The infected were slamming their bodies into the metal wall of the groups camp. Nocturne and Zeta had there guns aimed right at the wall, ready for the horde to break it down. Finally one of the zombies managed to knock down a section of the wall. The zombie stumbled in and Nocturne shot it right between the eyes. But more followed, a lot more. Nocturne and Zeta were firing rapidly into the crowd of approaching infected but the infected kept up their slow advance.

Grand did a quick check. " a little tired, but other than that im just fine! she said. the wing didnt look broken, but it was badly bruised. she used the painkiller, but put the bandages away. " I don't know much about medical stuff, but I can tell that this wing is gonna be out of use for a couple days at least" she said, making sure there was no major injuries. she looked around for food, but didnt see anything in plain sight. "The letter only mentioned something about the survivors going north. They must have been in a hurry when they wrote it. I do believe the next closest town would be Appleoosa(?) but thats quite a while away

"i dont have a first aid patch as a cutie mark for nothing it shows caring and medic skills" Josh beamed still in slight pain but feeling the painkiller come into effect "my wing will be fine in a few days... maybe" im gonna check out the place if there are any trotters up here ill get em there can be many if any at all" Josh said as he started to walk slowly into the buliding

Ghost thought about it for a while and nodded. "Then I guess it's settled. We're gonna take a little bit to rest up here and then we should begin heading to Appleoosa. Phew. It's a tiny bit hot in here." Ghost then takes off his red and black mask, revealing a scarlet earth pony with blue hair and emerald green eyes.

Thunder Roller flew down towards the group which now included Grand Finale, Josh, and a mysterious pony she did not know. She landed near the group.

 

"Hey everypony I had to follow you guys. My family was in Ponyville and you guys had left while I was sleeping."

 

She looked at Josh's bent wing and grimaced.

"That looks pretty bad. Are you going to be okay?"

Grand looked up, a little shocked that this mysterious pony was so casual to remove his mask. "Why, what happened to Mr. Mysterious?" she said, with a bit of a smirk. Grand noticed Thunder.: We found a note that said the survivors headed North, so we decided Appleoosa is our best bet." she said, glad to have another friendly face. Grand kept an eye on the injured pony, in case he needed assistance

Josh returned with a medium sized bag of oats as thunder came by "all i could find didnt look far yet but so far no sign of trotters. 

yea ill be fine just better rest in and add some leave juices to it heal it right up" Josh smiled "thanks for the concern you guys should eat up" he pushed the bag toward them as he said this

Lady seperated herself from the others by just a bit, thinking about her recent failure. She had hardly been of shy help while her group had been taking down the dead so swiftly. Some ponies almost died... "I need to get better somehow," She mumbles to herself. Feeling sorry forherself seemed to be her only solution to her problems which clearly wasn't right. It is yet another flaw that needed to be fixed.

Ghost just grinned and chuckled. "Just because I took off my little mask doesn't mean you know who's really under it. You have no idea who I am. Right now, I'm just that guy in a suit who stumbled into a camp. Anyways, it doesn't matter."

((I'm with the group who went to ponyville. Those were the ones fighting the undead just two pages ago, right? Or at least I hope so... I kinda disappeared for a while thinking no one was one the board. Sorry if I'm screwing up the role play somehow. :/ I don't mean to mess it up.))

"Nah. You guys handled yourselves pretty good out there. It's rare that I see survivors that work together in order to get further through this mess. Usually, one pony runs while the other is left for dead. You've done good. As a vigilante who's quite literally been everywhere, I'm proud of you all."

((Okay, I'll fill you in. We cleared out Ponyville and we're now we're in a different location. The group is hiding out in a bell tower in order to get away from the trotters. Josh sort of broke his wing and it needs to be healed. Ghost only hopes that he didn't get infected.))

Grand looked at the ponies she was with. " i suppose a celebration is in order then!" she said, standing up and walking into the next room before returning with a few bottles of cider. " the mayor always had a stash somewhere" she said laughing. she poured everyone a glass " To not being dead" she said, holding her glass in the air

Every shot Zeta made hurt his shoulder more as time passed by. It seemed like an endless wave of zombie ponies were at their doorstep but he had to keep shooting.

Sooner or later, his shoulder took too much and the last shot he fired disabled his right hand for the time being. His front two hooves fell onto the ground as he put pressure on his wound. More blood came out of it from the gun's kick, and he couldn't shoot anymore.

"Urr.. We should fall back somehow.. There would be too many if we stayed."

Thunder Roller grabbed some oats out of the bag and started to eat them.

 

She grabbed the cider Grand offered and raised it up with his.

 

"To not being dead."

 

She took a hearty swig before she realized something.

 

"Wait. Has anyone seen my family? My dad has the same Rusty red hair and dark red eyes as me and a white coat and my mom has my grey coat and teal hair."

 

She prayed to Celestia that one of them had seen her family alive.

Josh laughed and raised a glass "to not being dead" Josh started to laugh  while saying it "oh and to new friends" Josh said looking at ghost "Thunder i don't think i saw much because of the chaos but they may have been with the group heading north"

Ghost smiled with glee and raises his glass. "To not being dead!" He then begins drinking the cider. "Ohhh yeah. That's the stuff." It's been so long since Ghost had drank something so delicious. He suddenly had a feeling. Something that he hasn't felt since the outbreak... happiness.

Lady shook her head furiously in hopes to clear it of all negative thoughts. She then rose to her hooves and headed over to the the injured pony. She smiled softly as she spoke, "How you holding up?" She asked as she eyed the broken wing.

oops, Grand had grabbed the "adult" cider by mistake (in case no one got that) and judging by the lack of alcohol at the old camp, this might turn out interesting. Grand had already started to feel the effects, and thought she might as well go with it. she was just happy to find some ponies she truly connected with

Ghost realized that Josh was mentioning him. At that moment, Ghost had never smiled so bright since the outbreak started. A thought then entered his mind "Maybe I should stay with these ponies. This outbreak has been hell for me. But could it be that I finally found some companions?"

Josh started to inspect lady for any injuries "he smiled when he thought that he saw none but awaited conformation from lady

After a little bit, Ghost was drinking glass after glass of cider. He was 20, so he was illegally doing underaged drinking. But with the outbreak currently in effect, who was going to stop him? Soon, Ghost fell to the group in a thud, as it was very clear that he was drunk.
