Would you like a sequel for Equestria Girls?

I was thinking, would you like a sequel for Equestria Girls? Think about it, remember when Pinkie asked Twilight if she had a Twin Sister in the city? BAM! I'm thinking if they do a sequel they could focus on the alternate Twilight going on adventures and finding all about what happened in Canterlot High.

 

So, my answer would be yes for a sequel, I think they Meghan did a great job with this film and I think she could do a great job for a sequel.

Eh, I'd rather get an MLP movie with ponies in it. Don't get me wrong, I liked Equestria Girls, but I don't think another one is necessary. To me, an EQG 2 would be like getting a Toy Story 4.

A sequel for a movie? I haven't seen it since it wasn't at my local theater last week, I saw one scene from it, where Twilight can't get the snack out of the machine. However if they do make a sequel, 50/50 chance we will get a live action movie.

Nope. I liked EQG, but I think one is enough. Like Pony of the Month said, I would rather see an MLP movie with ponies next time.

 

I wouldn't mind if they made a special episode sequel of EQG and added it to season 3 or 4 box set though.

Bro, if they did that it would logically have to be a series. It just wouldn't work well as a movie. And to tell you the truth, while I actually found the movie enjoyable, I don't really believe a series is necessary. They could do it, sure. And I'd be totally fine with it, but it isn't really necessary. The movie did a pretty good job of resolving itself.

 

On top of that, the other Twilight is a different character. She wasn't there for all the shit that went down (and shit DID go down). She'd be out of her element. She'd be like a child who wanders into a movie theatre during a movie and asks wha- 

 

What's my point, Donny? My point is that a sequel (or possible follow-up series) would be rather hard to pull off effectively.

I think a pony movie would be best.  A sequel would be too much.  I'd like them to visit the human world again, but not in a movie format.

It's very early days to even consider a sequel being released. If there ever is a sequel, then it better get an international release.

I loved the movie, but as others have said, I would rather have a pony film before another EqG film. I am not against that idea, just I would not want it to happen for a long while. Simple as that really.

One's enough. Equestria Girls ended up being pretty interesting, but I think it's not in need of a sequel. I'm hoping for the next MLP movie (if there is one) to be completely in the pony world.

Didn't they say that it was going to be it's own spin-off series? I'd much rather have that and have a pony movie as well. An Equestria Girls 2 would be interesting, but there's more writers could do at the moment

I wouldn't mind it, however it would probably be better just to have it as a special in the show rather than another film, maybe another movie would be okay too just hasbro shouldn't rush into it.

I would prefer to see a FiM movie before another EqG movie. I loved EqG, and loved looking for the human counterparts to my favorite background pony. I mean I didn't see a human Shinning Armor, or Princess Cadence, not to mention Octavia. Plus one could only hope to see a human Fluffle Puff? :3

 

I think they should give it some time before they think about another EqG sequel. But I would love to see one none the less. :3

No, I think a one-off spinoff is enough for something like that. But if, say, the magic mirror can be used to travel to other dimensions or something that could be cool for other potential for other spinoffs maybe. Or you know, they could make an FiM movie with ponies, yeah that should probably happen sometime.

However, if they make a sequel, it seems like it'd turn into an entire spin-off, which I would not want, at all.

Having a single movie like this makes the movie unique, as well, which is much more appealing than it just being another part of some massive spin-off series.

No, I'll wait for the FiM movie that is going to happen 20 years from now. You know the one where the ponies will be 3D models and will be in 3D and terrible looking.

 

In all serious no, 1 was enough for me like others have said I'd rather have a FiM movie. It was a good movie but it had to many shortcomings to warrant a sequel. IMO EqG should have been a TV special.

I'm cool with another sequel, there are some storylines out there for one. Yes I would love to see a Pony Movie. But a sequel would be cool too (please don't beat me up). I say YES. I loved the movie, ALOT. A sequel would be pretty cool!

Well I just finished watching the film and I LOVED IT!! 

 

But EQG 2? nah, I think I'd rather the alternative Universe was left alone and any other movie or whatever had the ponies go on another adventure instead

Well, I haven't seen it yet. If it's really as good as people are saying it is, then I would love for there to be a sequel, but only if the writers have enough ideas for one. I don't there to be more unneeded sequels to any movies if there don't have to be.

The movie itself was a lot better than I thought it would be so I would probably have to know more information on exactly what the sequel will be about before making any decisions one way or another.

Perhaps. Personally, I'd much rather see someone try to remake this idea into something with more drama and less high school cliches. (maybe an Across The Universe-esque musical, perhaps?) or fanfictions based around the idea. Wouldn't it be interesting if there were a story centered around some character from the human world noticing Canterlot High's portal to Equestria (word of it ought to go around the school somehow) and they stumble into Equestria, finding a new life and outlook in another world? Or finding an Equestrian instead? I personally think the "magic mirror" idea is an interesting concept, and maybe the fans can find something else fun to do with it.

If they return with that idea, then I definitely want to see all the Mane 6 go in the mirror. That would be awesome. Or paradoxical.

 

Now that I'm thinking of it, they actually did leave a lot of possible follow-ups, like with the Twilight from another city and her crush on Flash Sentry. I'd love to see some development on that.

Buuuut... If we get another MLP movie I would rather it be about ponies, and be actually canon. Basically, I want an hour-and-a-half episode.
