Right when he was taking another bite of the patch of grass, he was starting to hear some odd commotion going on at the other side of the garden... Then things growing deafly quiet then... What was going on?

 

No noise... Noise stop? Or is it farther gone? I must see...

 

He got up, and started to trot over towards that group was, seeing that the topiaries in the garden had held four ponies, and a single mare talking to them...

"I rough house with my friends sheesh. If I was being mean I wouldn't have talked to him when he was crying. I would have just let him end it. But hey you won't listen because to you I probably have nothing interesting to say," Draco said as he was bound by a hedge. "Plus I don't like being called a coltcuddler,"

Remmy rolled her eyes again. She seemed to be doing that a lot. Oh my Celestia him too?! Gah this is really getting annoying. Remmy walked away again. She didn't really pay attention to where she was going. She just kept walking.  She looked up to see a hedge in front of her. Oh I didn't... She turned around and saw another hedge behind her. She sighed. "I did. Crap." She continued to walk around the maze, trying to find an exit. She kept seeing the same plant over and over. Gah they're moving aren't they? Now I know why Eve goes with me when I go in the maze. Craaaaap I need to find a way out.

Slide watched, half surprised and half horrified, as Vesper literally beat Draco. I mean, at lest Draco won't mess with me when Vesper's around, but I would never hurt Draco! This has got to stop!

 

As Amour had suggested, Slide hugged Vesper. "Vesper, stop. Draco is friend. Everypony is a friend, remember?" He said, quoting Vesper from earlier. Slide then shot a look at Draco. You owe me one. Big time.

 

Slide then looked over at a tree in the distance, where he saw a small pink dot that he knew was Amour. She's stressed by all this. I can't lost another pony, even if all they see me is another colt. I'm tired of losing potential friends because I have to stand up for myself!

 

Slide was about to run after Amour, when he found himself constrained by a hedge. He kicked and struggled and then just gave up.

 

What happened?

 

Dang it, they're not going to stop fighting, but I can barely explain.

 

"Um...we...as in, me, Vesper and Amour...but she didn't do anything, so don't leave her out...were joking oh Frost and Draco should be a couple...and then Draco said some things to me and slapped me...and then Vesper started beati g him to stand up for me..and in there somewhere Frost and Draco were fighting..."

Had it been anypony else, and in the daylight, they'd probably have run once they saw his piercings. He rolled his eyes, making no effort to fight his bindings. Maybe he'd gotten off on the wrong hoof. The musician gave Eve an apologetic look. "Sorry about that. It's...a tad bit out of character for this to happen to me."

Draco rolled his eyes "Says the pony who got into the middle of something without seeing the reasons first.," Draco said sarcastically. He sighed. He hoped there would be more wine. And dancing. He wondered where Remmy was.

The maze, as mischevious as it was, seemed to want ponies to find the forbidden clearing. Because Remmy did. 

 

The Kythoni Tree hung tantalizingly near the entrance. However, Remmy entered on the other side of the tree from before. A huge field of Poison Joke was immediately visible on her right, next to the venus flytrap.

 

Vesper gave one more snarl to Draco before turning to leave. Unfortunately, he was snatched up by a hedge statue. "Let go Vesper, mean thing! Let go! Let go or Vesper hurt!" he yelled, flailing around, striking the statue. "Let go meanie! Why do!?" he yelled at Draco, thinking this was his doing.

Eve looked at Vesper apologetically. "Ves, I did it. I'll let you down if you stop biting people meanly like that. I don't like meanies, Vesper."

Slide ran so many possible things he could say to her, so many conversations they could have, but none seemed like they could help her. Not even "what's wrong," sounded promising.

 

He took a deep breath, took a few more steps toward her, and finally said his well thought out words.

 

"Amour."

Eve seemed to realize that Slide wasn't really involved, that he was a victim of circumstances, so she let him go.

Eve didn't really have much attention to spare to the newcomer at the moment. She gave him a glance that said, "I can talk in a moment," before returning her attention to the others.

Vesper then kicked me pretty good in the ribs and can you stop hurting me for tonight sheesh. Anywho can you let me go now seriously Eve," Draco said looking at Eve. He sighed as the bandages came off of his head. "Tell me Eve since your here how long are you going to keep holding onto tha stupid grudge?"

He didn't speak a single word to this mare. But it was quite obvious that she was extremely angered from the situation at hoof earlier. He just stood still and watched, seeing this mare start to talk to the Draco pony that aggravated his ears before from his singing.

Slide took many breaths, trying to recover from being held. And then, he saw out into the distance, a pink dot by a tree.

 

That must be Amour.

 

He sprinted out of there, trying to talk to her as soon as possible. What should I shay? If I say "what's wrong," she might explode. I can't jut say "hi," not after this whole mess. I can maybe apologize, but...

