Tom Gallagher 33,625 August 30, 2021 Share August 30, 2021 We’re neutral. We’re not really close friends and their dog constantly barks at nothing but we don’t dislike each other. Signature made by the amazing @Sparklefan1234
Twilight Sparkle97 404 August 30, 2021 Share August 30, 2021 Yes. Our neighbor to the right side of our house, we know them very well. Even though their dogs always bark at us when we're close to their fence, we still like them.

Narcissus 356 September 7, 2021 Share September 7, 2021 I don't befriend or even acknowledge my neighbors. It's really for the best. I'm not a warm and fuzzy personaliy so I avoid human contact as a general rule. Better for them, better for me.
Cash In 23,029 September 7, 2021 Share September 7, 2021 Well, one of my neighbours is a friend from high school, so that's an obvious yes. At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Administrator Ice Princess Silky <3 17,938 November 28, 2024 Administrator Share November 28, 2024 I highly encourage being sociable with those in your neighborhood (if you feel that is right for you). It's a little community around you and there are all sorts of potential friends you might make. I love people. And it doesn't have to mean you get too close or invasive. Can still have your privacy while knowing your community a little.
Snoopy Fan 7,799 December 5, 2024 Share December 5, 2024 (edited) I have next door neighbors who are SpongeBob fans like me. Sometimes they come over to my pool to go swimming. Edited December 5, 2024 by Snoopy Fan
Magitronique 57 December 6, 2024 Share December 6, 2024 Honestly, the concept of being friends with your neighbors is kind of foreign to me. I've rarely so much as spoken to any of the ones I have now and never did with the ones I had as a kid. It almost feels kinda strange to imagine just casually hanging out with them lol.

Maris 0 December 7, 2024 Share December 7, 2024 I moved from my hometown in September 2022. I never talked to them here and I don't know their names. But in my hometown, my family had good relations with all the neighbors and pleasant memories of them are imprinted in my memory. They were good people. Envy 6,370 December 13, 2024 Share December 13, 2024 Nah. My current living situation isn't my permanent one, and I don't plan to remain even in this part of the state, so it wouldn't make much sense to get to know people here. Also, where I currently live in the state the people here tend to not share my morals and values. Plus they smoke in the shared restrooms... Not very nice or considerate people. Oh well, still much better to be in this state than my former state where all areas of it were like this. 1 Everything needs more woodwind! Readers Longhaul 8,055 December 19, 2024 Readers Share December 19, 2024 The people in my apartment complex tend to keep to themselves, and I am no exception. If I see someone, I'll give a friendly hello, but won't go past that point.

Envy 6,370 May 5 Share May 5 I'm now in my much more permanent living situation and still I don't know my neighbors. I don't like small talk, so I don't initiate it and I guess that's how people usually talk with strangers/neighbors to meet them. It's foreign to me and I refuse to do it, especially because it feels like it infringes on strangers' rights to just be left alone. It's the golden rule - I want to be left alone around strangers, so I leave strangers alone. When my parents were here they talked to some of my neighbors, because I guess they don't follow the golden rule. Eh... Whatever. They don't understand the New England culture. I can't expect them to, I suppose. It fits my natural nature, but for them it doesn't. Anyway, one of the neighbors was nice to them. Another was rude and really mad about me having a dog. They felt burned by talking to the latter neighbor and now think everyone is "mean" here, and I'm just like... Why did you talk to him to begin with? Just because someone rents an apartment in the complex doesn't mean they have subscribed to talking to their neighbors. Hm... Anyway, now I have a neighbor who is unhappy at me and I feel anxious. I shouldn't though because I have permission from the landlord, and because my dog is super quiet and I clean up after her 100% of the time immediately. We aren't causing any trouble. Lol why on earth did I go and share all of that? Just needed to rant I guess. Everything needs more woodwind!
Subscriber Denim&Venöm 20,359 May 5 Subscriber Share May 5 Not really. We've hardly exchanged a paragraph worth of words with any of the four houses around us in the last 20 years. They don't bug us. We don't bug them. Except for the grouchy neighbor behind us who called the fire department for burning leaves like everyone else. And complaining to the village board of the car sitting in our driveway for too long. We haven't spoken to him and we never will.
Casey Pones 121 May 6 Share May 6 Well there a few in my neighbourhood who know me, albeit casually. I often go on walks around my neighbourhood and some people have seen me enough times to recognise me and I stop and talk for a while. They seem very friendly and nice. But the people who live on either side of me are another story. As soon as since the lady next door moved in she started making these unreasonable requests and blaming me and my house every time something goes wrong at her house. She calls me a terrible neighbour. What's more her sister and brother-in-law live directly opposite me and always back her up. Imagine the Hoofeilds and McColts but one family lives on both sides of the other.
