Tempest rode in a carriage to the Blueblood manor and wasn't exactly happy about it. "This had better be worth it." He said. The cyan pegesus didn't exactly like parties, especially ones that involved nobles. Tempest didn't have his dual swords, and was wearing a standard tuxedo, which was also another reason why he was agitated..

 

Ivy smiled and playfully hit Tempest on the arm. "At least we get to spend some time together, even if we aren't really dating anymore." She said.

Serenity, Unfortunately coming by herself, was dressed in a formal tuxedo. She wasn't much for dresses, but at the same time she wasn't one for clothes either. But due to the formality of the party, it was the best she could do. She sat back and relaxed in the seat as the Pegasi flew her off to Canterlot. She lived in Ponyville most of the time, but she travelled. She had a couple of friends in high places. DJs, Celebrities, and of course a certain Prince. She had spent some of her days in the castle when she was waiting for her home to be built. Her room was right next to Blueblood's. They got to know each other over the two weeks she was living there and they became good friends.

 

As the carriage lowered itself Serenity hopped out to see a rather nice looking Manor. "Never knew Blueblood had style" Serenity said to herself. She approached the Manor and knocked on the door. One of the guards let her in. "First one here" the Pegasus said to the griffon. 'Good' she thought to herself as she stepped through the building.

Curious was leaning his barrel* over the edge of the carriage, his face's expression a mixture of disgust and annoyance. "What in bloody Tartarus does 'Prince' Blueblood think he is doing, inviting us to a party?" His wings flared out in agitation, "really, I don't even think he's a real prince. That's probably just his first name. Conceited parents, nothing more." Curious didn't mind wearing a tuxedo, but he made sure to keep his scarf on. It wasn't exactly up to formal standards, but frankly he didn't give a buck.

 

"Oh, lighten up, he probably just wants to show his gratitude." His sister, Scarlet, piped in. She was dressed in a nice, but noticably short, black dress. 

 

"Gratitude? For what? I find out of his personal guards was taking bribes to steal lock of his mane for some depraved fan, and Blueblood invites me over to some formal, exclusive gathering? There's something fishy about it all."

 

*((the equivalent of the stomach area for a pony))

The carriage with Tempest and Ivy came to a stop and the two ponies got out. The cyan pegesus noticed a few other ponies and shrugged. "At least I'm not the only pony here" He thought.

 

Ivy came out, and was wearing a dark green dress with silver highlights. "This could be interesting." She said.

 

Tempest smirked and took Ivy by the hoof, and escorted her towards the manor.

Stone heart was brushing her mane. She brushed it over her right eye, trying to hide her black eye. She also had her maid outfit on trying to hide her cuts and bruises. She didn't want others seeing it, and neither did him. He would beat her again....and again....she shook her head. "J-just keep him happy and it won't hurt anymore" she said to herself. She hated it here, but she couldn't leave, or else he would...punish her. She shivered at the thought. The unicorn then walked down the stairs gracefully, she took a check of all the food, trying to make sure she didn't mess up on the food amount, and it's display. She felt so afraid, But she didn't show it.

Aqua sighed as she looked at herself in the mirror. She was wearing her maid uniform. "The extra bits better be worth this." The blue unicorn then heard a knock on the door and went to answer it. When she opened the door, Tempest and Ivy were standing on the other side.

 

Tempest didn't even need to use his aura sight to know something was wrong. He didn't press on it, though. "Hey sis. I didn't know you would be here."

 

Aqua simply nodded. "The drinks and food are in the ballroom." She said.

 

Tempest could feel his anger rising. "What did he do to her?" He thought. The cyan pegesus then nodded. "Thank you." He said, before trotting with a Ivy towards the ballroom.

Steel was quietly walking towards the manor. He was wearing a suit all the time, so dress code wasn't a problem for him.

He didn't like formal parties, but he didn't really hate them as well.

"A nice place where to get food... what's wrong with that?"

He noticed some carriages riding past him. He smirked.

*Heh... I actually want a carriage.* He thought as he entered the manor and saw a cat-eyed pegasus trotting somewhere.

*That's creepy...* Steel then got a drink. It wasn't really proper to go after the food and drinks first, but he figured, that nopony would really want to make themself look like a fool, asking him to stop drinking, so he walked around aimlesssly with his glass of wine.

