"At this point the Jester seems nothing more to me than a whiny filly who throws a tantrum when he doesn't get his way," Acheron mocked as he heard and felt the rumblings caused by the Jester's anger.

"Seriously, it's like I'm being threatened by a toddler! Now, is there anything else we should cover about our objectives? What exactly needs to be done, where, et cetera et cetera..."

 

Acheron's mind mulled over Shadow Seer's last words. He could very well be right about not seeing the last of him. Acheron had sensed a strange presence about two of the Demontouched, something he had heard about before but never encountered. If the rest were like Seer amd the Jester, then Acheron would certainly be interested in learning more about them... his way of course, if they weren't willing to give their secrets...

Raze sighed. "Well, if that's what you think about the Jester, you're in for a rude awakening," he said to Acheron as he felt the explosions under his feet. "I'll go see if I can try to calm him down..."

 

He walked all the way to the basement, and found the Jester letting loose with his cannons.

 

"Idiot," Raze said quietly. He slowly approached him.

Moon Crypt looked at Selune expectantly. While he was waiting for a response, he took out a dagger and began to twirl it around with his hoof.

 

White Rose moved to let  Raze through, but made no move to follow her. Likewise, Shadow Seer did not move with Raze either.

The Jester had his energy cannons spooled up and was blasting away at the targets. He was alone, with the exception of one of two inquisitors who were currently backed up against the wall. The wall behind the targets was scorched black.

 

He let out an almost deafening shot at a target, vaporizing most of it and blowing to pieces the rest of it. He then noticed Raze. "Hello, Raze. What are you doing down here?" It was obvious he was forcing his good behavior, and you could sense a thick layer of anger simmering underneath his words.

Raze smiled slightly. "Knock it off man, I know you're pissed. You do a pretty bad job of hiding it," he said. "I came here to see if you were finished venting your seemingly undying rage against Acheron."

 

He looked at the scorched targets, and whistled in impression. "Still as destructive as usual..." An idea then came into his head. "Say... how 'bout a little duel to get your mind off of things? Just you and me... Whaddya say?" He drew out his blades, one of them a longsword, and the other a shortsword; the blades that were handed down to him when he first was initiated into the Demontouched.

The Jester glared at him for a moment before his energy cannons spooled down and withdrew into his armor. He then proceed to quickly strip his armor, leaving him in a black cloak, his bleach- white, bony hooves clacking against the stone floor, and then he flipped down his hood, revealing a skull mask that appeared to have fused to his skull. "A duel, eh? Well, if you really want to..." He took out a large sword and took up a combat stance. "Sorry about my reaction a bit earlier. But, I mean, Celestia makes no sense! How am I supposed to get along with someone with an evil look in his face that summons what we are fighting on a regular basis?" He laughed mirthlessly as he slowly began to circle around. "I'm starting to think that the princess is a pacifist- but, then again, aren't all government leaders?"

@ChivalryKnight, @nioniosbbbb, @Iron Wing, @, @Krein, @Blitz, Selune heard the roars of magic coursing through the nearby rooms. Whatever method our dear Jester was using to handle his adrenaline levels involved some serious destructive use of his powers.

Terra was a bit dissapointed and satisfied at the same time. It seems that whatever the species, the age, or the era-The time-old practice of "Time-Out" worked. It was kind of ironic actually that a practice used in fillies worked in someone such as the Jester of Death. But then again it was used in courts too, they left a bit of time to pass before the actual trial happened. But it was time to return to the matter at hoof...

"So about the mission..."

"Oh i got info on that!"

"And you were waiting for what exactly to tell us?" he says with a sarcastic smirk.

"Well... nevermind." she says admitting her wordly defeat at Terra. He rarely did that... she noded admitting his timing. "Touche... well there is an alley in the center of the town. Supposedly there must be a sigil there to open the entrance. I think they'll be waiting for us... cause the... The demon lord kind of caught wind of me and my magic." she says taking the innocent sorry face of the kid that just broke something "Woops?"

