searching Special Ops (Action/Drama)

No matter what, there will always be violence. Somewhere out in the world there are ponies fighting in wars, wars where death is an everyday thing. 

 

They always need new soldiers, not pansey castle guards but proper soldiers who can take the fight.

 

Thats all the castle guards are at Canterlot, something for the civilians to stare at and take pictures with to show that there is a military. But the proper soldiers go out to war, to never see their families again or come back scarred for life. And those soldiers go to the Academy to start their lives on the front line.

 

That is you. You have finished your training at the academy, disciplined and ready to take orders to help keep safe the ponies back home. But there is a team in the military, something that is rumored about by all soldiers. The special ops team, a team that never goes home and is the most trusted team, even though they're not meant to exist. You have been picked for this team.

 

But you're nothing special, you just wanted to serve your country and now you've been assigned to one of the most legendary teams in the military. You are slightly frightened by the prospect of joining a team that doesn't always come home but you're glad that you were picked to be on this team.

 

Your to be lead by a veteran, someone who's seen the war and has been part of the Special Ops for years. 

 

 

Rules

1. No godmodding

2. Swearing is allowed because you'll be going into war, but kept to a minimum. 

3. No alicorns

4. Gore is allowed

5. This is a serious roleplay, the odd joke is alright but your life isn't.

6. You can die

7. Modern day weapons are allowed and will be used. Magical weapons will be rare at best. This is the military not a quest.

8. All posts that are not in character will be put here, if you do have question you ask them here and I will answer them quite quickly.

9. You are to follow rules, from here and what you are told in character, again you are an officer. Though some rule breaking is allowed if it is small. 

 

Gosh, so many rules but they are there for a reason. I'm looking for about 6 ponies to join this, they'll be going to war and fighting whoever they need to and they will sometimes go on missions. You'll be lead by Fire Sharp, all reasons for why you are picked will be discovered in the roleplay. Ponies will all have a role in this RP but your character wont find out until they discover it in the RP.

 

Please leave your OC's page link when signing up and you can give a suggestion for what role they have, though they may not get.

Weapons expert: Rylen

Second in command/ Peacekeeper (your leader if something happens but you're mainly just keep the peace between officers that fight between each other.):

seems pretty awesome. i dunno if i have a OC that meets the requirements for something like this tough.

i think the closest would be Roarke, but he is kind of from the future :/

anyway, if Roarke doesn't pass i could make a new OC. but that would take a few hours to complete a good backstory and all.

I'll accept Roarke but of course he would've gone through the same training as everyone else and will be wearing what everyone else is. And he can't really disclose what has happened in the past to the others because what you do in The special ops may be the very thing that leads to his future happening. Yeah if that makes sense. But if you don't want that many changes done to him then I would suggest making a new OC, but if you're ok with that can you please request what role he wants? If you do make a new OC you have time.

It may be possible that he can join but I do request that he is tweaked a little, just for this roleplay. The tweaks are that he has had the surgery with his eye but he isn't as experienced as it says in his back story, maybe you could replace that fact that he was a part of an experiment by the military but it went wrong and they've said to you to just live out your normal life. Maybe some more emotion and he's more pony than machine. Just so that he's almost in the same boat as everyone else. Maybe this is like his early days in the military if that suits you better. 

And I will think about him being second in command but I feel that he may be more appropriate as the weapons expert or scout.

I'm sorry Boleman but I may have to turn down your OC. I am looking for, and I thought it would be slightly obvious, ponies that have experience in fights and battles and such, not racers who just like to run. Also his personality doesn't quite fit with the rules, unless you can change him to fit with them I'll going to have to turn you down. it doesn't have to be changed on the OC page but you have to tell me what exactly you're going to change and it will most probably be just for this roleplay. If you don't want to do this then go ahead, but you will be turned down.

I would still like it in detail Boleman, it's not in your OC's thread. Though I do not agree with some of the things you put down. If you've read the first post again you may understand that you aren't drafted into the military, you sign up then CHOSEN for the special ops team.  You are ordinary before you go into the team then built up from there, or they see talent and they build you up. The normal military does not train you  for your specific talents, they train you to be a soldier. Can you see where I'm coming from?

Of course it'll probably be the same thing as the others, just that he signed up for the military and has gone through the basic training then picked for the team. Are you alright with this, you don't have to edit the page for this. Just the characters actions and such for the purpose of the roleplay.

I may take the idea of the experiments but they'll probably be small experiments. Though the scout being done with a fasting running earth pony may not be as rare as you may think. Not everyone will b flying and a scout that can run, hide and collect information is just as valuable as anypony else.

I may consider Phylomon for this but I'm pretty sure that if a pony that was raised by a man that trained royal guards and then signed up for the military you probably not be able to even pass the stage of signing up. I like mentioned in my first post. Royal guards are considered pansies by the military, they're just there as an attraction. So if you grew up with all the skills of a guard then you don't have many skills and the military probably wouldn't take you.

Alright I'll think about it, but when I have I am just going to make a couple of requests  like I've done with everybody else so that he's in the same boat as everyone else. Though, I may ask now, what position are you going for with him. Just so I can get an idea, though I know that I've left only so many roles so I may create some more.

I do like him, but of course the royal guard thing. I like how he was rejected from the order and now he just does his own thing. But, just maybe after his rejection he signed up for the military to spite them, you won't have the daggers but I he can have a fascination with them which is pretty close. But since you trained for the royal guards and not for military sign up in the first place the academy would've been hard on him, though that probably won't be a problem because of when you joined were chosen for the team. Could you please tell me what role you would like to play? Just so I can put him down.

 

After this I may start the roleplay guys so look out for it. I'll put it up here and on the first post so you have easy access.
