slice of life Turning Daydreams into a Story!

My story idea is as simple as this.

 

 

I have always thought about turning my mlp daydreams about me going to equestria into a story. One problem, however, is that I have had many, many, MANY, alternate scenes for all kinds of different things. 

 

So, if I write this, I would have my audience vote on the one key aspect that would have the most effect on the story. Also, since daydreams never end, then this would be a never ending book series.

 

So, I ask you this: Should I, or should I not write this?

you should definitely do this, sounds like a really awesome series. i'd be more then happy to vote and it's always nice to see other autor's  view on the whole 'human going to equestria' thingy

Well, there is only one way to test it: just write it and see. Even if you fail in it, you can always draw your conclusions and learn something from this story to make even better story next time. But keep in mind that there are already many stories about humans going to Equestria in that or another way, so yours probably won't be much original unless you try your best in plotting.

 

If you have several alternative versions, and they are somehow related, check whether you could join them together somehow. Sometimes it's possible, and then you'd have all your great ideas together, making a real combo ;-) But if they don't have anything in common, it would be better to reserve them for several separate stories.

Not actually a daydream, but I'd like to tell you that last night I had a story-driven dream about ponies which I'm evolving into a story at present. If you're interested, check out this post. I described my dream there, and if there will be any interest, I'll post there some drafts of the story too, and some of my additional ideas of what else can happen. So you will be able to see how the story evolves from this mere dream with some inspiring ideas into something better.

I am bringing this back from the dead because I gave up on the story, but recently I got the urge to write it again. I renamed it, finished the first chapter, I think, and got an outline for the second chapter done, thanks to the ponies of another site.
