"I, Cosmo, ensure that I will protect the innocent from the nights dangers, and uphold the honor of the night," he repeated. The words felt so natural to him, and yet, so powerful. "I joined this church sooner." Cosmo said to Altair who still within range of conversing. "Amazing Cosmo... A goddes just made a request related to you dating Lyth, one her priestesses who you already have affections for, and all you think about is the religion you're joining?" Its called focusing on the ritual with said goddess now shut up," Cosmo replied. Altair was silenced by the fact that Cosmo was correcting him, on such a matter as opposed to the usual reverse. "I suppose I'm getting carried away with looking out for your happiness, aren't I Cosmo?" he asked silently, lest he disturb the ritual before him.

"Then I accept you as my Nightstalker. Now then, I'm about to leave. When I do, the spell she casting for my attention is going to fade. When the silver at her feat stops glowing, it'll be 'safe' for you to get out from behind the alter. If your fast enough, you might be able to catch her before she falls." Her horn flashed black and a silver chain appeared around his neck. Affixed to the chain was a medallion with a dagger in the shape of a crescent moon. The alicorn stepped back and faded, the window closed and latched, the candles burned low, Lyth's mane calmed down, her eyes shut and stop glowing, and the light from the pentagram faded away.

Cosmo's Telekinesis caught her even as he rushed to catch Lyth's fall himself. When he was sure wouldn't fall out of his hold, Cosmo released his magic. "Well, aren't you just full of surprises," he teased as she seemed to wake up, "I would've been interested in knowing the initiation was handled by a goddess." Cosmo was smiling, but he also worried about Lyth. The Alicorns words about how she much making the amulet taxed her strength came back to mind, "If these were regular events for her they wouldn't be so exhausting. Summoning her goddess is definitely not something I'll believe is a usual occurrence... These are things she's been doing for me..." Cosmo's initial reaction was that he didn't deserve this kind of special treatment but the Goddess's advice about forgetting his past also sprang to mind. "Ignoring the past and judging how I act now... I'm a pretty good guy." The realization was a strange comfort considering he based such a large part of his life on redeeming his past.

She blushes, "Normally we have three or four priestess for an initiation. I was afraid she might now hear my lone voice, but it seems she was listening intently." She eyes him, and smiles tiredly. "You look good in silver," she says, right before she leans forward and kisses him. A rush of energy from the kiss was the only hint he'd get that she was discharging energy.

Cosmo could feel the energy passing into him, but he was too focused on Lyth's kiss to really care at the moment. Feeling the softness of her lips against his gave Cosmo a sense of all being right with the world. He heard someone calling his name and shouting instructions on something but he ignored the voice, knowing all too well the spirit it belonged to. Altair was amusing himself by teasing Cosmo with instuctions on what to do from where he was, "...and when the two of get in bed, you've got to/ Oh buck it your not even listening." The spirit was smiling, pleased to see Cosmo in such a happy moment, though still plotting his small revenge for being ignored in the corner of the room where Cosmo tossed him during the ritual.

She broke the kiss and smiled tiredly at him. She felt funny, and the next words out of her mouth were, "Cosmo, I think I'm going to-" and then she fainted from exahstion on his shoulder, her legs still locked in a standing position. She had more strength then previously believed in those smallish legs of hers.

Cosmo frowned from both dissapointment the kiss ended and concern for Lyth. He switched to holding her with Telekinesis and gently moved to her bed. Cosmo pulled a cover over her and smiled at how cute she was as she slept. "Good night Lyth," he said before he blew out the remaining candles and walked out of her room, closing the door quietly. As he got to his room, Cosmo sat on his bed in a medatation form and waited about fifteen minutes or so then teleported Altiar to him. The sword hadnt hit the bed before Altair jumped out and punched Cosmo with surprising force for a spirit. "You aren't the only one with Telekinesis, bucker," Altair shouted a giant grin on his face. Cosmo was stunned by having been hit by a ghost but just started laughing, and Altair soon joined him. "That was payback the stuff you were saying wile I was kissing Lyth. If I wasn't enjoying the kiss so much I would've turned around and tossed you out the window." The two of them soon calmed down again and Altair said, "Lyth isn't the only one who needs sleep, you've had a long day too." Cosmo nodded and layed back on his bed and started to sleep.

