if you'd like to use her it sounds fine with me, just be careful with this part: "taught her every skill she would need to know (remedies, spells)." just don't be too powerful, "god modding" can ruin the fun of working out how to solve problems and beat enemies in the story, so just bear that in mind

Yup, I purposefully give my characters one or two strengths and a whole host of weaknesses: it's more fun if you need to work together and can't just steamroller everything: Bardic is actually probably one of my most powerful and his talent is talking and singing.

First I suppose you should stick your character somewhere in the town, at this point they can be doing whatever so maybe have them in a tavern or a shop, or at the beach beyond that I'm not sure

do you want to come in with us or will you be someone we'll be meeting along the way, I only included Nightmare because he/she was trying to involve the character and we were both in the vicinity. You could totally come in at the same time as us so we can all group together at the start.

We'll be traveling to the forest next, you can come in around there if you like I don't think that will be very long off now it seems as though the group will be leaving the town after getting some supplies you could try to join the caravan as it leaves the town also