 

He finally reached the tree, and slowly approached her. He was debating between two options of what to say. He looked at the back of her slumped over body, breathed in, preparing for her response. And, after finishing his thoughts, he took to more steps forward, and finally spit out his well thought out response.

 

"Amour..."

Eve looked at Vesper apologetically. "Ves, I did it. I'll let you down if you stop biting people meanly like that. I don't like meanies, Vesper."

Vesper ignored her, not making the connection that Eve controlled the statues. Instead, he continued to resist the statue, yelling at it, thinking it was some kind of monster attacking him. "Let go meanie! No hurt Vesper! No hurt friend!" he yelled, growling and squeaking at it.

Eve gave Draco a dull look. "I'll stop hurting you when you stop being such a..." Eve then used a word to describe Draco that is just a horrible thing to call somepony. "And grudge? I have a right to have a grudge." She evidently, subsequently, gave up on trying to get answers from Draco, and left him in the bush.

Remmy saw the clearing that she had gone to when she was helping Eve. She looked to her right to see poison joke. Ooooh what's that? She began walking towards it bbut backed away when she saw the venus fly trap. Ehhhh it was probably dangerous anyway. She walked around the clearing, being careful to avoid anything there. She looked around, but saw no exit. Hopefully the hedges quit playing with me so I can get out of here.

Draco sighed and said "I just bucking told you. Really now here's some advice then Evergren," Draco said "Begin Again but know when to let go. You know it was a mutual break up but now your holding it against me. How is that fair to be exact?" Draco asked. He gritted his teeth. He wanted to keep being respectful buck now he was starting to lose his temper. "Hey where is Remmy anyway,"

Violet smiled at Eve and got up, slithering over to the wine table (Where the big argument is happening...right?), trying to ignore the other ponies...but she couldn't help listen.

She poured herself a glass of wine and sipped it. *Wow...this is delicious.* She thought, listening to Eve and Draco getting angry at each other.
She thought it best to leave and let them talk, so she slithered over to the lake and stopped near the edge, sitting down and letting her tail swish around in the water as she sipped her wine.

Remmy happened to look up ad saw a hole in the ceiling. It was above the Kythoni tree. Okay this shouldn't be too hard. She walked over to the tree, careful to avoid anything around it. She put her hooves on the tree and reached for a branch. She jumped again and caught one, she pulled herself onto it and saw that it would be easier to climb from then on. She began to jump from branch to branch, hoping nothing would happen.

Amour was sitting under the tree wallowing in her own misery and shame when Slide approached her. "What?" She grumbled, pouting and scuffing the ground with her hooves. She knew that she should go over to Eve and explain, but she didn't want the host to get mad at her and never invite her over again!

Dang it, I was hoping she would say more! Um...Um....

 

"You can't blame yourself for what happened back there. You..you're innocent, and had nothing to do with it.. It was my fault for angering Draco. I knew he was going to act like that and...and...I...he...that...because of that, it spiraled out of control."

 

This is the worst! I'm too nervous about messing up again! That's all I ever do, is mess up!

 

Not knowing what to say, he sat down next to Amour, and looked up. I need you, again, Ms. Turner. What would you need right now? How do I calm her down?

She made gestures in the air with hooves. "I want to say immature, but I feel like there are much better words that can fill the role." She said wryly.

As Remmy landed on a particularly thick branch, a fruit fell off the tree, bounced off her head, and landed right at her hooves, not rolling off the branch. It sat there tantalizingly.

 

He slowed down and finally stopped struggling, hearing Eve. He patted the statue's arm. "N-nice monster? Nice monster. Good monster." He smiled. "Monster no hurt? Put Vesper down please? No want be held, monster. Want be with friends. You can be friend too!" he said, addressing the statue.

Eve smiled sadly, and nodded at the topiary, which sat Vesper down immediately and leapt back upon its leafy base. It really did look just like Vesper, too.

He chuckled a bit as she tried to describe Draco. "What was I going to do, leave you out here? Besides, the other option was to listen to Eve and Draco fight, on top of Frost and Draco fighting, and yeah. I'd rather be with you."

Remmy looked at the fruit. It looked so tasty. What would it taste like? Would it be sweet? Would it be bitter? Remmy shook her head. No. Stop don't do this. But I haven't eaten yet... Maybe one bite won't have any effect. She picked up the fruit. She kept looking at it. After what seemed like a long time but really wasn't, she took a bite of the fruit. She dropped it immediately and jumped through the hole. She ran across the top of the maze. Oh no I shouldn't have done that... She finally ended up near the clearing where everyone was, and luckily noone saw her as she jumped down.
