hate', ignore it. I read some of the comments - if some guy wants to dedicate his time to disliking videos and hating on people over the internet, that's his loss. Don't encourage him with a response - perhaps he'll realize his folly when he is ignored.

 

As for the video myself, I hate to be that guy, but I can't support the video without being dishonest. The first, and most important reason why is because it failed to interest me in the slightest. OK, you're a brony. Why do I need to know why? Normally if people give you reasons for something, it's generally to defend an argument made prior or to answer questions asked prior. As far as I've seen, this fulfills neither, so it's random and uninteresting.

 

The second reason, which is a bit more on the nitpicky side, is your usage of the term 'gay'. By stating that 'saying I like My Little Pony' sounds 'gay', you're winning yourself no favors with the brony community, and adding fuel to any would-be troll's fire. It also comes with it a whole lot of nasty assumptions on gender roles and sexuality, which I have a feeling you have no interest in becoming involved in. I would suggest that you try to limit its use, as it'll do you no good in the end.

 

I hope these criticisms are of some help to you and your endeavors.