"Well, you don't have to necessarily get along with him, just deal with him. Put differences aside, or you'll never work together," Raze said as he started circling around as well. When he felt the time was right, he charged at the Jester, and swung both swords in a vertical slice.

"True, true, but still. How can I willingly fight with him if I know that I should be destroying him instead, because that is my job and the only reason I am here?" He blocked the diagonal slash and parried the follow-up blow before unleashing a light riposte that might leave a few scratches, but didn't really do anything but discourage further movement forward.

Raze was a bit stunned back from the riposte, but managed to regain his composure.

 

"Think of it as 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' type of situation, I guess," he said while dashing in a zigzagging pattern, then charging once again, delivering a flurry of swipes and slashes.

"Touche... well there is an alley in the center of the town. Supposedly there must be a sigil there to open the entrance. I think they'll be waiting for us... cause the... The demon lord kind of caught wind of me and my magic."

The dragon and the pegasus who had been listening to all the situation stared into the room, the tantrum happening in the lower leves was certainly a bother but not a distraction to be considered. Emi and Colt finaly listened to something interesting Selune was reveling to her partner and the group the "target" and the area where the "serpents" were waiting for them. 

"That is something we must use then"  The dragon said for the first time speaking with enough voulme to be listened by the group "We know what they know, and they think low of us, we can use this to our advantage." He said trying to set a point "For now we know two things, who they want dead today and where they are waiting for us. I would suggest for us to divide our numbers for now. Two teams, one for attack and one to defend"  there was a thinking behind this and he was sharing with the rest of the group.

 

"I believe he have close to we still have close to eight ours for them to make a move... well that was before now that they have to consider us in their plans we can expect for them to rush their actions... so we have to act fast and defend their target... the potion maker" at that time Earth Miracle spoke up.

 

 

"I will join the escorts of the old mare, and my brother will go to search for the "serpents" if they are going to act in response they will be making mistakes and leave their guard down, they could even be expecting a full attack force. I would say that the bigger group stay to defend their target, a smaller group can sneak in much easier and we dont want an unleashed chaos at the downtown, we just need to take one demon down" she said completing the explanation of their plan.

"Taking down big demonical lords is not easy... going in with a small force allows us little room for mistake. We might get overwhelmed quickly... On the other hoof, if there are too many guardians the assasins might just wait for us to make a mistake, or simply wait for us to get tired and leave. I am not saying to use their target as a bait... i'm just saying that those who need to guard the target must be a little bit stealthy."

As much as he would like this was not his own area of expertise, he was surely somewhat interested about the strange mare that accompanied the dragon. His ears "heard" a strange soft melody around her. He was almost sure that she bore some sort of magic, better yet it didn't "feel" as shady as Acheron's or Selune's... it was like a calming aura which he couldn't explain. He smiles apologetically for not being able to help Emi.

"I'm going to be on the offensive... with you Mr Colt."

Selune on the other hand was none too willing to meet this demon Lord in person. Not because she was afraid, although there was the possibility that his influence might become a liability to the mission. On the other hoof they might need high physical force to defeat that demon lord, and that she didn't have... She however had an affinity with the shadows that Terra suggested the guardians might need...

"If you need stealth then i'm right here... But i can go anywhere i am needed."

"Shadow Seer and the Jester." White said automatically. Shadow nodded, and, after a pause, so did Moon Crypt.

 

"Alright then. And then the others will help guard the mare. Although... I am unsure where to put Mr. Acheron. Might I ask where you want to go?"

The Jester parried his blows and returned with his own. "Very well. But I could see in his eyes he wants to do something to the team, and I have no idea what. If I get stuck with him, I'm going to have to keep watching my back. But you won't have to worry, oh no. You'll have your marefriend watching your back. I'm surprised that It hasn't gotten all mushy yet."

 

I'm surprised it hasn't either.

 

"And what do you want, you deranged chaos spirit?"

 

Just curious. White said you were throwing a temper tantrum, and I wanted to see for myself. Taking it out on Raze?