Stone heart was checking the food. She nodded as everything was set. Then she checked to see that everyone was starting to walk in, she took acounted for who was here and who was not. She shook her head as she felt that if one person was missing he would punish her again. So she doubled check again.

Ivy glanced at Tempest. "What's wrong?" She asked.

 

Tempest sighed. "Aqua was basically scared to see me." He said. "That should be indication enough that something isn't right here. I want you to be careful at all times."

 

The silver unicorn nodded. "I will. You can trust me." She said.

 

Aqua noticed Stone and trotted next to her, but in the opposite direction. "My brother and his marefriend are here." She said. "We may have a chance." The blue unicorn then trotted away.

As the stallion with the gear-covered hat saw the manor come closer, he yet again asked himself "Why am I doing this?". But he already knew the answer. You don't get invited by royalty everyday and this would be good chance to get to know the upper class in Canterlot. "It will also be a good time to see what kind of defenses and valuables that snob have" Copper Lock chuckled as the carriage approached the residence of Prince Blueblood.

 

This being a formal party, Copper had reluctantly dressed himself in a red-toned tuxedo instead of his normal clothes. He had also left his pair of flier-goggles at his airship but he still had his trademark red top-hat with gears on him.  "They won't make me leave you behind". 

 

As he got out of the carriage, he saw that a couple of carriages had already arrived. "Damn, I hope I'm not late!" He thought as opened the doors and entered the manor.

Stone heart shook her head "b-but...he'll find us and beat us....and I don't want to be p-punished" she said with a scared look. She talked in a whisper to aqua trying to not draw attention to anyone, or him. She shivered at the thought of him punishing her again. She didn't want that...she didn't want that.....

Aqua didn't have anything to say. She honestly knew what would happen if he caught her. "I know." She said, before going into the ballroom to make sure the decor was set up properly.

 

Music started to play and Tempest smirked at Ivy. "May I have this dance?" He asked.

 

Ivy giggled slightly and nodded. "You may." She said, before the cyan pegesus took her into a steady dance that went with the music.

As the doors closed behind Copper, he started to look around to see if there was any sort of valuables or security to take notice on. As his eyes scouted the room, he saw two maid mares enter what seemed to be the ballroom. While one of them had a straight face, the other had a look of fear on hers. They seemed to whisper about something but he couldn't hear what they said as the music coming from the ballroom drowned out their voices. "Strange, what would make her so terrified." 

 

He shook his head, trying not to think about it and decided to go to the ballroom. As he came in, he saw what seemed to be two other guests dancing on the ballroom floor. The male was a pegasus with cyan-colored coat and a black mane. He also seemed to have snake-eyes pupils which disturbed Copper. The mare was a silver-coated unicorn with a forest.green like mane. They seemed to be happy as they danced to the music being played.

Stone stood in the ball room. He took note that copper noticed her. She made sure her mane covered her black eye. She didn't want it showing. She turned around after looking at copper, she made sure that everything was in check. A mare came down and gave stone a look of anger "I'll tell him if you conversate with any of the guests, you don't want to be punished huh?" The mare asked stone, stone hearts face turned pale white, she looked at the floor "o-okay, I'll....I won't...just please don't make him" asked stone. The other mare scoffed and smirked while she walked upstairs.

 

Stone heart stood they're looking at the ground.

Tempest smiled as the song ended. "I didn't know you were a dancer." He said, smiling.

 

Ivy blushed and smiled. "Neither did I." She said. "Something need to come out on their owns, I guess."

 

Tempest shrugged."Yeah. Remember that time I sang at that one party. Honestly, that was a bit of a surprise. Anyway, do you want anything to drink?"

 

Ivy shook her head. "I should be fine." She said,before Tempest trotted towards the food and drink table

 

The cyan pegesus noticed Stone, while he was trotting, and wasn't exactly happy about it. "It seems like Aqua isn't the only one being hurt at this party. I may have to have a little talk with Prince Blueprick later." He thought.

Clock Work sat in the rented carriage, his eyes narrowed as he thought of the 'event' that he was heading to. He honestly did not want to go. He had other clocks to design and make, and then there was a large stack of broken clocks for him to fix at his shop. Honestly, Blueblood he's the only stallion in the world sometimes. He thought. The carriage came to a sudden halt, and Clock Work slid forward quickly, almost bashing his head against the wall. He got out quickly, giving the carriage driver a glare and foregoing the tip. Idiot.