Crimson paced outside of his room in deep thought, drinking absentmindedly from a mug of cider, "our course seems steady enough I guess...but we're so far out already that I'm surprised we haven't run into any trouble...it makes me a bit uneasy...but oh well, maybe some sleep will help me..." Thought crimson before opening the door, but stops and Chokes on his cider as he notices twinkle sleeping peacefully in his bed.

Twinkle cracks one of her eyes open just enough to see crimson flip out and smiled to herself, "this trip is gonna be so much fun..." Thought twinkle before drifting off into sleep.

As the ship floated on, none of the crew seemed to notice the ships course shift slightly, sending them floating into an odd cloud of mist, but the mist wasn't the strangest part, the fog seemed to be eminating a series of soft singing, followed by slight silloughetts on the surface of the water, the singing seemed to be getting louder.

Crimson suddenly stopped gagging on his cider, and stood there with a blank look on his face before turning around and walking back up on deck, without a word to twinkle.

Coral, who had been taking a swim, saw the ship change coarse into a mist. "thats odd. i thought we were going straight all the way." Then coral heard the singing. "Oh! what lovely voic....wait. Those are sirens! MY Goodness! I need to get the men away from the water!"

She shot toward the ship, swimming as fast as she could.

Cosmo woke to Altair covering the side of his head with a pillow. "What the buck are you doing?" he asked, but unable to hear his own voice. Altair responded with telepathy, "There are Sirens nearby. If I let you hear them, even your new marefriend won't be able to keep you on the ship." Cosmo's eyes widened and he said, "I should have some earplugs in my bag. Go grab them, and when I take off the pillow, shriek as loudly as you can." Altair nodded and grabbed the plugs and then screamed loud enough to drown out the noise. Cosmo quickly put the plugs in his ears, glad he'd anticipated noisy pirates keeping him up all night. Cosmo went up to the deck and

She bucked him hard on the head. "Snap out of it Crimson!" she looked toward the bedchaimbers. "I hope Cosmo has got out of this somehow..."

The daggers clearly visible to anyone who saw him, Cosmo went up to the deck and saw Coral take out Crimson. Cosmo nodded at her, gesturing to his ear plugs and pulled the captain back into the ship, then took a post to prevent his friends from coming out to jump in after the sirens.

Sole's smile suddenly dropped as he heard the siren's singing "uuuuhhh..." was all he could manage to say, before turning away from stone and walking toward the edge of the ship "that music... its beautiful..." he mumbled in a trancelike state, before prepairing to dive off the side of the ship.

"Equinox don't fall for the voices" Deranged said as Equinox walked closer to the edge of the boat. "Damn it Equinox snap out of it" Deranged said taking control of Equinox and made him step away. "Damn Sirens...not gonna let the live" Deranged said summoning the rifle and took aim.

Coral saw Equinox taking out his gun and quickly ranover to him. "Equinox! Do not shoot! those are Sirens! you will not be able to shoot them!" Deranged turned and looked insulted. Coral hit the gun with some water to makesure he didn't shoot. "There are two reasons you shouldn't shoot. One, they don't know where the ship is right now and two: they are using illusions!"

"Illusions....great" Deranged said putting the gun away. "Well how do we get rid of them anyways" Deranged asked as he knew trying to put a magic barrier around the ship will stress Equinox beyond his limit with protection magic. "Let's just hope we get through this" Deranged said

"Well I know someone who knows shields. Cosmo! Are you alright?" Coral looked at Deranged and had an idea. "Equin...er, Deranged, can you use a net to keep the crew away from the edge? especially the captain!" Coral ran toward the barracks and saw Cosmo shielding the doors. "Cosmo! Shield! Now!"

Altair had an idea, "Cosmo!" he began through telepathy, "I can link our senses, it will boost you sight and reflexes, and in this case, it will let you hear the others but will muffle the full power of the song. You'll just enjoy the melody but not get hypnotized by it." Cosmo nodded and Altair linked them together, just in time for Coral's instructions. He shot Coral a glare then sighed and muttered, "Celestia buck me with a solar flare... This'll give me a headache..." "Not if I help! Let me show you the power that turned your bloodline into legends..." As Altair spoke, Cosmo's eyes and hooves glowed a dark blue and gave off a night blue mist. His coat turned black and his horn became as silver as Altair's blade. As Cosmo muttered a spell, it sounded like hundreds of ponies speaking through him and the entire ship was surrounded by a giant blue ball of energy. As the shield finished forming, the music stopped, thus ending the hynoticism it had over the crew.