 

"He agreed to it."

Raze shrugged. "Eh, I don't think she's one for a mushy, lovey-dovey relationship, and frankly, I'm okay with it. Then again, I could be wrong. Besid---"

 

"Hey hey HEY! When did you guys decide to fight? And without telling me too..." 

 

R appeared in front of Raze, just as he was about to strike. He managed to control himself, and stopped the strike before he slashed R in half.

 

"What are you doing?!" Raze said quietly and angrily to him.

 

"Hmmm, so THAT'S what you look like under all that armor," R said to the Jester, completely ingoring Raze.

 

"Okay, one: don't ignore me. And two: why are you talking to Cannonback? He can't see you..." 

 

"Uh, yes he can. I just made myself visible to everybody right now..." 

 

Raze was surprised. "But I thought you said to me before that you could only be seen by me... how are you doing this?"

 

R smiled a bit. "There are so many things you don't know about me that I haven't told you... but don't worry, you'll find them out eventually. Anyway, let me help you with your duel!" 

 

"You can fight? I thought you were just a personification of my powers.

 

Suddenly, R materialized an exact replica of Raze's blades. "Like I said, there's so much more to me than what you already know... so, will you let me fight with ya?" 

 

Raze thought about it for a bit, then shrugged. "Sure, why not?" 

 

"Alright!" R disappeared in a cloud of red smoke, then reappeared next to Raze. "Let's do this.."

The alabaster mare listened to what Tera had to say and she considered she had some valid points. That considering they were "normal" ponies trying to get down a demon lord...the first of them "I hope they are really up to this" she thought about the group considering the hesitation Terra showed on his voice and the fact he was already considering failure as an outcome. As what his brother explain to her and told her she knew there was simply a chance to fail, to put it simple everything was at risk. The pegasus sightly shook her head taking out those thoughts out her head and wanting to trust in the strength of their new companions a smile was about to return to her face but a moment after her face frown as "orders" were addressed.

 

 

Emi  was a little annoyed with the one saying what she must do, Earth Miracle had serious problems with being bossed around by strangers, or any pony, but in this case she had to swallow her issues and endure as the mission was more important. Just as she felt Raze's little and very weird charade began the mare felt the annoying vibe coming from him and the jester even with the distance between them...it was not fun . "...Being at the attack group its starting to look like the correct approach" she whispered to Colt who by that time was a little frustrated for the way things were going.

 

"We are losing time damn it" the dragon told to his sister moving his claws at the top of his crossed arms, "each minute we loose taking decisions and waiting fixing "our issues" they are getting ready to fend us and kill the potion maker" , those words were not in a low volume. The dragon noticed the map and asked to Selune about it. "Miss can you show an area on this map where you saw the demons?, it doesnt need to be a precise locations, just an area can work" he said trying to make things gain momentum.

 Selune's thoughts shifted as she sighed a bit. This was getting ridiculous... one villain after the other going after Equestria... hadn't they learned that Equestria was no simple land to be conquered or corrupted? But then again those were no simple villains, they sounded more like the incarnation of evil. They would not be reasoned with like Princess Luna/Nightmare Moon. They wouldn't negotiate with demons or anything... but perhaps those who were following them weren't as crazy and there should be a chance for them to come back if they wanted to. 

Hearing Colt's request she pointed out a spot near the center of the city square where she believe the entrance was.

"There is an alley as i said before... around this place. It stops in a dead-end and there is something like a sigil of sorts that you have to press if you want to enter. Mister Colt... please be careful."

"Remember... this isn't the only one we have to face. We must be efficient, quick, and remember what you fight for... But most of all... i'd like to come back to our friends in one piece. It wouldn't be good if we worried our friends right here."

Selune and Terra knew that they wanted to see each other again... and they wanted to keep the friends that they had made so far. Afterall they were what defined them... and what made them different from the demons of hell that they were called to face. With them at heart... they would be stronger.

Mister Colt... please be careful.