 

He trotted into the ballroom, ignoring everypony with the intent of making his presence known to BlueBlood, staying for a few minutes and then leaving immediately. Of course, the idiot stallion wasn't anywhere to be seen. Clock Work ground his teeth together in irritation and plucked a champagne glass from one of the maids' trays.

 

"I might as well indulge in the good food." he muttered to himself.

Tempest picked up a glass of wine and drank the contents of the glass. "I wonder where Aqua is." He thought. The cyan pegesus then sighed and trotted out onto the balcony. To him, something wasn't right, and he wanted to find out what. As he thought over the recent events, Tempest looked into the night sky, as if that might give him the answers he was looking for.

 

Aqua noticed Stone and felt her anger rise. She calmed herself, and served drinks and morsels of food to the guests. "This isn't worth the bits, yet I still put up with him." She thought.

The carriage carrying Curious and Scarlet arrived early enough on time, but on Curious's insistence they stayed out of the manor proper for a little while yet. He walked around the perimeters several times, counterclockwise as he always does, but didn't notice anything too odd. That only served to further agitate Curious, and he bucked a random pot over in the back yard, shattering it to pieces as it hit the ground.

 

"You know, some poor house keeper is going to have to clean that up, not Blueblood himself, right?" Scarlet said, slightly annoyed herself

 

Curious let out an exasperated sigh, "yeah, didn't consider that. I'll just be sure to be extra appreciative of their work to make it up to them. Come on then, let's get into the party."

 

Curious and Scarlet made their way back to the front door of the manor and let themselves in.

As Copper stood there looking for the maids he had seen earlier, a sudden strike of hunger pierced through is stomach. "Oh yeah, I haven't eaten since I landed in Canterlot. Where is that food?!" He spotted a table of snacks at the far side of the room. As he hastily trotted towards it he noticed that another pony also stood there. "Seems like another of the guests" Coppers stomach then reminded him of what he was after. 

 

When he was finally there he heard the other pony mutter for himself but he couldn't make out what it was he said. He had a irritated look on his face and was holding a glass of champagne in his hoof. But he quickly put the of the thoughts of the other pony to rest as he saw the table filled with fancy snacks.

"Alright then. FOOD!"

Ivy sighed as she ate some food from the table. The lights flickered and turned off. The silver unicorn then felt the floor under her disapper and she fell through the air. The piece of floor she had fallen through quickly returned to normal.

 

Tempest noticed the lights and flew into the room. "Does anypony have a light?"He asked, as he felt the walls, looking for the light switch.

SharpShot walked into the room, she looked around...It was a nice place and their were some ponies here. She sighed 'Why did i come here? I hear Prince Blueblood is a jerk...Oh right i came here cause its a party by a prince...' SharpShot thought then walked over to the food table. The lights went out then she looked around "What happened?"

Stone light her horn to try and see what was going on. It was a dim light, nothing much. She closed her eyes and focused and lit up the whole room with a purple tinted glow that emited from her horn. "How's this" she said while she tried to keep the light at its pitch.

Tempest glanced at Stone and nodded. "That should be enough, at least until I find a light switch." He said. After a few more minutes, the cyan pegesus found the light switch and turned the lights back on. He looked over the guests and smirked. "Well, that was interesting. Though, we do seem to be missing one." He thought.

 

Ivy landed in what looked like a prison cell. "Where am I?" She asked.

Clock Work huffed in irritation and curled his lip in disgust when another pony wandered over and exclaimed loudly about the food. He was about to tell him to pipe down when, suddenly the light went off.

"What in the name of Celestia?" he demanded, trying to see in the darkness. He let out a sigh of relief when a unicorn used her magic to light the room up a bit. He made his way over to the light, hoping he wouldn't bump into anyone or trip over something.

"Do you suppose that it's a power outage?" he asked nopony in particular.

*Well... looks like Mr. I Am Better Than You Because I Got Money doesn't have proper lights...*

The room was filled with purple glow.

*That's better. I'd prefer the lights, though.* He chuckled as he saw some ponies looking for the light switch. One of them was lighting up the room with purple glow.

*That's nice of them... though, It'd be easier to repair the lamps... well what do I know about magic?* He continued drinking his wine.
