Famitracker (NES/2A03) Cover of E1M1 from Doom

a cover i did today of E1M1 (At Doom's Gate) from Doom in Famitracker, after seeing a guy on another forum making the beginning of one himself. melody-wise, it's pretty accurate, but the percussion is lacking... if anyone is good with Famitracker and percussion, i would like some advice, please.

at any rate, here's the cover:

Beginning was a bit weak, but after the other channels kicked in it definitely picked up. The PCM sounds are drowned out by the other channels though, that's my biggest issue with it.

i did think that the pulse channels, when combined, is a tad bit too loud, i guess i could lower them a bit so they aren't as forceful. i don't know what else to do volume-wise, though, since i don't think you can change the volume of a PCM channel in Famitracker?

it also might help if i had some white noise perc in there, but like i said, i'm not very experienced with doing that.

I only have minimal experience with Famitracker, but I'll see what I can do. PM me the .ftm and I'll look at it.

I'm listening to a few .ftms I have saved on my PC right now that I know have samples in them and the sounds in them are pretty drowned out too, exdeath.ftm and The Extreme.ftm especially. So I think it might be a limitation of the emulated hardware.

it definitely makes the percussion stand out more! thanks Daring. :3

also, Ayo, that's some pretty cool percussion, and adds in most that was missing from the original song! however, i can't help but feel that some of the lower white noise frequencies are a bit too high in volume, compared to everything else. the original song's percussion was pretty light, anyway. if you could change it so that it's not as loud, it might become better. :3