 

It was uncommon, more than that is was straight plain weird, no pony ever cares for his well being outside of his sister, now this unicorn was saying those things absolutely weird...yet it felt nice. The dragon turned and looked at the Selune he gave her a smile. before starting to walk towards the window. "I will go ahead and scout the place, contact me when you all can find your guts and stop playing" were the words the scaled one gave the group before opening his wings and take to the sky in the direction of the "hood" Selune pointed. 

"He knows Terra" Emi said as his brother took off, "thats why he is doing this, the seal cant go down and the time we are losing is not helping the seal to stay up" the mare explains to the ponies around "Dont worry about him he can take care of himself, we better focus on ending the silly things and make our move or we are not going to have a realm to save at all" are the words that come from the alabaster mare trying to encourage the others around to start their move.

Chivalry was silent for a very long time. Which was a little abnormal, however when Colt asked Selune where he should go, that caught Chivalry's attention. Finally he could have something to do besides eat bananas and be hilarious.

Chivalry walks up to Selune "Hi, uh, can you please direct me to where you saw the demons?" Chivalry hoped to obtain a different location from Colts. That way it would be more efficient.

He sheathed his sword away and drew out what appeared to be an ornately decorated stick- which, with a flash of light, became a ornately decorated scythe, it's long, black blade gleaming evilly in the dark. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"On second thought, maybe we should do this another time," he said. "The mission's about to start, so strap that armor of yours back on..."

 

"Aww man," R complained as he disappeared back into the soul gem which kept him as Raze walked back up to the rest of the group.

 

"We're leaving now, huh? Splendid... Would anyone mind filling me in?"

Without a moment's hesitation Terra joined Colt at his side. It was surprising how high he could jump... it was as though he didn't need wings. That of course was the purpose for which he built his hoof links... now he could reach those annoying pegasi wherever they went. "You didn't think i'd let you go alone now did you?"

"Guys i think you should probably head to Terra's direction if you're headed that way. Those of you who are to protect the civilian should come with me! We are ready Moon Crypt... show us the way."

Blazing Storm had remained silently for the last hour and she had thought about many things what the ponies just had said about the tactical approach, their arguments and also their thoughts about what could happen to everyone. But at a point, the dragon said the truth since they were summoned here because it was a urgent emergency. They just didn´t have the time for long discussions even if it was important for a good strategy. Even her best friend Iron Wing didn´t say anything about it. "Be carefull Mr Dragon and return unharmed." she said as the dragon was about to leave the group to scout the area. She would love to follow him since she was very curious about dragons and she was fascinated by their strength and appearance. But she knew that her knightly friend would have been very angry if she would join Colt right now.

 

But then again, it was important to have a backup plan and that brought her to an idea. "Since we have much power already conenctrated on the attack group, but Terra and Colt are going to scout, who is covering their back?" she asked. Without waiting for an answer, she stepped forward and readied herself. "I will follow them at high altitude and if any problems are appearing, i will be prepared to help either the attack or the scouting group. Also with that i have the overview about everything so i can coordinate and warn you about enemy movements." she said and got ready for flight. She tensed her muscles and with a fair jump she catapulted herself into the air and gaining speed and altitude, her flame-coloured shapeline following.

 

 

 

 

 

Moon Crypt smiled. "Alright then, since we got everything sorted out... let's get going!"

 

Iron Wing had heared enough already and just waited that a decision was made. The group was difficult to analyze since she didn´t knew all their strengths and flaws, but it was the best not to interrupt their decision since some of them seemed to have problems with taking orders. Iron was trained to adjust and fit into a group of warriors. As she heared the dragon and Terra going onto a scouting mission, she knew already what would happen next. She had years of experience in scouting and military patroling and she could imagine what problems would appear. Luckily Blaze was about to give them a bit backup support. As Moon Crypt then finally said that everyone was ready and that they were about to leave, she stepped towards the group. The heavy steps of her wolframite armor were sounded within the hall and with a determined expression she looked at everypony. "I am ready to head out. I don´t know how much combat experience you all have, but don´t expect that this will be an easy fight." she said and waited for response. Then Blitz said something that was an important topic.