(Before anyone calls OP, Shining Armor kept a ball sheild around all of Canterlot for who knows how long and it just gave him migraines. Cosmo can cover a boat.)

(OOC:... Oh well... :) Have fun at your little concert! Jk)

Cosmo was lightheaded but at Altair's request, cast a spell to sense body heat at looked over the deck. He saw Sole in the water just mere feet from the ship, "NO!" Cosmo shouted as he grabbed his crewmate with Telekinesis and dragged him through an opening he made in the shield. The hole lasted a second at most so the crew should've been able to avoid being lured off the ship, and even if they did, the shield would keep them from leaving. Sole was still acting weird so Cosmo dropped him with a thud, forcefully knocking his senses back in order. Cosmo shook his head and looked at his guardian spirit, "Buck it, I trust you," he said with a panting smile. "Glad to hear it Cosmo," Altair replied, "Glad to hear it."

Lyth woke up and stretched in her bed. Her head hurt, and she was having trouble remembering what happened. She crawled out of bed and frowned at her window; there was some sort of weird aura eminating around the boat. That's funny... This aura reminds me of Cosmo... She ate a herb and blinked as her memories flooded back in. Oh my stars! I kissed him! She blushed hard, and took a moment to catch her breath. She took some extra herbs out of intuition and walked out of her room and went to the top deck. Cosmo... did not look great, and that was her prime focus. He also seemed to be wearing earplugs. She walked up to him and tapped his shoulder.

With out turning around Cosmo said, "Hey Lyth, glad you're awake." And looking at Deranged he said, "Most ponies don't think about sticking daggers in their ears, from either end." Grinning, Cosmo asked, "Surprised? Equinox isn't the only one with a roommate in his head, and mine can both resist the Siren's song listen to my surroundings for me. It was quite lovely I might add and... um... Lyth... I think it's your turn to catch..." Cosmo said as he collapsed. Between training with Altair, the goddess's ritual, and creating a bubble around the ship, Cosmo was at his limit.

Lyth moved to catch him quickly and propped him up. Even as a slender earth pony, his weight was barely anything to her. She tried to keep him upright while digging through her cloak. She pulled out a leafy, waxy herb. "Here, eat this. It will make you feel better and give you a little bit more energy," she said, holding the herb next to his mouth.

Cosmo was sluggish but he got the herb and started eating it. His body was so tired his tongue didn't even notice what it tasted like, but he felt a bit better and started to make it back to his room. "Thanks," he told Lyth with a smile. He held her for support and they walked back to his room where he switched to Altair's help getting in bed. His mind was a completely different matter, the day's events only stimulated thought and his magic supply was practically intact. Laying his bed, he grabbed a chair with Telekinesis and pulled it over and asked Lyth, "Mind chatting for a while? My body can't move but my mind is on fire so I'd like to understand a few things about that ritual."

(Seems like a good topic to discuss)

(OoC: Well... way to wait for me to respond. I wanted to have Rainbow knock Swordpoint to the ground or something comical. Now I have to settle for this.)

Swordpoint glanced around. "What... what is this?" You poor hero... All that fighting to redeem your soul. Swordpoint shifted his gaze around the ship hastily. "Who... who are you?" Only you can hear us... We want to help you. "Help me?"

Rainbow leapt into the air. "Hey! What's going on?! And what was that weird singing?"

We can wipe away your torment. You will be free from your guilt and sins. Swordpoint shook his head. "But how? How can you erase what I have done?" Our power is great. Only trust us... But to show you the way, we must be able to sing. Swordpoint became mesmerized. "How can I allow you to sing?" Kill the unicorn who cast the barrier... He must die if you are to cleanse yourself. Swordpoint nodded. "Yes. I must cleanse my sins." He used his magic to conjure his lance and faced Cosmo. "Cosmo must die."

Rainbow watched Swordpoint curiously. "Hey, what are you doing? Put that away! HEY! Are you even listening?!"

As Swordpoint began to approach Cosmo, Rainbow darted toward him. He hit her with the back of the lance, knocking her to the deck, where she hit her head and was knocked unconscious.