"If you want, i can guard this place from any intruder or attack. I don´t have problems with staying behind since serve and protection is what my cutie-mark is all about." she answered and spread her wings. The wingblades folded out and made a scaring noise of blades scratching on metal, like a sword was being readied. These claw-like broad swords were perfect for close combat and since they were mounted on the wing-bones, they could be easily used in midair. "Also i think i have the toughest armor here and i would be suited for long and exhausting battles, even if fighting alone. So what is your decision? Should i guard this place?" she asked, ready for any answer that the group would give her.

The dragon was able to listen to the good wishes from yet another pony sent his way, once again it felt a little joy that he normally wished for but almost never got to experience, it maybe was a polite detail but Colt couldn't care it was nice to listen to that. Knowing his brother and how he feels Earth Miracle trotted close to the red pegasus   "Thanks for your good wishes, Im sure he will repay your trust" she says to Blazing Storm before she darted into the sky. The fiery mare looked like a very nice one... it was a shame her friend was such an ill willed one, Emi has been feeling bad vibes from the armored mare ever since she watched them it was good to know her companion has so kind hearted.

 

 

"Gears are finally starting to move" Emi said gaiting to the main group to share her thoughts and keep the momentum in the right direction when she was with the the alabaster mare started to communicate the situation "So just for everyone to know the attack team is on the move. We have 2 of our members going straight to the area Selune identified as the one where the demons are. Ill be leaving soon to join them, so It would be nice for the rest of you to made up your mind and start moving to that area" Emi said with a kind voice yet somewhat demanding similar to a schoolroom teacher. "We have now a pony at clouds, so I would recommend to go to that sector of the city like a group" she said "Does any of the Inquisition or Demon-Touched is familiar with the city, what kind of neighborhood is that, we may want to know what kind of ponies go there to keep our moves out of suspicions "

 

 

. "You didn't think i'd let you go alone now did you?"

 

 

The dragon rolled his eyes, it was not in his plans to have this blue blaze stick to his rear during his "intel gathering", there was no reason to send him back with the others, but there was no way "You know for a second there I really thought you were going to" the dragon said landing at his side. A deep sigh came from the dragon it was nice to have help but he didn't wanted this colt to get in trouble on even worse "Look,... Terra right?, the situation as it is now could start to get complicated. As you can see I am a dragon, ponies do not behave "friendly and harmonious" when...well my kin around, as you can figure I cant walk at the streets or fly across the sky, because of that when I am at Cities like this I move, well...bellow the streets." the dragon said after patting Terra's shoulder while walking to a particular spot at an alley he watched when landing "Im going to approach that place using the sewers" the dragon said lifting the sewer drain. "and we all ready have eyes in the sky look" He said pointing to the sky in the direction of Blazing Storm. "If a  safe route to the demon lair  can be set at the streets things could be easier" the drake said just before jumping inside the whole "I hope you can help us with that" the dragon said letting his body into the sewers closing the iron drain as he vanished into the darkness. "Ill keep my eyes on you too, be safe" Colt's voice echoes from below. A moment after he was gone dashing to the place Selune point.

@@Colt,Terra took his advice and proceeded ahead often tapping the earth. Here in the city his ability to scout his environment ahead was a bit diminished due to the noise. He found out however that the city had been a lot quieter on the above and a lot more busy below. It seemed as if something was moving below like a big serpent and there was an eery feeling that something or someone was casting magic that below the city... BIG magic. 

However his tapping of the ground allowed him to know this... there was no big threat around him... he stuck in the shadows and in the alleys slowly moving towards the center of the town where Selune had pointed out an alley. Something was wrong here... he could feel a presence and although he was sure that he wasn't being watched... there didn't seem to be any interference. The general area was quiet... perhaps too quiet. He expected to see Colt any moment while waiting there so he kept his eyes open and his guard up.
